Infinitus
There's actually this fake virus destruction thing that pops up every now and then' date=' and it says you have a certain amount of trojans on 4 different files, and the amount of trojans on each file is the same, and so are the files. I can't remember the number of trojans it says, but it will do a fake virus scan, and keep begging you to run this virus eliminator, which is probably a fake. I saw it once, ignored. Saw it again like a week ago, and it was the same amount of trojans n' stuff. So I was liek "Dood, dis stuf iz faek."[/quote'] You have a spyware. Virus scan, NAO. Not quite. Because I was on two different computers on each time. Same amount of trojans on each file, and same website I was on when it happened. Coincidence? I think not. Slash
I just had that happen to me the other day...I was obviously stupid enough to delete my user account, while saving the media files(pics, music, etc.), and then create a new account...=/I could've saved myself a lot of grief <_>
Dark
GOD'S COMING TO GET YOU. HE TOOK YOUR BIKE WHEN YOU WERE 12. BE SCARED. God has gotten more modern from the last time I've seen him. Instead of lightning bolts, he's moved on to computer viruses. Give him a high-five for me. Azerty-of-KoL
This happened to me once. It told me that I had a couple hundred viruses in my system and I freaked out. I turn off my laptop before it finished downloading.
Raelen
Man, happened to me twice. The second time, I wasn't quite as freaked out. After a while on the first time, I couldn't close any windows and I couldn't access force quit.
Womi
It has only happened to me once. So this is a new pandemic' date=' like H1N1, AIDS, and polio?[/quote'] And Coolio!
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Me too, except not from Failblog. I got viruses from somewhere else. Had to reset the system. Fortunately none of my files were trashed.
General Assclown
Happened to me aswel. I just crap myself and closed all my browsers, pulled out the internet cable then I pulled out the power cord, kicked the power point, cried for a while, got back up, re-connected the cords and bingo, nothing happened ^-^. So if it happens to you, try doing that to stop viruses. The crappy thing is that your toes hurts for a while.....

-Griffin
Avast slowed my computer down loads. My computer had Norton when I got it, is that any good? Or is there another option which would work?

I used to use CA, but my subscription ran out. So right now I'm using a mixture of AVG Free Anti-Virus and Zone-Alarm firewall. That combination is probably your best bet if you're not looking to spend any money at all.

That's cause you're a pirate. :-D You could also pirate Kaspersky and CA, but I really wouldn't recommend pirating anti-virus programs. It's smarter just to buy them. J-Max
AVG Free is also a very useful tool to have. I often have AVG & Spybot open at the same time.
bury the year
Webroot with Anti-Virus would be your best bet. It's fast, although it does glitch up occasionally.
