Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca: The review

Recommended Posts

My review of Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca (yes, I know this card has been around for a while):

'Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca' (Dark/Winged Beast/Level: 10 (tribute 3 face up monsters to normal summon this monster)/ATK: 100/DEF: 100/There can only be 1 face-up "Earthbound Immortal" monster on the field. If there is no face-up Field Spell Card on the field, destroy this card. Your opponent cannot select this card as an attack target. This card can attack your opponent directly. When this card is Normal Summoned, return up to 3 cards you control to your Deck, except this card, and discard the same number of cards from your opponent's hand at random. This card gains 1000 ATK for each card discarded by this effect.)

Review:

One really big issue with this card is that the only way it can have any decent ATK points is to normal summon it, which means tributing 3 monsters (it’s a Level 10 monster) AND making sure a field spell is active (this is an Earthbound Immortal, so field spells need to be active).

And to make matters worse, as well as what I’ve just said, you also need to send 3 more of your cards to your deck and have your opponent discard 3 cards from his hand.

In other words, since the odds that he will be summoned with any decent ATK points are slim, Wiraqocha Rasca is virtually useless.

Score: 4/10

erm you've got the wrong effect

While this card is face-up on the field, "Earthbound Immortals" cannot be summoned. If there are no Field Spell Cards on the field, this card is destroyed at the End Phase and the following effects are negated: ● This card can attack your opponent directly. ● Monsters your opponent controls cannot select this card as an attack target. ● This card is unaffected by the effects of your opponent's Spell and Trap Cards. ● Once per turn, by skipping the Battle Phase, reduce your opponent's Life Points to 1.

To be perfectly honest, its an Earthbound Immortal. It's got all their rules and it isn't great (In TCG). I don't think much more really has to be said?

And Osiris; So true. So very true.

That's the anime effects. I have simply reviewed the real life (TCG) version of the card.

I would have to agree with that. The reason why I reviewed wiraqocha rasca was because it doesn't get talked about much.

They could have been decent.

The idea of just negating their effect, and not destroying them until the End Phase was perfectly fine. I don't know why they were so badly nerfed (oh wait, that's right. Konami extra nerfs bad guys' cards)

Another thing is... its effect damages its owner more than its opponent.
Discarding cards > Returning cards to the Deck.
Up to 3 from hand > Up to 3 from field.

This should have been its effect:
If there are no Field Spell Cards on the field, negate this card's effects, and destroy it during the End Phase. This card can attack directly, and cannot be selected as an attack target. When this card is Summoned, discard up to 3 cards. Then, target that number of cards your opponent controls. Targeted cards are returned to the Deck. This card gains 1000 ATK/DEF for each card returned to the Deck this way.

^hhmmmmm... would that make it broken? =0

NO IT ISN'T I CHECKED THE WIKI IT SAID THE EFFECT I POSTED WAS ITS EFFECT

MEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The wiki has BOTH the anime effect and the TCG effect (try scrolling from top to bottom on the page).

I think you'll find that I'm right (just try it).

Also, there is no way Wiraqocha rasca could reduce your opponent's life points to 1 in one go in the real life game - it would be too good (which is probably why it was changed).

NOTE: BOTH of what I have just said makes perfect sense, regardless of how much of an idiot you lot think I am.

That's a bit rich coming from you, Shard of Stardust, arguably the stupidest member in TCG for several months until you changed your name (twice) and actually bothered to learn something rather than being an idiot. You were completely unaware of your own ignorance, which actually made it worse. I can understand why some would mock this guy but you of all people shouldn't. We were all idiots once; baptisms of fire will only drive members away.
