Pole Position

Wait how does this loop with solidarity?

The worst that could happen is that the highest attack is unaffected by any spell giving it a boost making it not have the highest attack anymore then causing the spell to be active again.

But thats a illegal play anyway.

loops with any attack increasing spell.

say i have a blue eyes out and you have a caius. blue eyes has 3k, caius has 24. i play pole position. blue eyes is now unaffected by spells. then if you play solidarity (With fiends in the grave), axe of despair, united we stand, etc etc, caius will have over 3k attack. thus pole position will switch to make caius unaffected by spells. however, now caius is not affected by solidarity/axe/whatever, and its attack drops back to 24. now pole position switches back to blue eyes. now caius is once again affected by solidarity/axe/whatever, now pole switches back. etc etc etc.

edit: i wrote out that whole example using jinzo, only to realize jinzo would negate pole position. switched to caius.

But that move is against the rules and illegal. So it cant happen even by mistake the duel is rewinded and it is put facedown again.

Unless im reading the rules of looping wrong in which case i am a idiot and shall shut up.

Such a loop inducing card that they don't bother putting it in any of the video games anymore.

Rulings are that you cannot perform an action that would cause the infinite loop to occur. If an unforeseeable action causes an infinite loop (such as attacking a face-down monster with enough attack and a Spell Card induced ATK Boost to create the loop), then Pole Position destroys itself.

A BKSS-ruling should have been made instead of making a troublesome ruling card that induces stupid scenarios, like how did they adress the "Lady in Wight" possible loop.

Lady in Wight makes LV3 or lower zombies unaffected by Spells and Traps. That means that if you have a face-up LV3 or lower monster while Zombie World or DNA Surgery (with zombie as the type chosen) is face-up on the field, it is zombie. Then it is not affected by the card, so it is not zombie anymore. Then, as it nos zombie anymore it will be affected by Spells and Traps again, so by the effect of Zombie World or DNA Surgery it becomes zombie again. Then unaffected. Then affected. Then unaffected, etc.

oh dear. unaffectedness is silly.

yes, you can't willingly make a loop, so silliness abounds when you run it. but does that mean that while running it, you can lock someone from playing solidarity in machina/gadgets? if so, sweet tech...

Just an annoying card. I discovered the loop when someone played it against my Ojama King...

Using it so that your opponent doesn't play cards that could make the loop remainds me a little of Prohibition.

For the Monster Removal effect, I love this card more.
