The Nyx Avatar
Quick-Play Spell CardActivate if a monster is Special Summoned or if a monster attacks; halve its ATK and DEF. During your Main Phase (except during the turn this card was sent): You can banish this card from your Graveyard; destroy 1 monster on the field whose current ATK is different from its original ATK. EndUser
It's not bad, but not great either. While it can bypass the usual "cannot be destroyed/targeted etc. etc." protections, cards like Shrink do exist and can be used more widely. However, the card can destroy a monster with a different ATK from its original one (possibly the one you decreased its ATK previously), but removal in general is preferred. (Now that I think of it, monsters like Clear Wing Synchro Dragon will regret using their effects...) I'd give it a 2/5, if not 3 at best: While it's an uncommon card to deal with and can be used for special occasions (like the abovementioned examples or if battle matters), it would barely find more use than other more common/useful/powerful cards. Sleepy
Seems pretty solid to me.It is a better Adhesive Trap Hole, or rather a more narrow Shrink with an extra removal effect. Similar to Cosmic Cyclone, I thought of Summoner Monk's discard first, but that has been proved to be a little on the slow side so I'd only recommend it in the fun variants of decks. I like how the removal is Ranga Zero-like. It is an interesting condition, easy enough to fill yet not too broadly used. This sort of thing can make for a fun time finding out which decks are better at using it. Walter is pretty badass yes.
Darj
Note that the stat reduction from the first effect is permanent, assisting with making its own second live the very next turn if the affected monster is still on the field. My only issue with the card is that the second effect doesn't target, considering the first effect makes it live, but other than that, looks fine to me, and you can away with that. In a way, it's a better Shrink for the current times.
