Toffee.
Totally not implying that Revival JaAm is a blue version of Giygas.
When this card is sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, you can Special Summon this card in face-up Defense Position at your next Standby Phase by paying 1000 Life Points. This must be declared when the monster is destroyed. You cannot change its position during the same turn it is Special Summoned in this way.
I always liked this card. Even though its a little slow, it still seems pretty hilarious. Oh, and this is Hotshot's favorite card.
~British Soul~
i think they added the cost because of it's effect in the anime (being able to instantly revive itself)
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
There are plenty of things that could have been done which would have made this card much better. Decreasing the cost, not forcing it into defense, being destroyed in any method, not having to declare it immediately... But with all of these limiting things, it makes it a bad card. DARKPLANT RISING
Its anime effect was hilarious. It also created the first infinate loop in the anime. "When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon it. By discarding "Polymerization" and tributing this card, you can select 1 monster on your side of the field and give it the following effects: -When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, Special Summon it." In real life it's not as good, but it was still a bit playable when released. ...A bit. Also, using this card and talking in a way simular to the dummy can make your friend laugh. evilfusion
What I think killed the card the most was that it got Special Summoned during the Standby Phase. The cost could be worked with (it'd still be horrible), but the Standby Phase part really made the card useless, and Jam Defender becomes stupid when you consider the delay before you get to revive it. Granted, this WAS from LON.

evilfusion
Yeah, it was back in the day where 1500 was somewhat standard, albeit 1800+ were good. And Tribute monsters like Summoned Skull were evil.

Revival Jam is a perfect example of a card being too limited from it's anime counterpart to have any use, shame really as I always liked the concept of it. Mehmani
I always thought it looked like semen. Besides, Giygas was a metaphor for the womb and stuff anyway. OT: It's a slow self-reviver, and Treeborn outclasses it because it can be tributed. Anime effect was awesome though - it summoned itself immediately when it was destroyed in ANY WAY, it negated all card effect burn and it summoned itself straight back rather than during the Standby Phase. They killed it too much for the TCG.

I could see Jam in the old times of Yugimonz getting banned because back then, removal wasn't so easy; Now however, I wish we had it ):
