Destiny HERO - Ruby Warrior


DARK/Level 4/Warrior/Effect


1800/1900


While you control no monsters: you can discard 1 "Destiny HERO" monster; Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can only Special Summon 1 "Destiny HERO - Ruby Warrior" once per turn this way. Once per tun: you can set 1 "D -" Spell/Trap Card from your deck. During your Main Phase, except the turn that this card was banished: you can shuffle this banished card into your deck; Special Summon 1 "Destiny HERO" monster from your GY. You can only activate this effect of "Destiny HERO - Ruby Warrior" once per turn.

First effect is great. Self-Summon (very few Destiny HERO monsters are capable of this), allowing you to ditch stuff that would rather be in the Graveyard like Malicious, Dasher, and even some of the new ones like Dreamer and Dynatag for what it's worth. The second effect: Something the DESPERATELY need. They can search monsters, but most of their Spell/Trap Cards would slow them down; especially with the lack of search power. I don't how you'd fuel the last effect though. D - Fortune is all that really comes to mind. Or in the event that your opponent somehow banishes it.

 

Overall, a pretty good Destiny HERO. FAR better than most of the stuff the previous generation gave them.

The effect is great, but it could've been better if the Special Summoning was also from your hand.

You have to elaborate a bit more on what you found good about the effect (due to the Advanced Clause); suggestion part is fine, but other than that, under word requirement.

 

And yeah, try not to advertise your stuff in other user's threads; thanks.

Seems you are supposed to banish it with Vyon. I like the first effect: it fixes dead drawn Malicious, and in combination with its 2nd effect it can neuter what otherwise be a card advantage loss, although the the "D -" Spell/Traps don't look impressive except for the aforementioned D - Fortune and maybe D - Fusion if it wasn't a Trap Card. However, if this was able to grab "Destiny Draw", then it may be onto something. Really tempted to suggest to make it search Spell/Traps with "Destiny HERO" in their cards text, akin to the Dark Magician support.

Alternatively, making the Set Spell/Trap activable during the turn it's Set, Back Jack style, may help things a bit.
