MMO'S Educational?

Today I was enjoying some quality Gaia Online when I suddenly relized all the Maths Skills I had were flooding back to me! It seems MMO's Stimulate your Brain and can be close to Educational. What do you guys think? Also the whole Virtual Economics thing. I think it's great for learning about Financing.

But the Gaia MMO didn't come out yet.... :?

Methinks that Jspa means Gaia Online, as in the website.

And I agree. MMOs can be educational. For example, if you speak English as a second language, MMOs are a place as good as anyone for some practice.

(If you end up using 13375p34k in your everyday language, it's not my fault.)

EDIT:

And as I don't feel like making another post, I'll stick this in here. Jspa was correct again, an MMO (while being a somewhat incomplete statement) does not necessarily mean it's a game.

Wait, I have another example.

Playing in Guild Wars as a Blood Necromancer forces you to have a lot of things in mind. Most of the spells include you paying a percentage of your health to do what they do, which makes it dangerous to cast spells while you're low on health.

Unless you run Vampiric Touch/Gaze.

Not just MMOs. But Strategy Games (Like Yugioh) are also educational. Adults think they are destroying our brains because THEY aren't the ones craming the information down our throats. With MMOs and Strategy Games, we are learning at our own pace. This isn't saying, however, that school is not needed. I will tell you a story about one of my friends.

He used to love playing Yugioh in school. He dueled countless people and ranked among the top 3 in the school. However, the principal called the cards a pointless game and banned them from the school. My friend, later on, wrote the principal a letter (A lengthy letter), explaining how Yugioh can be found educational. He described the math knowledge needed to play, the strategic points, and every bit of the game he could. The next day, the principal removed the ban.

If that is not a good bit of information, then I dunno what is :P

I think so. Back when I was playing Metal Gear solid 1. I used to add peoples names and add things to activate the codac. And sometimes it works so yeah some games are education XD
