Lucas matched Ran's Pace with a childs ease. He smirked and laughed a little as he almost slipped off the roof-top. His sharp teeth became more noticable as he laughed. His hood fallen back to reveal his brown hair and stange earing. He leaped into the air and got inhead of Ran. "So, What are we doing at your office again?" He asked, in a 'Are we there yet', tone. Still moving fast and then slowing down. He wanted to burst his energy around like no-ones business. But here it would be someones business, so he kept to an average pace. Lucas ignored all outside activity, he needed to stay focused.

(I just got my laptop back... I should be responding more fluently for now on... sorry guys)

Tazu stepped onto the cold white sand of Las Noches as the rip in the air dissapeared behind him. His entire body was aching. "I stayed released too long to just be standing there the whole time..."he thought to himself,"What a waste of energy." He was standing in front of a very large tree that looked to be made out of solid bone. The bone had whithered and cracked from being there for so long. The tree was so tall it was hard to see the top of it and the base of it was at least as wide as a city block. Far up the trunk of the behemoth sized tree, there was a small hole roughly 8 meters in diameter.

Tazu walked slowly towards the tree while staring aimlessly at the sand as he walked across it. He was lost in thought. "What was happening to that shinigami? Why did he have a hollow mask? Who was that mysterious stranger who interfered?" the questions kept piling up in his mind. Then in a flash he was gone and he reapeared far up the tree at the edge of the opening. Peering into the large opening it could be seen that there was a long winding passage way that led further into the tree. Tazu walked slowly deeper into the tree following the passage way, keeping the same blank stare at the ground as he walked, still pondering the days events. "What a mysterious place the world of the living turned out to be, and how very interesting..." As he decended a long staircase he came to a large hall full of doors with another staircase at the end, barely seeable in the darkness the whole place seemed to be enveloped in.

Tazu walked up to the third door from the entrance and opened it. He stepped into the room and closed the door behind him. There was a bed and a small table in the room. Tazu set his zanpakutou on the table and pulled his shirt off. He walked over to the bed and collapsed into it falling asleep almost instantly.

Ran smiled slightly as he beared with Lucas' questions, generally limiting himself to monosyllabic responses like 'tea' and 'soon.' It didn't take much time to reach his head office, the whole encounter didn't occur too far from his offices. In retrospect, that was a bit disconcerting, maybe he should arrange for a barrier around his squads areas, for security purposes. He took his... exuberant guest through the main department, he didn't believe in having his office away from his workers. They should be used to seeing him around them. To their credit, they didn't look up when he walked through, focusing on their assignment. Though they were several covert glances. Ikeda opened his door for him with her usual shyness.

"Did you get the cakes?" he asked. She nodded. He smiled and dismissed her, waving Lucas inside. "Go right in. help yourself to the sweets."

"Captain Kage." a squad member stated as he knelt down behind the Captain's quarters "Yes?" Yami asked "Your brother, Akarui Kage, has been defeated in the world of the living." "I see." Yami replied as he walked out past the member "Thank you, I will be going now." Yami replied as he walked in the direction of the Senkaimon. "(If he only applied for Gentai Kaihjo.... well, his pride is too high for that.)" Yami thought as he saw some Squad 4 members awaiting to enter the Senkaimon "(How badly was he hurt anyhow?)" Yami asked himself as he awaited behind them, unnoticed.

Lucas grinned at Ikeda on their way up to the door. He was even more focused in her direction when he noticed she seemed shy. He wanted to ask her name, he was going to over a handshake. But, since this meeting would be strictly business, he walked right into the room, he checked to be sure that he pulled his hood up before they entered the building. He stood near the cake and looked at it awkwardly. "I havn't seen something like this in a looooong time!" He sat his arms on open spaces around the cake and leaned in to look at it in a more easy view. He narrowed his eyes at it and had the sensational need to bark and prance around. He shook his head to keep his mind on business.

"Um," Ikeda said from the doorway in her soft tone. Lucas' attention had peaked her nervousness. "Captain Shirakami said yes." She flushed and lowered her head. "Set for evening period." She shifted uncomfortably. Ran smiled at her comfortingly with a trace of amusement. He waited a moment then nodded and waved to dismiss her. She dipped her head in a quick bow and vanished to her own office, just outside his own.

"Don't mind her," he said to Lucas as he pour two cups of tea. He set one before his guest and took a sip of his own before taking a piece of cake and seating himself across from Lucas. "She may be quiet and shy, but she is good at her job. Very good." He sampled the pastry, watching Lucas carefully. "We have a few minutes before Captain Shirakami will see us. Have some cake and relax."

Lucas watched the cake in a focused glare. He looked up when he realised that he was being talked to and briefly declined the cake. He picked up the tea and sipped from it. Holding it in both hands. "So..." Lucas said in an awkward start of a 'talk'. "About that Ikeda girl...." He started low enough to be unheard from the room. "She seems to be quite the busy bee... What does she do out of work?" He asked. His face getting brighter slightly, but in a slight blue-ish tint rather than the usual red or pink shade someone may show when they feel the same way he does.

(Witch of us is controling the captain?....)

Ran's cup paused in inch from his mouth, his eyebrow raised. He hid him smile behind his cup before he gave it way. So Lucas was interested in Ikeda? His little Aiko? And what was with that strange blush? Blue? He was torn between being amused and being indignant. He choose amused. "Well, Ikeda is a quiet girl. Outside of work, she often does more work. Aside from that, she likes to read novels, romance, mystery and thrillers. She enjoys making sweets and often brings me her latest attempts to taste. Oh, we often have tea ceremonies if our work load is light enough." He ate his last bit of cake and washed it down with his tea, giving Lucas time to mull over that one.

A bell clanked four times in the distance. The evening session was open, which meant that Captain Shirakami would be sending the escorts for them soon. And just when he was having fun with Lucas too. Since none of the first squad officers showed up yet, he assumed they had a few minutes to spare. "You might want to hurry with your tea and cakes before were are summoned. Can't let Ikeda's hard work go to waste, can we?"

((since you know the plot, you can, Ran will be there to report his findings and such. And you can bring in the escorts when your ready))

Lucas's face grew slightly back to its strange light color and the blue became a background color again, difficult to see if your not looking for it. "o-oh" He said, fumbling to drink his tea quickly and wondering if he had enough time to gobble down a whole piece of cake quickly. He shook his head and sat his tea down. "A quite girl, eh? I suppose she wouldn't be interested in a new guy like me... she's probably liked someone more close to home for much longer... reading romance might mean she has a need to full the feeling of relationship without the touch of another... so either the person she likes is shy themselves, or the person she likes doesn't know... why am I over analyzing this?" Lucas thudded himself on the head. He closed his eyes and concentrated his unique energy flow to move much slower, giving him a larger window of perception. He heard the steps of the men coming to give the summons to him and Ran from a nice distance away. His hair fell back to its normal position. "We have plenty of time." Lucas said with a smile. He got quite for a second. "Ran... do you think its weird for me to be bothered about feelings in a time of crisis like this?"

Ran sighed and placed his cup on the table. Lucas was proving an interesting companion. First blue blushes know standing hair? Peculiar, peculiar indeed. In any case, he was asked a question. "Or, she could just be one of the many females that enjoy reading about women falling for idealized, handsome men," he offered as a counter to Lucas' opinion. "As for your feelings," yes, yes it was, "some people deal with crisis differently, start to notice things they would have ignored otherwise. As for what you think, I'm not the best judge of that. Besides, I still don't know what crisis this is yet." Aside from competition. Ran poured himself another portion of tea. Tea was calming. Yes. "As for why your over analyzing it; I have not idea."

As it was ready, Yami entered the Senkaimon with the Squad 4 members. The members had finally noticed him and allowed him to go in first. They arrived above Akarui, he was in worse shape then he looked when they examined him. It left all four of his limbs useless for weeks, as they treated the wounds, they began to take him back to the Soul Society. As they left, Akarui apologized "You must be disappointed in me, brother." Akarui stated "I should have applied for Gentei Kaihjo." Akarui continued, there were a few whispers within the Squad 4 members "Never mind that. It's a good thing you survived, Lieutenant Kage." Yami stated, the Squad 4 members gasped, no one had known who Yami's captain was.... until now.

Lucas smiled. For a second there, he was going to open up and explain how he was so different from the shinigami that he'd be a whole new species. But, he caught himself. "Thanks Ran, I'm glad I was found by you and not some kind off self-satisfying jerk." Lucas stood, his hearing perception was fading slowly back to normal levels. The men coming for them walked just fast enough to remain within his sensory. He looked over at the door as it opened and they stood in the doorway. "You've been summoned by Captain Shirakami. We suggest you get a move on..." The man at the front said. Lucas turned and walked for the door. He secretly hoped to find Ikeda outside the door, even though she'd probably be working.

(Can you Drag Ran and Lucas too the guy? I don't have any idea on what the currant Soul society should look like or character design for Shirakami should be. I didn't plan this part of the phase... I just assumed someone would achieve some kind of head position... Oh well. When we get there, I can take the reigns and start the convo between Shirakami and Lucas, but it'd be best if Ran was still there, you know?)

They traveled in silence to the meeting room; Ran and Lucas astride, flanked by two escorts and two behind them. Immediately behind the two men and before the rear guards, Ikeda followed. To Lucas' pleasure, and Ran's mixed feelings, Ikeda came with them. He considered having her stay behind, especially with Lucas' interest in her, but she had to up-to-date report on the incident that he needed presented to Captain Shirakami. The they took was mostly outdoors along the many bridges and walkways that wrapped around and connected the buildings, giving them a good few of just how high they were. About six stores up one of the towers, on the side of the cliff at that. If they fell, it would be a long way down. Not that that would happen. It was just a thought. A sobering one. They took them inside on of the towers and stopped at a large door. When Ran and company stopped too, the lead jerked a head at the door.

Smiling, Ran entered, Lucas and Ikeda close behind. Captain Shirakami was not an overly intimidating man, but he was a stately one. He had a full head of silver hair and a modest mustache topping his lip. Neither large nor small, he was average sized, and did not show is age. He sword, and Odachi in it's sheath, rested comfortably at his side. The Four Noble Truths of Buddhism were engraved on it's hilt. He sat in the formal seiza and gestured for them to do the same. Bowed and sat. As did Ideka. "Captain Shirakami, I'm sure you noticed the incident earlier today. This is Lucas. He has requested a meeting with you in order ot share some knowledge about it and why it occurred."

Lucas raised a hand real quick. He shot looks across the room in all directions, wondering why everyone was giving him weird looks. He then slowly lowered his hand and propped his hood back up as the blue skin pigment slowly came to his face again. His skin was hidden. "Who I am, and where I am from are matters for another day. What I am here for, or rather, what they are here for, is something too be worried about. I have come to warn you of an attack. These demon like creatures want to steal Soul society and take this realm for their own. My sources told me that this attack was today, and as I see it now, this was only a test. The real first wave will be at your doorstep in a week." Lucas paused, he was standing, when he stood, he couldn't remember.

The captain nodded. "So this attack... I suppose would be an actual threat this time?" Lucas sat back down, and nodded. The area around him grew slightly lighter as he grew embaressed about raising his hand like that infront of Ikeda.

Tazu awoke from his short rest. It was all he needed. He sat there on his bed for a minute thinking about what had happened in the world of the living. He felt a strange urge to go back. Tazu stood up and walked over to his table, grabbing his shirt and putting it back on then slinging his zanpakuto back onto his back. He walked out the door to his room and entered the hall of doors again. He glanced over at the second staircase at the far end of the hall,"Soon maybe..." he thought to himself as he turned around and walked up the first staircase back to the exit of the massive tree. As he reached the exit he stood near the edge of the giant opening in the trunk of the tree and looked out at Los Noches. The view from this high up was incredible, but a view of what? A vast empty depressing desert was all Tazu could see. His expression changed from an empty uncaring one, to one of disgust,"I'm tired of this world, I'm going to explore the world of the living more," he said outloud to himself and a small grin found its way to his face.

He took a step out of the opening and allowed himself to begin falling out of the tree. As he plummeted head first towards the sand a rediculously far distance down, he turned his head to face the ground below and a large tear opened up in the air just above the sand and he fell into it.

Almost immediately as the tear appeared in the world of the living, Tazu came flying out of it face first at an immense speed (this time he was flying forward rather then downward) and he caught himself a few short moments later, skidding across the sky for a few seconds. As he floated there as if standing on air he looked all around him, he was back in the city from before only a few blocks away. "Let's see what I can find this time"

"This attack was not necessarily harmless either," Ran added as soon at Shirakami made his comment. His mind was still running over the consequences of Lucas' deceptively simple statement. A group, no, race that wanted soul society? It wasn't the hollows. No, that creature was something all together different. That meant that these were people soul society had no idea existed. Where? How? So many questions. "While I was able to easily repel the creature and would have capture it if not for it's suicide, it did cause a large amount of damage to both my personnel and to property." He nodded at Ikeda.

"Four warehouses destroyed in the fight between the creature and Captain Setsuna, five others damaged from the attacks used and subsequent explosion, and several other minor reports of damages have been coming in from the surrounding areas," she reported quietly. The only time she could articulate herself so clearly was in small meeting and to Captain Shirakami. Always made him jealous. "Two unseated officers are in the care of the 4th division and are reported to be stable."

"We are still unclear on the nature of the abilities this creature displayed and the 12th division haven't produced any concrete findings yet," Ran said, taking over from Ikeda. "I still don't understand the reitsu it used. it was completely different from both hollows and shinigami."

Akarui was now in a hospital bed at the Squad 4 barracks, he couldn't keep it in anymore, "Brother?" "Yes, Akarui?" Yami responded "I...I have a Hollow Mask." Akarui admitted. Yami gasped at this, then he calmed down. "I'm sorry brother, but you are no longer a Soul Reaper in that case, you are a different species now." Yami explained "W-what?" Akarui asked "You are what's known as a Visored." Yami continued "They are a group of Soul Reapers who have obtained Hollow Masks." Yami finished "I.... see." Akarui stated as he closed his eyes and fell asleep "(I'm sorry, Akarui, but Visoreds.... are recognized as traitors to the Soul Society for acquiring Hollow Powers, accidental or not.)" Yami thought "(But, should I consult the Head Captain about this?)" he finished thinking as he left.

Meanwhile, in Akarui's Inner World

Akarui was seemingly standing on the World of the Living's moon, but it being surrounded by many other crescent moons "Heheheh." Akarui's-but-not-Akarui's voice stated from a distance, it was a Soul Reaper with white skin, yellow irises, black sclera, black teeth, and his kimono was reverse color then Akarui's, he had white version of Akarui's hair as well. "Welcome back, partner." he stated "And you ar- Wait, where's Kuresentomūnburēdo?!" Akarui demanded "In our hands."the unnamed Soul Reaper stated as the Shikai form of Kuresentomūnburēdo appeared in both of their hands, only the unnamed Soul Reaper's version was reversed colored "H-how?" Akarui asked "It's simple," the unnamed Soul Reaper started "I AM KURESENTOMūNDURēDO!" he declared as he lunged at Akarui "I-impossible!" Akarui responded as he parried.

The Captain simply looked at Ikeda and then nodded in Ran's direction when he was finished. "I knew of the damage, please excuse my indecency..." He said, his words slow and easilly recognisable.

Lucas got up and walked too the doors. He looked behind himself at Ran. "I asked for a place to stay, is it ready yet?" Lucas asked, he was getting a fevor from relaxing so much in this new realm. His face was light blue, his hood up to cover most of it. His pendent around his neck was lighting up, unique energy pulsated from Lucas' core. The area around him became much lighter.

What was that? Even with Kōruekō sealed, he was still sensitive to reitsus, and Lucas' had been bothering him him since he first made contact. It was just as foreign to him and Kōruekō as the red creature's own was. But they did seem similar to each other. He resisted the urge to grit his teeth. He disliked not knowing. But that would change soon, hopefully. "It is," Ran said in reply. "I had a small apartment prepared within my estate." And he had some of the 12 division's passive observers placed in the main room. He didn't stoop as low as to bug the bedroom, but he at least wanted more information on Lucas' reitsu and Lucas himself.

Ikeda dipped her head at the pair and vanished, using shunpo to race back to her office. She still had work to do and reports from the scene were still coming in. Ran smiled as she left and lead the way to his abode, and Lucas' new home. "Tell me Lucas, just what are you? You have so many strange things about you. Who are you really?"

Hachiro walked happily down the hall in the squad 4 barracks. He had a calm relaxed attitude about him. "This is the first time I've been given such a small order in almost 3 months," he said outloud to himself as he walked. Hachiro had been ordered by the squad 4 captain to check on a pacient with severe wounds. Recently the only orders Hachiro had been recieving were to heal shinigami on the battlefield. "To get such a small order once ina while feels great" he thought to himself as he let out a small laugh. He wore a big smile across his face the whole way through the hall.

Hachiro came to the door of the pacient's room and stepped inside without a second thought and said instantly,"How are you today Kage, Akarui?" before he had even finished walking through the doorway completely.

Akarui's Inner World

Akarui lunged at his Inner Hollow "Where is he?! Who are you?!" he demanded, his Inner Hollow easily parried and ran Akarui through, Akarui coughed up blood "Heheheh, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I am both Kuresentomūnburēdo AND your Inner Hollow. We both make up your soul. We were once one, then when you got your mask, I was born. And now I'M in charge!" Akarui's Inner Hollow explained, "No...." Akarui stated "Akarui, you're too weak, I can't allow you to be the king of this body! You're not worthy of that blade!" Akarui's Inner Hollow declared as he grasped Akarui's version of Kuresentomūnburēdo, it reversed in color, and disintegrated, it flew into the air and began to disappear "Kuresentomūnburēdo..." Akarui stated, blood running out of his mouth "(I can't win.... what will happen to my body with... with that monster in control?!)" Akarui thought as he lost the will to fight.

Reality

Akarui's eyes suddenly shot open, but his sclera were black and his irises were yellow. He sat up and looked at Hachiro with murderous intent. His wounds spilled out a white liquid which regenerated them, but was left with a bone-like material, such as a Hollow's Mask. The left side of his Hollow Mask appeared and could now open with his jaw. He reached for the Zanpakuto at his side and lunged at Hachiro with it. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Hachiro's smile was cut short as he saw Akarui sit up and hollow bone starting to cover his body including pieces of a mask. "Whoa!! Wait wha-" Hachiro was cut short as the monster leapt from its bed and slashed a deep gash straight across Hachiro's chest. Blood spurted out all over the monster's face giving Hachiro a split second to flash step out of the room and down the hall where he collapsed Upon reappearing. "Gagh!" Hachiro coughed up blood and lifted himself to his feet. "Wha- what the hell? Was that a hollow? No...I've read about this, he must be a visored!" Hachiro came to the conclusion because he knew the man in that room was reported to have been in regular condition earlier, meaning he couldn't have been the way he is now back then. "If a hollow mask suddenly starts appearing on a shinigami it is the first sign of a visored" he remembered.

Hachiro thought quickly and drew his zanpakuto. "Merge! Shinzo!" he yelled as the creature burst through the wall not too far down the hall and turned its head to Hachiro. Hachiro plunged his blade into his own chest and the zanpakuto started to glow a bright red before being absorbed into his body. The slash across his chest the hollow had made healed itself and Hachiro braced himself to face the beast again.

As Ikeda left, Lucas relaxed a little. His Unique energy molded down in a slow but noticable amount. His skin was still blue, but a much lighter shade. "Well... you see..." Lucas started. "As far as I know, my name is Lucas. And the only species that is close too mine would be my brother. But you might see that we still have many great differences. My powers come from a process of the unknown. I was once human." He said, stopping only to run a hand through his hair. "When I was human, I was normal. I would run around and..." He shook his head and continued to follow Ran.

As Akarui burst through the wall, his mask now covered his whole face and a hole had appeared in the middle of his chest, white liquid started to slowly flow out of it and start to cover his body, he lunged at Hachiro once again, he opened his mouth and started to Charge a Cero as he lunged and slashed at Hachiro many times.

Akarui's Inner World

"Heheheheheh, starting to give up huh?" Akarui's Inner Hollow asked as he pulled his blade from Akarui's gut as Akarui collapsed. "N-no." Akarui responded as he barely got back up "(No, I can't lose. I have to win, to save the 13 Court Guard Squads, my brother, the Sereitei, the entire Soul Society.)" Akarui thought as he was ran through once more, he coughed up blood "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Give up Akarui! It's no use! As we speak your body is turning into a Hollow under MY command! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" the Inner Hollow laughed
