burnpsy
They seem stupid because we have no idea what's going on when they think, I have an opinion that is based on the info I have. If I had more my view could change. And even if I still thought it to have been a stupid move, I would still have some understanding of it. We could also learn if they end up thinking their move was a stupid one. This is true, and in fact I never thought abut it. Still, it's not like they couldn't give the fans in Japan some reasoning for what's going on via V-Jump and then bring that over here in SJ. I've found magic to be cheaper tbqh with most rare singles I'm looking for costing in the range of $3-$8. Plus the deal they offer (60 card deck + pack) for only $10 is value I've only seen in magic. But this is a very different topic
Both good points there. However, last I heard, it's standard Japanese business practice to keep quiet in terms of communication aside from what's absolutely necessary, so that's probably why they don't do that in Japan. MtG and Pokemon run on rotation. While individual decks are cheaper, you're flat out forced to replace them more often. I play all 3 anyways, but that fact in particular makes me more careful with my spending for MtG and PKMN, knowing that I'm wasting money if I don't make good use of the cards within 2 years.
Yea, I can understand that. Just looking at how Game Freak cracked down on the B/W leaks show it. Yea, rotation is a problem. At least over all Magic singles often max out around $50 while yugioh can go close to $100 on some cards. Still I do understand how it can burn to loss the ability to use cards when your dropped a couple $100 on a play set.
DARKPLANT RISING
I think the game would be different if only the Signer Dragons were generic, and the rest all needed a certain type of tuner or something it would make the Signers more special
No. Definately no. OT: I've always been pained at how JD has 3000 ATK, like all the others say. Goyo is another. Apart from that... possibly how Gyzarus has 2400 ATK instead of 2300? I wonder if Synchros were just made into contact fusions that has specific requirements (like GB's) how the game would change. It'd probably be alot more boring o___o. Sleepy
This is a very appealing topic xD That idea of "FUSION" versions would be more balanced. Then again, I like it with different colors so, non-generic Synchros sounds to me like a better idea. Now they need some Type of Fusion Spell/Trap Cards or Spell Monsters (maybe reserved for a 4th Yugioh anime) The "Synchro" idea is more or less a variant of the "Contact Fusion" idea. better than telling people why they did what they did each time, telling people about their cards (sort of like when they get announced some time prior to release) and getting some feedback and opinions before its too late would be a big improvement. The card creators would read through that and try to improve/nerf the card and re-post it a couple times or even different versions of a card at a time. Some benefit might come out of it. The game has a ton of bad cards and maybe about 10 decks worth of good cards. Then again, maybe that way it would ruin surprices. Also, card creators would be prey of a ton of troll and spam mixed in.
Dr. Cakey
Don't forget the GOD NUMBER: 4000. Extra-specially 4000/4000. Oh, and to briefly address Unicore vs. Goyo. Speaking broadly, a Level 4 Synchro Monster is harder to summon than a Level 6. For The Fabled it's not so hard since they're mostly Level 1-3, but in general it is. evilfusion
Well, there are 2300 4 stars (Goblin Attack Force) but they usually have a crippling downside. Unicore isn't generic, so that's its downside? There is a 6 star with 2800 ATK (Infernal Incinerator). ...a very crippling downside, indeed. But Goyo is much stronger than that... that THING @_@
evilfusion
Which indicates that Goyo is too powerful. It is a cinch to summon, unlike "That Thing", and has a good effect with no weird crippling effect to make it less useful. Unless you're compelled to point out the DEF position thing. Oh so crippling that is.
Blake
If someone said DEF crippled Goyo, then that's like saying Summoned Skull and Cyber-tech Alligator were not broken during their day.
Coffee Black
In terms of level 6's, Monarchs definitely made 2400 ATK the standard. I can't think of too many level 6's that are relevant besides monarchs, level 6 synchros, and things like Chaos Sorcerer. If there were just better level 6 tribute monsters, I don't think the 2400 ATK would be as important.
RAEGING D0GKING
Can we also discuss level changes?
Would of been an excellent card at level 4 (Anti-Meta). But then its ATK would of been decreased but still it would of been powerful.
