Skuldur
in this format Instant Fusion is more powerful but back when TER was around Metamorphosis was much more powerful. It depends on the format

Skuldur
Metamorphosis is more banworthy since, Cyber Twin Dragon is still legal. Special summon JD use his effect, then use Metamorphosis get CTD summon another monster and attack. but Instant Fusion works much better with Synchros
Phantom Roxas
Well Metamorphasis is already banned so... That doesn't matter in this discussion. Correct' date=' since we're discussing whether or not it should stay banned and if Instant Fusion should take it's place. Metamorphosis is more banworthy since, Cyber Twin Dragon is still legal. Special summon JD use his effect, then use Metamorphosis get CTD summon another monster and attack. but Instant Fusion works much better with Synchros Hm, that raises a good point. However, then either JD or CTD should be banned.
Skuldur
metamorphosis has always been balanced but other cards that can be abused with it make it good. metamorphosis should have never been banned but konami logic is konami logic
Exiro
Both are not ban/limit-worthy. 'Not' equals 'not'. Therefore, they are both equally ban/limit-worthy.
Skuldur
neither are banworthy but lets discuss the cards still

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Metamorphosis and Instant Fusion do different things, and attempt to accomplish different goals. Instant Fusion is used for Tribute , Fusion, and Synchro Summoning. Metamorphosis is used for getting out Fusions with good effects to dominate the field better. Metamorphosis is not ban worthy, as any combo that makes it ban worthy would, more than likely, be with a card that is worthy of being banned (like Demise). It does not assist with Synchros at all, unless you count tributing a Synchro for its effect. And other than Cyber Twin, there are not many great targets for this card. Instant Fusion is a card that is balanced in advantage, and cannot be used effectively without another card to use its effect with. Summoning a 2400 ATK monster by using another card with this one does not exactly go along the lines of being able to be banned.

Mr. Judgment Dragon
Instant Fusion is better for giving you a free Tribute and to help you Synchro Summon. Metamorphosis seems to be better for OTK's such as the Cyber Twin Dragon one with Demise. Metamorphosis is actually balanced by itself when you first look at it. The cards Metamorphosis combos with are what makes it unbalanced. If the cards it combos with get banned, there is no reason why Metamorphosis needs to stay banned.
