If this card has a Warrior-Type Fusion Monster attached to this card as a Xyz Material, this card gains the following effect. * Detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; target 1 Monster your opponent controls: the targeted monsters ATK and DEF become 0 and its effects are negated, then, until the End-Phase this turn, this cards ATK becomes equal to the combined original ATK and DEF of the targeted monsters. Now, regarding the effect, I like that it explores the Xyz evolution mechanic on non-Xyz Monsters, but I'm usually wary of this mechanic because of the plays it can enable that sometimes can turn out as overpowering. As an example of what I mean, I will mention the classic case of overlaying Gaia Dragoon over Volcasaurus after using its effect to effectively bypass Volcasaurus' "cannot attack directly this turn" drawback. You can potentially abuse this card by using the effects of any Level8 Fusion and then overlaying this over it to play around "cannot attack this turn" or similar drawbacks; then you can get bonus points if it's Warrior by enabling this card's effect.IMO it would be better it if was limited to Xyz-evolving during the Main Phase 2 (see Downerd Magician), and compensate it by making the gained effect a Quick Effect that lasts until the end of your next End Phase. Flash Flyer - Sakura Posted November 17, 2016 Report Share Posted November 17, 2016 Taking into account your general preference for card design, I'm assuming this was intended to work with HERO Fusion monsters (because there is no way you are bringing this card out via its listed materials; least not realistically*). Yeah, you do have the option of using Astral Force off Utopia Beyond or Photon Strike Bounzer, but that will only give you a monster with immunity to card effects during the Battle Phase. Otherwise, if you do make this via overlaying a HERO Fusion, you get to neuter a monster completely and pretty much set up for game. On its own, that's really good, but the problem is getting this out more often than not. I am mentioning HEROs as a valid requirement to activate this card's effect b/c of your tendencies and the fact that every other valid target either has no room for this card or isn't seeing play otherwise. In the context of those in terms of current play, I suppose you can overlay off a used Acid or something (also Dystopia for D-HERO), but that's really it. * Yes, stuff like Blue-Eyes can technically meet the requirements to an extent, but they'd prefer to make 2 R8s that actually do stuff for them; not this.
