I always worried that if they ever released this card with an errata, they'd just slap a hard OPT clause on it and call it a day.
Temple of the Kings has the benefit of letting you keep that effect every turn and even then it is not worth playing in most cases... but Makyura is a single use now and if you need it as any sort of engine, you gotta setup again.... It's pretty much trash-level...

A couple ideas they could have gone for are:

-Hard OPT but If sent to GY: Reveal your current Traps in hand and field you wanna affect with it, and this turn they can all work like old Makyura did, and Traps obtained afterwards won't get the benefit so it can at least make a decent ripple in the gamestate but not to the point of Exodia FTK.

-Just affect what is currently already set and don't let you set anymore that turn until you have no longer any set backrow, if at all.

-Hard OPT, but more like Helpoemer where as long as it exists in the GY, the effect can be done in the hard OPT fashion...

^They had options, but they went for the laziest one, that works for most of the banlist but this is one of the few that didn't.....

I agree on this, granted that the errata was 100% Needed it was lazy  (and even overkill given the monster zone clause).

A good errata would have been being: "If this card is sent to the GY: You can activate this effect; One time only, while this card is in the GY, you can activate 1 Trap from your hand. You canly use this effect of Makuyra the Destructor once per turn".

Setting up for 1 trap on that turn doesnt seem whorthy, at the very least this way you have the flexibily to when use it.

The current errata is still asking to have a pro-active (FTK) use to have any relevance. Real Traps (non FTK related) are used on the opponent´s turn

Could set up solemn strike before going for your combo, you can pretty easily make this and isolde under 5 summons
