If there were a new rule that the extra deck can contain 15 SYNCHRO monsters - and unlimited fusion and exceed then Shining Flare becomes very viable. He's competing for some serious precious extra deck space as it is. Also you are going to have to run sparkman to get him out with KoTs which is fine. But Sparkman and Clayman can get you either an E Hero Shining or E Hero Gaia now without any help from KoTs. Add to that fact most hero decks also include synchros and Shining Flare just never sees serious extra deck time. Here is my extra deck: 3 Zero 3 Shining 2 Gaia 1 Draco Equiste 1 Terra Firma (to send ocean) 1 Stardust 1 Catastor 1 Brionac 1 BRD 1 Colossal And now with Shining you can send the other copies of Zero or The Shining you removed w/ miracle fusion back to the extra deck to be used again. You could always Summon Cyber Dragon, then Light Hex -> Special Summon Cyber Twin Miracle Fusion for Shining Flare using Light Hex + Sparkman Your field has a 2800ATK double-attacker and a 2500ATK beatstick that does damage equal to the destroyed monster's ATK. Situational opening hand, I know, but its very easy to pull off due to all of said cards being@3. Sure you lose 1 spot in your Extra Deck if you main Shining Flare, but Shining Flare is an amazing finisher. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I really truthfully thought konami would increase the extra deck size. (last year) and they have not. They're even stuffing exceeds in there and they still haven't raised it. Mashing them all up just results in a clusterfuk Extra deck, with the deck's owner trying to find more and more room. Hell, I would just be happy if the Extra Deck size was increased by 2.
