Revival Jam

Totally not implying that Revival JaAm is a blue version of Giygas.
When this card is sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, you can Special Summon this card in face-up Defense Position at your next Standby Phase by paying 1000 Life Points. I always liked this card.
Even though its a little slow, it still seems pretty hilarious.
Oh, and this is Hotshot's favorite card.

Its anime effect was hilarious. It also created the first infinate loop in the anime.

"When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon it. By discarding "Polymerization" and tributing this card, you can select 1 monster on your side of the field and give it the following effects:
-When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon it."

In real life it's not as good, but it was still a bit playable when released.
...A bit.

Also, using this card and talking in a way simular to the dummy can make your friend laugh.

i remember that loop yugi used brain control Just before it revived itself

It would be so [s]Bannable[/s] awesome if Brain Control was a quick play

What I think killed the card the most was that it got Special Summoned during the Standby Phase. The cost could be worked with (it'd still be horrible), but the Standby Phase part really made the card useless, and Jam Defender becomes stupid when you consider the delay before you get to revive it.

Granted, this WAS from LON.

It was actually somewhat good back when LON was the most recent pack.
Oh, and This card looks awesome as a Super.

As far as I remember, it was still trash back then and Legendary Fisherman decks were big when LON came out because of A Legendary Ocean.

Revival Jam is a perfect example of a card being too limited from it's anime counterpart to have any use, shame really as I always liked the concept of it.

I always thought it looked like semen. Besides, Giygas was a metaphor for the womb and stuff anyway.

OT: It's a slow self-reviver, and Treeborn outclasses it because it can be tributed. Anime effect was awesome though - it summoned itself immediately when it was destroyed in ANY WAY, it negated all card effect burn and it summoned itself straight back rather than during the Standby Phase. They killed it too much for the TCG.

Jam Defender could have actually of had a use than too. It's probably better it was nerfed though. I could see Jam in the old times of Yugimonz getting banned because back then, removal wasn't so easy; Now however, I wish we had it ):

Revival Jam Monarchs :P
You would be paying 1000 Life Points for a tribute monster that wouldn't come back. The only way this would be a viable method was if you ran a Monarch deck that also used a lot of traps or continuous cards.
