~British Soul~
i know some duelists who play cards just to make them "fizzle" - like this
i fizzle with my RoTA
though i don't know if "fizzle" is slang or not, i just said it because it's not a well-known term in the game
evilfusion
I do tend to explain that effect as a "Flame Wingman Effect" because a bunch of cards have it, Flame Wingman is the best known for it, and pretty much everyone knows what it means. Similarly, the term "Piercing/Trample" is a known terminology. Bounce is to return to hand. Spin is to return from field to deck. Mill is to send top X card to grave. Buttercup
Everyone says Piercing. Trample makes people say "GTFO Magic guy".
-Berserker-
Around here, when a monster is destroyed by a card effect, it "explodes", but I don't hear that term so much...

J-Max
"Sent to the Grave" I always say that when a monster is destroyed. Also "Piercing" A single word to describe DEF crushing damage

TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
Favorite yugimonz slang is "nuke" Enough said. P.S. Einstein will never live it down for what his formula created, incomplete though it is.
Zkaiser
I remember back when we used to say "Fairy Meteor Crush Effect." Obviously, "search" for Sangan's effect, "Ram" when attacking a monster with equal or higher ATK, "bounce" with Grand Mole, "Flood" with Daedalus, Breaker "breaks." Do people say sync or tune? I say sync even though it's probably incorrect.

Which is funny because in the anime, Duke more or less described Fairy Meteor Crush's effect as "what your Mad Sword Beast does". I use "suicide" for the equal or higher. I typically just say "Synchro" when doing a Synchro. Just "Synchro", or occasionally "Sync", but just the term, not a sentence.

Bringerofcake
Personally, it's doing something "into" another card. Draw into Synchro into ROTA into etc
