Ancient Gear Gadjitron Dragon, a ritual card who isn't really one, with perhaps the longest effect printed on a realcard. Geartown, a 'Ritual' Field Spell that i completly awsome! Let's discuss Dragon, and the whole AG archtype, what keeps them from being in a higher tier? (If Golem and beast could be SS I think they would be even more awsome) what do they need?

heck no, Geartowns the onlything keeping AG's from the scrapyards. besides the only tarets Geartown gets are, a lol 100 Ancient Gear, 1300 Soldier, who is ok at best, 1800 Knight who when gemini summoned is good, a 2400 chimera, who is terrible, and shouldn't be an AG, a 1500 Engineer, who when successfully attacks, can destroy a S/T (if e had 1900 ATK he'd be pretty awsome), and Dragon, who has 3 useless gadget effects, and the awsome AG trap screwers. AGGD is screwed by DD crow, you use it for Trade-In, MST geartown, they DD crow your Dragon... or next turn they SS cydra and make Chimeritech Fortress.

And Chimera doesn't even have the decency to have 2400 ATK - you were off by 100.

One of my favorite beatsticks in the game.

Geartown makes this broken, but it isn't as bad as things like infernities and x-sabers.

Ancient Gears are too slow in comparison today to be top tier, they are probably around tier 3, I honestly don't know.

Level 8 for Trade-In and instant Fortress MR if you have it dead.

If you're running it right, it should never be dead, it has Castle, Geartown, Trade-In, any generic revival, and if you want, tribue summon.

 

I know when I started playing gears, they were tier 2, I think, Ultimate Golem pretty much is their ace in the hole, and once summoned, the game's pretty much won, 4400 peircer, with battle trap immunity, and the lovely Power Bond/Limiter Removal t help out. I think they would still be ok had Fortress Dragon not been created, and system down wasn't such a prick.

I made an Ancient Gear-MAchina deck, it's on testing mode right now and so far, It defeated LS, GBs, BWs, Dandy warrior, x sabers, sync cat ..

 

while lost to Frog monarchs and Macro monarchs ..

 

not to mention they can OTK in like 2-3 turns sometimes

 

What I'm saying is, this archtype is actually very good this format
