Oscuro
This is my first thread on the TCG forum.I searched for an existing thread with this card, but I couldn't find ^^
Card Lore]1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, gain Life Points equal to that monster's original ATK. You can pay 1000 Life Points to negate the activation of a Spell or Trap Card that targets 1 Psychic-Type monster, and destroy it. My statement: So, he is "unaffected" to Spell and Trap Card and he also can protect other psychic monsters. And the Life Points you have paid, you can get back by battle. Maybe too powerful?! Or balanced?!Discuss.... How to discuss: The pictureShould it get banned, limited.....?The card in general
Flame Dragon
Good picNoHe is decent, but their are better Synchro monsters to summon then this. Still ATM their is no reason to not run him.
Sixty
Epic art. No. I'd rather summon Stardust, but it's a monster to consider.
Mr. Judgment Dragon
Art is pretty good. Hardly banworthy. It isnt the least bit broken. It cant negate Fissure (still widely used), Lightning Vortex, Mirror Force. Its an OK card but there are better options.
GenzoTheHarpist
It's a good, balanced card.
OnSlaUghT
the art is cool no the card is really good, but his last effect also includes him, so maybe it's overpowered. Did you know for my first TDGS pack I pulled 2 Rares, a shield warrior and an Ultimate rare Thought Ruler Archfiend? Pretty cool, eh?

Skuldur
Great art um.. No there are better options out there but since there aren't many synchros out there is no reason not to deck him
Azure
It's a great pic. but I must say I really like the claws. It should be banned becuase when more physic cards come out he will make them impossible to beat.I like the name and the pic., it has room in my deck (if I make a physic deck). Sander
It should be banned becuase when more physic cards come out he will make them impossible to beat. No, if you really want to abuse it, you have to make a Deck that completely concentrates on Psychic's.
Master Hyperion
Gotta love that artNot even close to being banwortyOnly use in Psychics, due the high LP payment. Otherwise, just use Startdust.
Guest Star
Gotta love that artNot even close to being banwortyOnly use in Psychics' date=' due the high LP payment. Otherwise, just use Startdust.[/quote'] Only use in Psychics? This is one of the best Synchro monsters out right now. The fact that it has self-protection is what makes it good, but the Life Point gain is an extra effect that makes it even better.
The Dark One
His Life Point gaining effect is actually huge. That doesn't make him great by itself, but it can win games. The only non-targeting S/T seen commonly in maindecks in this meta are Mirror Force and Torrential Tribute. Other popular cards are PWWB, Shrink, Enemy Controller, Book of Moon, Brain Control, Mind Control, Cumpulsary Evac Device, etc. Those all target. His protection effect is better against Anti-Synchro (Evac, PWWB, Shrink) and Pro-Synchro (Mind Control, Brain Control) tech. Stardust stops all the mass-destruction effects so it can handle the protection of a full field. Basically, Thought Ruler Archfiend is a better stand-alone monster than Stardust. Phantom Roxas
1) The pic is epic win.2) No, not even Konami's that stupid.3) Good card, but I'd rather run Stardust Dragon. If this card was at least 100 point stronger and also worked against Monster Effects, this would be win against Dark Armed Dragon.
GenzoTheHarpist
The biggest problem this card has is that it's attack isn't high enough to go head-to-head against Goyo or DAD.
Phantom Roxas
The biggest problem this card has is that it's attack isn't high enough to go head-to-head against Goyo or DAD. Oh noez, it has 100 less attack, what shall I do!?
GenzoTheHarpist
That IS important because this can just be run over by a variety of easy summon monsters. If this guy's effect applied to monster cards and had 100 more attack he would definitely be top-tier.
The Dark One
It's already top tier. What you mean to say is: It would be summoned a lot more often. And Thought Ruler is already the best Lv8 Synchro in the TeleDAD matchup.
Space Ranger Gold
The Pic is awesomenoI actually think this card is better than a Stardust, sure you have to pay life points but you get them back if he destroys a monster. The only bad thing is if you only have like 1000 life points left then it could be a problem

The only bad thing is if you only have like 1000 life points left then it could be a problem[/quote'] No, the bad thing about this card compared to Stardust is that he cannot protect himself from large-scale destruction like Lightning Vortex, nor can he stop monster effects. On the plus side, cards that take down Stardust like Dimensional Prison and CED are useless against this guy.
The Dark One
Unfortunately, however, Thought Ruler has no protection against the likes of Judgmen Dragon, Dark Armed Dragon, Black Rose Dragon, Gyzarus, even a measly Exiled Force.
