EXFO-JP074 ゴーストリック・リフォーム Ghostrick Reform
Normal Trap Card
You can only use the 2nd effect of a card with this card’s name once per turn.
(1) Target 1 “Ghostrick” Field Spell Card you control; return it to your Deck. Then, activate 1 Field Spell from your hand or Deck.
(2) You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 “Ghostrick” Xyz Monster you control; Special Summon 1 “Ghostrick” Xyz Monster with a different name from your Extra Deck, placing it on top of the target monster. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon.)

Let's assume EXFO gives us plenty of back support for old Archetypes.

But otherwise, guess it helps with adding more stuff for Spoiled Angel to trigger effects and such. That, and cycling their fields.

Thoughts?

IDK the effectiveness of swapping Ghostrick Fields since AFAIK they prefer to stick to 1 Field-playstyle, but at least they can swap into a non-Ghostrick Field, or activate the same Field just to get this card in the grave. But that second effect looks so fun: swapping between Alucard, Socuteboss and Dullahan to answer different things, or turning into Angel, which can search a copy of this; plus using it during the Battle Phase to deliver an extra attack.

I hope they soon get a Link Monster that goes along this "legacy" support to sustain their Xyz plays.

Oh hold me, it's a new Ghostrick card and it's...okay. Being able to quickly swap between the different kinds of Fields is interesting, but bringing in another card for that seems a bit too mediocre when it isn't exactly a thing I found necessary before. The GY effect is interesting though, hopefully you get to attach the Xyz Materials as well, the wording here is weird in general, so I don't know how that's suppose to work, but as their Xyz Monsters are where they shine, but are now even more limited with the new format, having this will be useful. Ultimately, I think they gotta reboot Ghostrick a little bit instead, Subterror and Crawler are more where they should be trying to go.

I think the summoned monster does inherit the materials from the monster you're placing this on, but wait for Organization to confirm that as I did just c/p off the article page.

They might get a Link monster (same could be said for a lot of other Decks they gave legacy support to / made lately, but have to wait for it). We got until October to see everything.

Already said my thoughts on card; most you can do is probably switch out Xyz if you can Link quick enough to do it. Not sure on field swapping, since last time I looked at their stuff was when I was critiquing that user who made cards for them. Might be useful when needed (however they can pull it off), but IDK. Switching out fields has its uses.

Switching the Field Spell is more helpful than you might think, as it can allow you to protect your Field Spell if it's targeted by something. Notably, as it stands, Reform doesn't say you have to fetch a different Field Spell. Probably will need to be a different copy, at least, but it can have the same name.

Yeah just like the post above me: The effect helps dodge targets while keeping the field that turn. It also has the option of changing to a different field, which is cute but not the most needed thing. Although you could be running Parade and then after enough time might wanna switch to Mansion... who knows.

The GY effect is the best one. A quick effect that swaps your Xyz regardless of the Levels you are running. You gain access to Socuteboss that the deck had a hard time running before. You can get Battle Phase shenanigans. It is overall very interesting.

Though much like how the Xyzs recycle Ghostrick cards when they die, I'd like this card's good effect to not be the unrecyclable one, I suppose....

Either way, this is unexpected support. I like it.
