Monarch King
Normal Spell Card Banish the top 3 cards of your Deck face-up; draw 1 card.
JoshForever
This is a good card for Banish-Type decks. It banish cards for them, and gets them an extra card. If not a Banish-Type deck, it's probably a deck that can afford to lose three cards. Probably.
Sleepy
Maybe with a hard OPT clause and banishing face-down. Otherwise it doesn't make Exodia risky thanks to the new Pot we got.I am most definitely breaking the advance clause with this post but there's not much else to say. The card is straight forward.... It wants to help turbo through the deck as the Upstart replacement it wants to be.... Hmm...
Flash Flyer - Sakura
To be fair though, this card is basically the new Upstart 2-4. (Already mentioned, but this literally does the same thing) Yeah, you're still losing three cards to play this and opponent doesn't get LP bonuses, but certain Decks can benefit from having stuff banished (i.e. Kozmos off their Field, Psychic decks in general, Shiranui). To be fair, the LP bonus on the opponent's end was generally moot if you could get your combo setup and wipe them anyway. Then again, not really keen on this being another toy for Exodia to mess around with; however relevant they may be nowadays.
Darj
To be fair, the banish cost should be enough to at least scare Exodia players from using this card, or at least play them under the risk of randomly losing their win condition. But I'm not too keen on this card. Upstart was Limited for a reason, this one doesn't give LP to the opponent that makes it tougher to defeat by LP depletion, and as mentioned above, some decks can actually take advantage from the banishments, Shiranuis concerning me the most (randomly free pluses by banishing a Spiritmaster? yes, please). Sleepy
The new Pot shuffles only banished monsters. What if you don't banish 3 monsters with this card? Indeed, but in the context of an Exodia build, I have in mind something along the lines of this spell as a 3 of, plus copies of Allure of Darkness. That into a Magical Library base, with Summoner Monk, OG Upstart Goblin, and search cards like Toon Table, I think the pot would be worth a shot as part of the recipe. In retrospect though, I would need to proxy it and see how it fairs to see really how consistent the idea can be. Flash Flyer - Sakura
This Card would be Nice for my Custom Archetype c:Please follow the Advanced Clause in this section; not only is this under the word limit, but doesn't talk about the card's usability with regards to the existing card pool.
