Thomas★Zero
Elemental HERO Grand Woodsman lv 4 EARTH Warrior/Effect (This card is always treated as "Elemental HERO Woodsman".) Once per turn: you can add 1 "Polymerization" from your Deck or GY to your hand. If this card is used as a Fusion Material for a "Elemental HERO" Fusion Monster, the summoned Fusion Monster gains the following effect. * If this card attacks a defence position monster, inflict piercing battle damage. ATK/1000 DEF/2000 Elemental HERO Vast Ocean lv 4 WATER Warrior/Effect (This card is always treated as "Elemental HERO Ocean".) You can add 1 "HERO" Monster from your GY to your hand. If this card is used as a Fusion Material for a "Elemental HERO" Fusion Monster, increase your LP equal to the ATK of the summoned Fusion Monster. You can only activate each effect of "Elemental HERO Vast Ocean" once per turn. ATK/1500 DEF/1200 First off Grand Woodsman and Vast Ocean act as faster counter parts of their original versions with the edition of add effects upon being used for a Fusion. Woodsman giving piercing damage helps the deck give a offensive edge to it as it can strike through more defensive monsters while Ocean helps recover LP which and mean a lot if you had used A HERO Lives prior to it. Elemental HERO Wood Archer lv 5 EARTH Warrior/Fusion/Effect "Elemental HERO Woodsman" + 1 "HERO" Monster Must be Fusion Summoned. Once per turn: you can target 1 Spell/Trap card on your opponents side of the field; destroy the targeted card, then, inflict 800 points of damage to your opponent. When this card leaves the field, Special Summon 1 "Elemental HERO Woodsman" from your Deck or GY to your side of the field and the summoned monster cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects that turn. ATK/1800 DEF/2000 Elemental HERO Ocean Man lv 5 WATER Warrior/Fusion/Effect "Elemental HERO Ocean" + 1 "HERO" Monster Must be Fusion Summoned. Once per turn: you can target 1 Monster your opponent controls; shuffle the targeted card into your opponents deck. When this card leaves the field, Special Summon 1 "Elemental HERO Ocean" from your Deck or GY to your side of the field and the summoned monster cannot be destroyed by battle or by card effects that turn. ATK/2200 DEF/1500 So the Fusions are techy cards where them being Level 5's allowing you to summon them off Instant Fusion for their effects and set up for Legacy of a HERO where they both can remove monsters and Spell and Traps to clear your opponents field so you can attacks at your opponent for more damage and less worry of your opponents back row. Eshai
"Woodland Ranger" and "Wavewaker" would've been much cooler names for the Fusions, but that's beside the point. Like that you made Woodsman a LOT faster, but this may be a little too splashable, but maybe that's the point since we already have Fusion Recycling Plant that has the same effect. However, no one is going to care about Piercing. People do tend to like Double Piercing, but only because it's cool and it can win games. The idea of giving effects to the Fusion monsters is cool though, so I would still do something with that. Vast Ocean is cool, but the first effect doesn't have a trigger. Is it a Summon trigger, or is it a OPT and you thought the name OPT at the end would save you? I would probably just make it a "If this card is Normal or Special Summoned" for convenience. Wood Archer is cool, but there are some OCGrammar mistakes I would attend to. Ocean Man's OCG is off but whatever. The main issue is that I'd rather have a cost for such a great kind of removal. I would add a "return 1 "HERO" card from your GY to the Deck to _____". I'm also going to warn you that the name requirements might be a bit too much for the Fusion requirements of these, but considering how splashable every HERO card is I'm not going to stop you from going back to the roots of the E HEROes. Where is TERRA FIRMA? Little disappointed you didn't adapt the card with these.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Just a note that OCG is not this user's strong suit [as is the case for many other users; unlike you and me, there exist a lot of people who still struggle at it]. So...just stick to critiquing and only fix it if it really hampers how the card can be read. So...general critique and then some comments pertaining to Eshai's reviewing. Woodsman: It is a marked improvement over the original, so that helps. Granted, its searching capacities are still unrestricted to non-HERO decks, but I doubt anything other than HEROs would want this, considering Fluffals and the like got their own searchers for Poly, etc. Piercing is fine, though Links don't care and I don't think people really summon in Defense Position anymore bar for Flip decks. Ocean: (For Eshai, both of them are hard OPT and trigger during the Main Phase; he does not have to write hard OPT after every effect because it's more typing) But honestly, I'd just limit it to hard OPT on the first effect and just modify the second one to just gain half its ATK and remove the limiter on it. Or you can just make it an optional gain; not that you'll ever summon a HERO Fusion with under 2200 ATK (Gaia) anyway. Other than that, it's fine. Wood Archer: The S/T destruction effect + damage is fine, but nowadays, a lot of Decks don't mind their backrow hitting the GY because they trigger (look at True Draco and stuff); at the same time, MST or Cosmic Cyclone / TwiTwi would do a much faster job at blowing stuff away. Granted, being Instant Fusion target helps it a bit and floats on leaving the field, but yeah... Ocean Man: I'm iffy on this being an OPT version of Castel for HEROs; you do remember what that does in application, right? While Instant Fusion isn't banned right now (and does have its OPT limiter on), yeah, effect should be something else besides this. Returning it to the hand would generally accomplish a similar effect, but not be as disruptive. ====Won't comment on lack of Terra Firma retrain, because at this time, HEROs do not have the luxury of returning to specific named materials if they want to etch their own new playstyle instead of the Rank 4 playstyle / Dark Law spam they're commonly known for now.
