Reveal 1 Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck that can only be Summoned with a "Legendary Dragon" Spell Card; add 1 "Legendary Dragon" Spell Card listed on that card from your Deck to your hand, then you can add from your deck or Graveyard to your hand, 1 card with a different name, whose name is listed on that Fusion Monster, but if you do, until the end of the next turn after this card is activated, you cannot Summon or activate cards with the same name as the added card(s), except "Legendary Dragon" Spell Cards. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Legend of Heart" from your Deck to your hand. You can only use 1 "Revival of the Legend" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

Unfortunately, "Legendary Dragon" is not an archetype, just a nickname, and as such this card does nothing.

 

You would need to specifically name "The Eye of Timaeus", "The Fang of Critias", and "The Claw of Hermos" in order for this card's effect to function at all.

 

That said, I love the concept of the Legendary Dragons being searchable. Fix that little mistake, and this card will give them the boost they need to be more than something cool for fans of the anime.

I think you didn't exactly read the lores of all three of them... As they were always treated as "Legendary Dragon". If they're not, "Legend of Heart" will be unplayable as it don't have its targets.

Yes the trio definitely needs a searcher. So many times have I looked at the Critias Fusions and said "this is so cool, but a teched Tyrant Wings, Crush Card, or Mirror Force just to play the Fusions is just not consistent enough".

 

Though this would not really help Hermos Fusions. They are a little too generic in their materials. Hermos particularly is forced to make the Fusion into an Equip Spell, which means not only does it get less support, but it is also the most advantage-consuming of the trio naturally already.

 

The use for it with Timaeus would be on searching the Magicians and the Timaeus Spell being there mostly for the +1 factor or the Deck-thinning factor.

Though not really because you are delaying the use of said Dark Magician monsters for a turn. Between this, Hermos not really being good with it, and Critias' Materials being Traps anyways, the delay restriction only really hurts Dark Magicians.... and it doesn't really need to.

 

All in all, this is amazing Critias support, a little too slow as Timaeus support, and pretty bad as Hermos support.

Though it does do its job of searching out the Legendary Dragons as a RotA.

Also on the bright side, it's good as support for those who might want to build a Knight of Destiny deck without outright Summoning the monster all on its own. Good job with the balance there.

I recommend it just to grab the Legendary Dragon from the Deck or Graveyard rather than from the Deck only, and that you drop the 1 turn delay which only really hurts Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl anyways. That's about all it needs IMO.

Really solid card there IMO. Sets up a "Legendary Dragon" Fusion on its own and the graveyard effect is a nice and flavorful cherry on top.

 

An issue I see in the first effect is that it cannot search for Eye of Timaeus nor, consequently, the Dark Magicians, since the effect states the revealed Fusion monster must only be Summonable by Timaeus, while Amulet Dragon and Magician Girl Dragon Knight can also be properly Fusion Summoned. That's something you can easily fix by removing the "only" from the condition, though.

 

Off-topic but this card reminded me on how I wish the Legendary Knights were Fusion Monsters instead so they wouldn't require Main Deck space, oh well.
