-Lightray Daedalus-
I checked Up 4 months since the last one...so. At first and like many people around in the other thread Worms Seemed to be and awful Archetype, I did thought they were awful.....Well Sadly they mostly are....XDBut when you look closely into the archetype you might find Some Incredible Monsters and effects that are really helpul turning this into a middliy playable archetype... First of all they are LIGHT....That's a good start coz It gives them the advantage of being in a good and Supported Attribute. They are reptile...Which was Unsupported back in the day but with new reptiles arechetypes Coming out...Such as Venoms, Reptiless, Aliens...they got a good amount of Quality Support....But the most important thing for and archetype is not their external Support but What can they do.Wonder what can they do? Let's take a look.Acording to the Wikia:Worms are a series of LIGHT Attribute Reptile-Type mostly composed of Flip Monster Effects that generate Hand Advantage by allowing the user to draw extra cards or add extra cards to their hand, or create Field Advantage by allowing the user to control the positions of cards and permitting cards on either side of the field to stay or not. The non-Flip Effect Monsters allow the user to control the position of monsters on the field and flip your own monsters face-down, or have their effects activated when cards are Set face-down in general. As implied by the card text of Ally Mind, they have some connection to the Allies of Justice. They are likely enemies, as the Allies of Justice have effects related to the destruction of LIGHT monsters and face-down Monster cards (such as Flip Effect monsters).ETC.....Now let's Check Some cards that Would Worth PLaying worms, making a Comparative Example of its effect with others well know monsters..
FLIP: Destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field.Worm Apocalypse is a flip monster with the effect of destroying a Spell or Trap Uopn being Flipped' date=' Normally a effect Like this Would be benefical...but considering the existence of Ryko, which effect is Similar, this card can be teched in a Worm deck In low numbers 1 or 2 Would Give Ryko a good Support in Worm Decks.
FLIP: Add 1 Level 4 or lower "Worm" Reptile-Type monster from your Deck to your hand.Worm Cartaros is the searcher of the Deck' date=' ever since Worm mostly base their strategies on being face down to activate its effects...it is good to have them in hand rather than in the field..that make this a 3 in worms decks...
FLIP: If this card is flipped face-up at the start of the Damage Step' date=' draw 1 card. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, send 1 card in your hand to the Graveyard.[/quote']Worm Hope is the little draw engine of the Archetype its effect allows the Worm user to go throught his deck faster as well as Discarding worms to the grave to fill up for next to use effects.
FLIP: If this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard this turn' date=' Special Summon this card in Defense Position.[/quote']Jeetrikups is a Self regenerative monster which serves as a wall...as much as it helps as tribute fooder by its effect of being Summonable after being destroyed.
This card can be Tribute Summoned with 1 "Worm" monster as Tribute. By Tributing 1 Reptile-Type "Worm" monster' date=' destroy 1 card your opponent controls.[/quote']King is a fairly Important Thread when playing against a Worm Deck, it can be a 1 tribute Beatstick that can also destroy your opponent threads easily, he is hnestable and with 2700 Base ATK that's pretty much a dangerous monsters. Also Being LV 8 makes it great fooder for Trade-In.
FLIP: If this card is flipped face-up when attacked by a monster your opponent controls' date=' inflict damage equal to half that monster's ATK to your opponent.[/quote']Nobles is A possible tech at most but the Possibily of inflicting Huge manounts of Damage while being attacked...since it has 2400 it is mostly necesary to use a 2450+ ATK which will punish your opponent with 1200 + Damage or in any case he will have to waste its destroyng resources on him.
This card can be Tribute Summoned in face-up Attack Position by Tributing 1 Reptile-Type "Worm" monster. Once per turn' date=' by Tributing 1 Reptile-Type "Worm" monster you control, you can Special Summon 1 Reptile-Type "Worm" monster with a Level equal to or lower than the Tributed monster from your Deck.[/quote']Queen is Quite Posible the Best monster in the archetype, this 1 tributer LV 8 Light monster with 2700 ATK has the effect of Providing you with any of the worms just by tributing the ones on the field...A posible Brutal Strategy consist on Attacking with Queen, Switch her for a second and a Thrid Queen and then Go at last for a King to finish the game...
Remove from play 1 Reptile-Type "Worm" monster in your Graveyard. This card can attack twice during the same Battle Phase this turn. This effect can only be used once per turn.Double Attacker provided by the of cards like Honest' date=' can turn into a great Beatstick.
FLIP: Destroy all face-up monsters on the field other than Reptile-Type "Worm" monsters. This card gains 500 ATK for each Reptile-Type "Worm" monster in your Graveyard. This card is a good addition to a Worm Deck given that it provides Both a Unilateral Muking effect and a Massive Beatsticking Capacities...being able to be Abused by cards like Queen and Zero and by Spells Like The Shallow Grave.
When this card is Normal Summoned successfully' date=' you can send 1 "Worm" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. This card cannot be destroyed by battle if you control a face-up "Worm Yagan".[/quote']Worms Arma Knght With Improved Attack and a Self Protecction effect, it can easily seput for Stuff You'll like in the grave or Simply Thin the deck.
If "Worm Xex" is the only monster you control' date=' you can special summon this card from your Graveyard to your side of field in face-down Defense Position. When this card which was Special Summoned by this effect is removed from the field, it is removed from play. When this card is flipped face-up, return 1 face-up monster your opponent control to its owner's hand.[/quote']GK Guard with A Self Summoning Effect...Specially Good As Tribute Fodder And Highly interesting is Use in Some sort of Burn deck combined with IIW and Mass Driver...
2 or more "Worm" Reptile-Type monsters. The ATK of this card becomes the number of different Fusion Material Monsters used x 500. This card gains the following effects based on the number of different Fusion Material Monsters used: ● 2 or more: Once per turn' date=' you can Special Summon 1 Reptile-Type monster from the Graveyard in face-down defense position. ● 4 or more: Remove 1 Reptile-Type monster from your Graveyard to send 1 monster on the field to the Graveyard. ● 6 or more: Once per turn, you can draw 1 card from your Deck.[/quote']The Last and Most Poweful of the Worms is Worm Zero...this card has been disscused before and many Agree of his capacities, He is a Chimeratech esque monster, Only clearly Dissavantage is the Unexistence of a Overload Fusion like card that works with worms. A possible Last Strategy with this is Using Chain Material with Fusion gate to remove King a Queen for Summoning a +6 Worm Zero activate its effects and then Goin With RftDD for game. Finnaly Discuss.
Toffee.
I keep wanting to expirement with Worm Nobel in some weird burn deck, in Wc09. They attack him while hes in face-up attack position, Book of Moon him -> Opponent takes damage. Worms do have alot of potential, but they need like a Worm-Specifc Future Fusion

-Griffin
Worm Lynx:LIGHT/Level 2/ReptileATK/ 300 DEF/ 1000 FLIP: If this card is face-up during the End Phase, draw 1 card. Except Z, this is probably the best card in Worms. Can't see why? Let me explain. It activates EVERY END PHASE.They attack this, flip Waboku.End Phase, you draw 1Your End Phase, you draw againIn Worms, I maindeck 3 Book of Moon, 3 Book of Eclipse 3 WabokuI can normally get up to 6 draws from this guy. He's a game breaker.
OmegaWave
This is the only Duel Terminal Archtype that lacks a synchro monster. Which amazes me. King is pwnage. So is Noble. Zero is okay with Future Fusion.

daboss144
I like the theme, but I believe these guys are going to fall into the fortune-lady trap. They are fun to play but can't quite compete with top-tier decks.
