Because Heroes need more power...
Neos was Jaiden's Dark Magician... it had to be worthless by itself yet with awesome support
(Though Stardust and Utopia ruin have changed the chain)


Either way, I'm not a Saber Player, but this card is pretty "flipping" awesome and I know its important to the Deck

What makes X-Sabers able to play Faultroll is Dark Soul and Emmersblade searching what ever the f*** you want. You will always have a Boggart Knight and something else in hand to summon literally all the time, and can usually be replaced if it fails.

Six Sams can't play Shien as easily because their searching options aren't as recyclable (however, Gateway @ 3 could have been considerable in this area). infact, they only have 5 searchers right now, those of which being spells, so you can't recycle the ability to have 2 Six Sams out, and Shien isn't searchable within those methods.

Also Faultroll produces auto +1s, so its worth summoning him.

So, in this fail logic I'm having, all archetypes should have cards like Faultroll, to keep up.

I could keep going :P all archetypes should have cards [s]like Faultroll[/s] that produce card advantage, to keep up.

Elemental Hero Neos:
You can Special Summon this card if you control 2 or more "Crystallis", "Neo Spacian", or "HERO" monsters. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "Neo Spacian" monster from your Deck or Graveyard and double its ATK. When this card is returned to the Deck for a Fusion Summon, draw 1 card for each other Fusion Material Monster used.

I really wish for that xD

But Backwards-Murder has its own Monster Reborn
Neos being an effect monster means it loses Ancient Rules and Oversoul(not that anyone would run them)
And Spacians have really weak ATK to begin with, so at most your just Summoning more Panthers with 2000 ATK.

I dunno, I'm not Konami, I just have weird opinions on whats balanced or not.
Though Sleepy could just make it a Nomi like Faultrol and call it a day.

Faultroll promotes overextension.

Now for my Obligatory Jurrac post that is related to the current topic:

Jurrac Acrocanthus
Level 8
FIRE
Dinosaur/Effect
ATK/2700 DEF/1500

You can Special Summon this card from your hand while you control 2 or more "Jurrac" monsters. When this card is Summoned, destroy cards on the field equal to the number of all other "Jurrac" monsters you control. This card's effect cannot be chained to.

Faultroll wasn't as much a problem until you look at the group of Saber-based TCG exclusives, most notably Darksoul and it's BS ruling.

However, Sabers now can swarm too reliably. A field of two minor Sabers can easily become 4, and don't forget Gottoms Emergency Call. Heck, this and Emmers/Fulhelm can bring out Gottoms and with all the swarm, that can blast away opposing comeback options if they don't outright win.

Sabers just don't lose much advantage when they overextend. Their level 6 Synchro can be a +1, or even a +2 if you used Darksoul, and Boggart sets up the conditions for Summoning this in an instant, again, worsened by Darksoul.

Because Raigeki Break + Beatstick is oh-so tier 0.
They're definitely better but NOT tier 0.
And before you say that you can negate Raigeki Break, counterability does not imply balance. ever.
