.Kowalski faced me in 1 Duel with Fish (no time for a Match). He suggested finding room in the main for the MSTs, to stop Armory Arm/Ravine/Traps when I don't have Decree/Book, etc.

The first one....the "good" (those who know of OCG) players don't mind proxies.

Although my locals is full of Decree. -.-

Faced Bowtie's Glads. Lost 2-1. Need something to handle stuff like D-Fissure. They screw me over.

Makes sense. I was hoping for something that wouldn't clash with Decree though. Something like Tornado/Double Cyclone/Twister.

I also need to bump the Scarecrows back up to 3, to better block OTKs (drawing into them at 2 is hard, especially with Shi En blocking my Dupes and stuff that I use to deck-thin).

OK then, Double Cyclone it is. I can also use them on extra Decrees I draw.

My testing today has convinced me that running Scarecrow/Fader, MST, Rai-Ohs, Morphing Jar and a second Fortress in the main has to happen, or I lose out on raw ATK and get overpowered for game. Do you see any space, or will I have to test the deck at 50 cards again?

Main 1 MST, only use 1 Fader (if any), take out a King or 2... Don't need to run max of all the cards for them to be useful to the deck. You could possibly even run Trag over Fader, since he has raw power and can manipulate his level for Synchros, as well as snatch monsters.

Other than that, I don't know enough about Morphs to suggest removing any. It's hard to pick cards that are possible to be removed.

Trust me, knowing Morphs wouldn't help in the slightest. :/

In any case, why just the 1 MST? I suppose I don't have the slots to main 2 MST, but that means that the extra copy now has to be pushed into the Side Deck. I won't draw the MSTs in game 1 if I just run 1, so I may as well side both again until I find room for both.

In any case, I know from testing that the ideal number for Fader/Scarecrow is 3, since I draw them almost every game. However, cutting them to 2 doesn't hurt much, I just have to settle for a reasonable about of drawing them instead of always having them there. Having it at 1 won't solve much, as I literally have a time when I wish it was in my hand every duel. Clearing my field out seems to be so easy it's sad.

Using similar logic with Rai-Oh, it's best to have him [i]before[/i] my opponent sets up, right? So I should run 2 as the minimum.

I can't really use Trag for the same reason as Brio. He be good in most decks, but this one has hands that are consistently small to the point that I could probably run random Infernities in here and expect them to work. 3 cards is the most common amount, which is one of the reasons why I'm testing Morphing Jar in here. On top of that, my levels aren't exactly optimal for use of Trag's effect. I have a bunch of LV1s and 3s, a handful of LV4s, a pair of LV7s, and MCED. Most monsters I'd want to snatch don't have those levels. The only time Trag would be particularly stellar is when Fortress is in the grave when I have Lighton, since that means I get a LV8 Synchro. That said, I'll give it the same fair test I gave to Brionac.

I can probably make do with 1 Lighton. I only use 2 because it's a bit more convenient.

In short, these changes were made:

Starting Deck Count: [color="#FF0000"]50[/color]/15/15

-1 Rai-Oh
-1 Lighton

Both MST to Side Deck

Testing Trag over 1 Fader

It's good. Really good.

Testing that just reminded me why I ran 2 Lighton. 2 Lighton >>>> 1 Lighton, since it's a pain to pull it out without using One for One with just 1, and I can use it to easily pull out Formula and such, as well as use for Remoten's search effect, and as an emergency 3rd Dupe target. Need to squeeze it in somewhere...

Editing OP with that build. I'll start testing against top decks again after I find out if I can squeeze the second Lighton back in.

EDIT: It sides 4 Swift Scarecrows. O.o
EDIT2: No space for the second Lighton. That was expected.

I did.

Smashing Ground to kill Vanity's Fiend/Archlord Kristya. They stop me nearly completely unhindered otherwise.

In any case, I tested it. Consistency has gone up. A lot. I faced L6S, and only lost the match due to my own misplays due to my inexperience in handling Shi En (using Limiter on Fortress when it would have been smarter not to, etc).

So this is good. Now I'm back to testing against major dectypes again.

Most of my losses seem to be from misplays now.

So now I should focus on getting more than 3-5 hours of sleep per day on weekdays (I sleep ~12 hours on weekends). Also, I need to practice more with this build.

The main feels very complete. I do less explosive plays, but it has more stability, which is good.

So it's mainly the Side Deck that I need to test now, as well as practicing more with the deck. It's astonishing how much feels different when running this deck with just a few adjustments.

Well I only got one match in with the current build, but here's what happened.

Game 1: I get Celfon and Dupe to open, but never reveal a Tuner or Boomboxen. Opponent swarms with his BWs. I get a lucky break from a topdeck'd 2nd junk box and go into a Black Rose nuke.... Couldn't get any advantage after that. D:

Game 2: Fortress equip with Gearframe and Wyvern by turn 2 really set the pace...Decree first turn also saved the day. BWs had no chance after getting Armory Arm out as well. =3

Game 3: I get a lucky Black Rose nuke to clear the field (along with Map) to get Celfon back, after some weird shenanigans I pull out SSD = GAEM


NOTES: I never drew Accelerator when I needed it. Decree cock blocks Icarus like a boss. Sangan sucks against Bora. Morphing jar helped him out more than me. =/


Will go back again on Sunday.

Those results sound about right.

Except, in my testing, Jar's effect is essentially just "FLIP: Draw 5.", since my hands are empty a lot for some reason.

Thanks for testing that on my behalf. I never ended up running into BWs.
