PS: This is my first thread, no, first post in the TCG section, go easy!

OK, so seems like a simple card. But I think it is majorly overpowered. What is the highest ATK you can think of in a Monster? Me, maybe... 5000? This effect doubles the ATK of the monster you Tributed. And it only needs one Tribute. So a Dark Magician just turned into 5000 ATK. A BewD just turned into 6000 ATK. This card can have upwards of 4000 ATK if played correctly. The only flaw is that it will have 0 DEF. But that doesn't really matter. And with some equip cards, this card would have about 4000 ATK and be able to attack directly. 2HKO. So, discuss about if this card is OPed or not.

It's banworthy.

...

I hope that's sarcasm. This card is far from banworthy. You're probably still on that whole "ban all otks" spree.

I didn't say I'd ban it. I'm saying that it isn't the hardest thing in the world to argue that it would be better for the game in the long run if it was out of the way.

Does it really matter if it requires a Tribute. Once it is already Tributed, it has double the ATK of what it previously had. For example, some random 4-star has 1800 ATK, and your opponent can't kill it. You sacrifice it and BOOM! You have a 3600 ATK card, with only ONE tribute.

If it had another effect, I might agree with you. However, it doesn't. If I wanted a Level 6 DARK monster that could destroy a lot of monsters I'd use Jinzo.

This card isn't really good at all.

A potential 6000 ATK 6-star Monster is not considered good? Is this YuGiOh or some other game?

It's a Level 6 DARK monster that, at the cost of 1 monster, can end the game with 1 attack. Not saying that that is a consistent way to end the game, but still...

It's nowhere close to be overpowered. That effect is a Tribute effect. Plus, it's prone to Trap Hole cards, Skill Drain and being flipped face-down. You probably just aren't playing against one correctly if that is the case.

A over-powered card in my case is Sand Stone.

Counters do not make a card bad. Treeborn Frog has craploads of counters, but it's a great card (and banworthy, to boot).

Basically like... a 1-Tribute Blue Eyes that has 0 ATK when Summoned otherwise?

At the very least, I would say. It's more realistic to say that it's going to end up being a 1 Tribute Normal Obelisk the Tormentor that has 0 ATK when Summoned otherwise.

What the heck are you talking about?

Sand Stone is far from being overpowered. Lightyears away, in fact.

Think about it this way.

Sacrifice BewD and summon GMG. 6000 ATK.

Equip it with Star Shooting Bow - Ceal [something like that]. 5000 ATK.

2HKO. Done and done.

2TKs are pretty bad. If you can't finish the game in 1 turn with a card like this one, you'll most likely lose the monster the next turn.

Just throw in a Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce.
