Priests and believers who look at things like that are simply acting overzealous and trying to leave a good impression on their fellow Christians. Considering we don't live in the Middle Age anymore, that is the only reasonable explanation I can think of. On a different note, I suggest you reword the thread's title. He will often tell the children that they shouldn't introduce the devil into their lives. He hears a lot about the Wicca movement in our local middle school' date=' so when he has his mandatory parents' meeting during our children's catechism class, he is always warning us against these dark trends that lead our children astray. Just look at the cards, they are ugly monsters with dark names. Is that a good thing for an innocent 6-year old's mind or soul. Try to get him to collect saint cards. God and the bible, is basically a set of guidelines to live your life by, fair enough, but all it takes is one mis-read line and then things spiral out of control and people twist it, and start believing things which are not there, ie. the Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, Harry Potter thing.
