Maybe if the level restriction was changed to 5 or higher, it would had been used more often w/Spellcaster decks. The Tricky would have been 1 way to bring this card out much easier. Posted August 9, 2010 Report Share Posted August 9, 2010 I know some people who think this card is "good", and that: "I can play Graceful Chairty and Monster Reborn to Special Summon Dark Magician and use Sage's Stone to Special Summon Dark Magician Girl, tribute both of them for this" is an effective combo to summon this card. She's just fanservice xD I think that the Sorcerer of Dark Magic is a good card in it's own right, but it's mediocre in comparison to many other cards. Not impossible to summon, but very difficult, and your opponent will most likely have something to counter it anyways. Eh I just like the card for how it looks, not in terms of usefulness in duels. Sleepy Posted August 10, 2010 Report Share Posted August 10, 2010 I always got annoyed by how when I Summoned this with my old school Dark Magician Deck, it always used to get bounced (for some reason a lot of people around me used "Penguin Soldier" and such at that time...) Still, pretty fun. I'd say for today's time, At the very least it should've been a semi-nomi rather than a nomi. Then it would be a nice improvement if either:-it needed 1 less Tributeor-it gave you back 1 of the Tributes when leaving the field just to be safe...^something along the lines...
