You can also Link Summon this card using 1 Link Monster you control as a Link Material. Once per turn (quick effect): you can either equip this card to a Warrior Monster you control or Special Summon this equipped card to your side of the field. The Monster equipped with this card gains 1500 ATK and gains the following effect.

* When this card attacks an opponents monster, your opponent cannot activate card effects until after damage calculation.

You can only control 1 face up "Linkcalibur".

So Linkcalibur being a Special Link 1 allows you if you can't meet its original material requirements use one of your Link Monsters as the Link Materials in order to summon it, then, similer to Union Monsters equip itself to a Warrior Monster to give it a big boost to both its ATK and give it protection during attacks.

 

Ideally looking at this it would fit a Noble Knight or Satellarknight deck since they run a number of Level 4 Light Warriors with its original requirements but if people are willing to use other Link 1's like Link Spider for Example this can also fit into other decks that are also running Warrior monsters that don't meet the Level and attribute requirement.

Noble Knight Support? Also wouldn't that effect make it a Warrior/Link/Union/Effect monster?

In practice, it would, but not all monsters that equip to others have to. Armory Arm technically equips itself to a monster and it itself isn't a Union monster by subtyping. For NK stuff, they technically draw on Equip Cards, though iirc they need their own support cards to work off stuff most of the time. I know a lot of them can become DARK Level 5s when equipped. (Also portmanteau of Excalibur and Link...)

As a note, Link 1s technically don't exceed 1000 ATK right now (though it may be broken later and the power bar increases a bit mid/late VRAINS); I technically don't have a problem with it right now. You already mentioned 'tellars and NKs as possible options, so... I suppose the former could use it to protect their bosses (bar Diamond) from getting sniped during the BP and added power bonus. With NKs, most you get is likely becoming DARK and triggering some other effects; don't think the Xyz really want this equipped.
