The moveset doesn't really matter in these kinds of situations, same with in my other post, Beautifly or Butterfree.

What you have to do is look at the pokemon's statistics, look at speed, attack and defense, look at their move pool (what moves they learn automatically, and which ones they can learn through TM/HM) and then its a matter of juggling numbers. Obviously the faster one will go first, but you have to calculate resistances, weaknesses, defense stats, attack stats, attack strengths, abilities.

There's more to pokemon than just moves and typings, its a whole new world of areas and depth that must be reached to understand the logistics of a game like pokemon. On the surface it seems simple, but the underbelly is very complex.

In a situation like this, providing just for statistics sake, and ignoring the move typings, its a close match.

If the Infernape is a male gender (which statistically it is about an 85% chance it will be), any infatuation move immobilizes it, giving Jynx the upper hand. Team her Immobilizing moves alongside any poison, paralysis, or sleep moves and Infernape is down for the count and open for a free beating.

Infernape may have the speed advantage, and both have great attack abilities to use against the other, but from a purely tactical standpoint, Jynx has the match, if the Infernape is a male. If the Infernape is a female, she still has the ability to paralyze, put to sleep or poison it, so Jynx would tactically have the better vantage point. Even though Infernape is a stage 3 evolution, it does not have the attack abilities that Jynx is lucky enough to get.

So your saying they are gonna need to attack with statistics? You might wanna state that in yah first post. Anyways I would choose Infernape because it would probally get the first attack in and with the right equip item and move it can take jynx down it one blow.

[/quote']so your saying the person using infernape wont attack the first turn and get hit by a

99.9% chance move and a 85%

EDIT: I calculated wrong, hynosus has a accrasy of 70% not 85% my bad
