Alexander went down with another boy from Ravenclaw. They didn't speak much, but the older boy helped Alexander find the way since he wasn't familiar with the castle yet. When they entered the dining hall the pther boy said bye and went to his friends. Alexander looked around, trying to spot any of his friends. When he realized he was the only one from the cabin there he took a place at an empty end of one of the tables (he had no idea which table it was)

Kazuya followed one of the other students down for breakfast still keeping minimal conversation with others due to his lack of trust of other people. Once he arrived at the hall Kazuya made his way over to the table he sat at the night before sitting down the end of it which had the least amount of people as he looked around noticing most of the houses seemingly mixed among one another through the four tables. "If they sit anywhere like this does this mean the sorting last night was just to decide which of the dorm rooms we go to?" Kazuya then thought to himself as he sat there silently.

At breakfast, Lucifer had his new Gryffindor robes on. He had gotten there earlier than most, and was enjoying Pancakes with Syrup, and Sausage. He didn't have too many friends so far, but he probably would meet more in class. But he noticed Alexander nearby, and wanted to say hello. So once he finished the bite he started. He waved at Alexander and spoke, "Hey!" He smiled. Then he grabbed a Sausage to nibble. He waited for a reply from him, and while nibbling, he thought of his past family's schools.

Overnight, Ellie had managed to make friends with a sixth-year Slytherin Prefect, and when she woke up, she followed him down to the Great Hall. Rather than go straight to the Slytherin table, however, she espied Alexander, and immediately went over to him.

"Hello," she said, smiling as usual. "I'm sorry about yesterday, by the way, it was very rude of those boys to laugh at you." She then noticed that Lucifer was also nearby, and she added, "I don't think we've met yet. I'm Eleonora Yancey, although everyone calls me Ellie." She glanced at his robes, and spotted the crimson and gold emblem; so, he's a Gryffindor. Oh well, he does look like a pleasant person though.

Alexander greeted Lucifer with a wave and said: "Hi!" He didn't recognize the boy, but he didn't mind sitting with people he didn't know. He took a piece of pancake with syrup and started nibble on it. Even if he had eaten a lot yesterday he was hungry again.

"I didn't really care about that." He said and smiled when Ellie apologied for the boys. "The kids at my old school, the muggle school, used to laugh at me too when I wanted to be inside drawing stuff instead of going outside playing soccer." He took another bite of the pancake and looked around trying to spot any other Ravenclaw first years, but without luck. "Does any of you know what class I'm having now? In case Ravenclaw was with Slytherin or Gryffindor in their first class, I mean."

"I'm Lucifer Featherpot. Ironic that i'm in Gryffindor with everyone else in my family have been going to Slytherin or Ravenclaw." He smiled, and finished his Breakfast. "Half-Blood. Probably why I didn't get into Slytherin." He holds his books. "So, your also trying to get the hang of life at this place?" He shrugged. "The food is good, though." He looked up, trying to think. He reassured himself they would accept that he was in Gryffindor, although his brothers might not. They have always assured him he would be in Ravenclaw, because he was different to his father's personality in most ways. "Well, maybe see you guys in class."

Rose made his way into the Great Hall for breakfast. He hadn't made any new friends in Hufflepuff yet...Then again, he hadn't really expected to, so he wasn't disappointed. He saw a few of the people from the train sitting at one of the tables and slowly took a seat next to Alexander. "H-hi...It's alright if I sit here, right?"
He noticed Ellie was sitting at the table too, and he took extra precautions to not make eye contact with her. It was bad enough that she existed in the first place, but to be a Veela and a Slytherin? Rose sniffed at the thought of his loneliness.

Alend moved downwards the stairs to the great hall with unusually heavy legs, he had only caught a glimpse of sleep due to his excitement. He was pleased over his progress this soon, he had actually talked with the other students and maybe he could even find a few friends, but he knew he shouldn't except to much. He woke up from his daydreaming when he bumped into another student by mistake and was pushed away, the student's friends laughed as they progressed up the stairs. Alend narrowed his eyes at the student and whispered a silent curse to himself, douche.

Alend shrugged and within the first second he saw inside the great hall again the previous unpleasant event was blown away, once again he glanced around the hall with newly awakened eyes. Goodies and enormousness amounts of english breakfast were adorned on the tables, which was half filled with groups of students from all different houses. Alend noticed the only ones not put together were Gryffindor and Slytherin, so his parents had indeed been correct about that. He moved his gaze to the food and a thrill of excitment was sent through him. Alend had never eaten English food before even though he lived in London. His parents were from Africa like the rest of the house of Paren and they stuck to their food, which most English men would refer to as exotic - which was the exact opposite for Alend.

In the middle of the food inspection he noticed Ellie, two fellows from the cabin and another one he didn't know, he stared at the last boy in dismay as he saw his badge. Alend considered his decision to join them or join another group, this due to the Gryffindor. He straightened up and began to move to a table, with his decision made. "Hey Ellie" Alend said with the ghost of smile on his lips, trying to look undisturbed by the Gryffindors presence. "And your.." he struggled with the name for a swift second "..Alexander! Right? I'm Alend if you doesn't remember" he said politely, he turned again and greeted Rose friendly also struggling with his name. He simply inclined his head at the Gryffindor and took a seat, his eyes fixed at the delicious food.

After the satisfying dinner last night in the Great Hal, Izzy was ready to go right to sleep. A lot of the Ravenclaws were surprised when Izzy headed towards the girls dormitories, even the Prefect almost said something about it. Izzy had to admit, it was quite the hilarious scene. The next morning, Izzy awoke bright and early, taking a quick shower and placing on her buttondown white shirt, and again with black pants and black, male dress shoes. Afterwards she placed on her robe, which was cleanly pressed and looked much better than it was actually worth.

Izzy once again held doors open for the female members of her house, and only being polite when doing it for some of the male members. When she entered the Great Hall once again, this time for breakfast, she noticed that a lot of the houses were mingling with one another. Quite the difference of what she was told by her parents. Izzy was going to head over to the Ravenclaw table, but noticed the train group, and a few others she had yet to meet, sitting together. Izzy turned and headed over to the group. "Morning, Ellie, gents." She nodded to the group, "Would you mind if I join you for breakfast?"

Alexander got confused at all the people suddenly showing up. In fact, he got so confused he got a piece of pancake stuck in his throat, but luckily he was able to cough it out. Once that was done, he noticed Izzy.

"Hey, Izzy!" He said and smiled, and then coughed again. "Do you know what class we're having first this morning?"

At that moment, when Alexander asked that question, Professor Fordrick came into the Great Hall, looking as tired as yesterday evening. "First year Ravenclaws and Gryffindors, come with me to your first lesson of the day..." Fordrick then called out to Professor Trelawney, "...Trelawney, could you take the first year Hufflepuffs and Slytherins to their lesson?" Trelawney looked up from her hazy crystal ball and nodded, walking up to the four tables and gathering all the first years of the Hufflepuff and Slytherin houses.

"Alright then Trelawney, take your group to Potions, that'll be all." the Divination Professor nodded, and lead her group of students out of the great hall, and into the Potions classroom, she opened the door for them, and closed it behind them once they entered the room. Professor Horatio was bent over something, a potion, perhaps, and hadn't noticed the arrival of the first years. When he did notice, he did a double take and smiled, "Ah! Your here then! Sit down, sit down..."

Meanwhile, Fordrick took the Ravenclaws and Gryffindors outside, walked by the forbidden forest, and eventually came to the Greenhouses. He then wandered off, off to do other things; in the forest, something watched the group, but left after the large Herbology teacher came from around the back of the Greenhouses to greet the students, "Hello! I'm Professor Sprout! And I guess you're here for your first lesson! Just go inside this Greenhouse, and stand by a pot, once you've done that, I'll tell you the rest!"

Kazuya stood as Professor Trelawney walked around following her but staying to the back of the group as they moved through the school the the potions classroom. Kazuya sat down a couple seconds after the teacher noticed them and told them to sit, looking at what the professor had been bent over not able to see it properly from where he sat and instead turned his interest to the room looking around to see the layout of the room easier as he watched the students who, like him, had most likely already took their seats somewhere in the room.

Alend hurried after professor Trelawnys rapid pace through the hundred stair steps, taking no notice of the students he ate breakfast with. Several thrills of excitement filled his body, potions eh? It may not be the subject I'm most interested in but I bet i't'll be just as interesting. Just think about the different recipes and potion breeds I'll learn and..thoughts flowed in Alenda head as they seemed to climb the last stair steps and take a swift turn to the left. Slytherin and Hufflepuff had been placed together and Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, maybe it was best to seperate Gryffindor and Slytherin given the circumstances between the two houses. Professor Trelawny stopped at a door and told students to go with her when she pushed the door open, she gestured with her hands hasty towards the entrance. Alend walked into the room, immediately a damp smell reached his nose welcoming. A professor greeted them and told them to sit down. Alend ventured around the room with his eyes and decided to sit in the middle, not wanting to draw to much attention but not wanting to disappear among the other students.

Rose followed Trelawney briskly and came to the Potions classrooom with the other Hufflepuffs and Slytherins.
Wait...Slytherin? Does that mean...Ellie's here?! ((OOC: As you can tell by now, Rose is obsessed with Ellie. I really need to stop copypasta-ing my psych analysis into my characters...)))
The air smelled strange in the classroom, Rose noticed. It was an odd mixture of ground copper and burning fungus. The air felt odd as well...Sometimes it felt as arid as a desert, while at others he felt as though he were at the bottom of the Mediterranean.
It was at this point Rose noticed he was sitting between two Slytherins, neither of which were Eleanora. They were a blonde girl and a black-haired girl, the latter of which seeming to be quite interested in Rose. The blonde, however, was shooting him dirty looks, causing him to blush and put his head down.

Izzy shook her head in the negative at Alexander's question. She too didn't know which classes they would be having, nor which house they would be having it with. Izzy didn't really eat much due to her not being that hungry, and instead listened to whatever conversation the others were having. Before long Prof. Fordrick came along and told the Ravenclaws and Gryffindors to follow him, leavign the other two houses to follow Trenawly. Izzy followed along stayin in step right behind the professor, but she still didn't slouch or hunch over. Like always her back was straight and her chest was up. She was surprised that they were led into the Forbidden Forsets, and started falling to the back of the line, though not on purpose. Izzy was heling some of the other girls step over tricky roots, or helping them up after they had tripped. By the time they reached the Greenhouse, Izzy had fell all the way to the back of the group.

"Great, it's Herbology. I wish our first class was something else, but I suppose getting the boring stuff out of the way first is also fine." Izzy stated to herself as they entered the greenhouse and was greated by Prof. Sprout, the Hufflepuff Head of House. Izzy followed the others inside the greenhouse and took a seat where the rest of the Ravenclaws were lining up at. Izzy glanced around and noticed that Lucifer was there as well. She nodded slightly at him, casting a smirk - as she rarely did smile like her father - in his direction.

Alexander had no problem with his first class being herbology, although he was a bit disappointed that he wouldn't get to use his wand during this class. He heard what Izzy said about herbology and commented: "It's probably more interesting than muggle plants, at least." He then went on and thought about all the plants he saw around him. Didn't look THAT unusual, except for a few that looked like venus flytraps. Except with bigger mouths and teeth. It could be interesting, even if wand magic wasn't involved.

Lucifer had a Venus Flytrap like one. It snapped at him, he clamped its Jaws. It almost went rabid, and he shuddered, looking back. "I need to trade." He shook his head, but everyone else had sat down. He didn't think anyone would trade for his. He wrote in his journal: "I'm Screwed. This plant is probably out to kill me now." He had a sip of Water, and shook his head. He had whatever he needed on the table; Book, Water, Pencil, Wand(Just in case he needed to subdue the plant, somehow.), and Reading Book.

In Herbology...

The Venus Flytrap-like plant was taken from Lucifer by Professor Sprout's assistant, he looked like the man on the train, Professor Sprout confirmed this. "Ah, thank you Neville!" the large woman seemed to be refering to the removal of the Flytrap, "I don't know why I left it out...Ah, yes, students, this is my assistant, Professor Longbottom! Though most just call him Neville..." the assistant went red with embarrasment, hurrying off to tend to some ordinary looking pot plants.

Professor Sprout taught the students about a whole myriad of things, though none of them involved any physical labour; the whole time, the Flytrap watched Lucifer, growling at him through out the whole lesson. When the lesson finished, Professor Sprout sent Longbottom to escort the students back to the grounds for their break. When they got to the grounds, Longbottom informed the students that they wouldn't work together in their next lessons, before hurrying back to the Greenhouses.

In Potions...

Professor Horatio proved to be much more friendly than what many believed to be the Potions Master stereotype, much to the relief of a few first years. During the lesson, he taught the students all about the Wolfsbane Potion, and how it would ease, but not cure, Lycanthropy; Professor Horatio also taught the students how to brew Pepperup Potion, incase they would catch a cold during their stay at Hogwarts.

Someone drank the Potion before the Professor could warn them that steam would come out of the drinker's ears for several hours. At the end of the lesson, the Potions Master sent the students out, giving them directions to the grounds, where most students socialize. As the first years left, Professor Horatio went back to bending over something on his desk.

(Now all students are out on the grounds, perhaps now is a good time to discuss yesterday's announcement of missing pets?)

Alend walked out into the blinding sun, he was slightly dazed by it but recovered after his sight went black for a second. Crowds of students rushed out into freedom, most first year went to the side, careful. Alend took a deep breath and exhaled with relief, filling his lunges with fresh air. The potion classroom had had way to damp and bad air, especially after several failures when experimenting, Alend among the failures. Alend stood for a while with closed eyes just letting the heat warm his body. Well, he didn't except to be tanned, considering his skin color. He snapped back to reality after a few five year students shoved him out of the way. Now, where is everyone? he thought as he searched the crowds of students.

Kazuya walked out into the sun after most of the others, the light of the sun blinding him for a couple seconds before he made his way out carefully wandering slowly as he wondered how loong it would take him to get used tyo being in a place this large. "my parents never said it was this large.. atleast it will give me space to keep to myself" he muttered noticing one of the slytherin students who was in his class nearby looking for someone ion the crowds by the looks of it, Kazuya not really remembering most of them from the potions class, slightly remembering a few of the student's failures when they were experimenting though Kazuya had tried keeping to himself and not really tried to go that far from what they had already learned while they were in class.

Nathan squinted as he left the Hgreenhouse, the bright sun dazzling him after being in such a damp, dark place for such a long time. He obediently followed the rest of his group, but his eyes greedily took in the sights; the grounds, the forest, and most importantly, Hogwarts himself. Once again, Nathan felt that feeling of awe that had been popping up periodically ever since he got here rise in his chest as his green eyes took in the intricate spires and facades of the grand magical building.

Wizards built this place, Nathan thought, And I'm a wizard! Even now, several weeks after discovering this fact, Nathan could hardly get over the fact that he- little old himself- could do...magic!

The customary smile he wore grew even bigger and his group reached the main part of the Hogwarts grounds, but he paused for a moment as the assistant left them to their own devices. None of the faces were familiar to him; looks like nobody else from Southampton had come with him here- everyone was a stranger to him. Well, that was fine. He'll just get acquainted with them.

Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted another student, a dark-haired one wearing Hufflepuff robes. He must have just come from Potions room, Nathan thought, remembering the conversation at breakfast. Nathan himself was wearing red-colored ones which meant he was in Gryffindor, and had been in Herbology, but just because they were in different Houses didn't mean he couldn't socialize, right? The kid muttered, "My parents never said it was this large.." followed but something Nathan couldn't hear, but he turned his head to speak to the kid nonetheless.

"Right?" Nathan said, agreeing with the kid's statement. "I had no idea how massive this place was." Nathan gave the kid a comradely smile. "My name's Nathan. Nice to meet you." As he looked closer at his fellow student, Nathan noted he looked rather Asian. Hm. A lot of kids from different places come here, it seems, Nathan briefly thought.

During Herbology Izzy, though she wasn't really into plants and stuff, paid close attention to what the teacher was saying. Even if she found the class to be uninteresting according to her likes, doesn't mean she wasn't going to get the best grades. No, she was going to make sure she took superb notes, and did her very best in every class. It was what she was always told to do, and she was going to up hold it. By the end of class Izzy and her fellow students were led out into a large yard where the other first year students were also gather. Izzy thought it was odd to say the least, but otherwise shrugged it off.

She looked around and noticed Alend doing the same. Off to her left were Nathan - who she remembered seeing in Herbology - attempting to spark a conversation with the Hufflepuff Kazuya. Izzy weighed her options and decided to head to Alend, "Don't you think it odd?" She said suddenly right behind Alend. "That they would still have a class in the Forbidden Forest when there have been so many cases of missing pets?" Obviously thehre was somthing going on here, and what if whatever it was decided to go after people instead of pets? Having just a single teacher and her assistant be the only protection against whatever monster that is in there seemed...Well, a bit under prepared.

Right after the student introduced themself as Nathan Kazuya replied with his name ,simply saying "Kazuya..", and bowing slightly. "If people here are as likely to talk as Nathan then I should be able to make some friends here.." he then thought to himself as he tood there.

Alend turned around, surprised at a sudden appearance and a familiar voice behind his back. As he saw Izzy behind of him, he grinned "Oh hi". Alend thought about her question for a split second, clearly struggling. He shrugged, "Well, yeah. Your right it seems unprepared and quite odd.:" he said as his gaze shifted out in the open, his mind seemingly distant. When he realized what he was doing, he quickly fixed his eyes on Izzy again, embarrassed. "I know it might seem a little risky but maybe we can check out in a harmless way, maybe a some kind of bait and place it some distance into the woods and see what happens with it.." Alend said struggling with choosing the right words, he flushed with his childish enthusiasm about the case.

Izzy chuckled lightly seeing that Alend was surprised her her appearance. She listened to his idea and a smirk graced her features. "I was hoping you asked, but as for bait I was thinking no such thing. I wanted to go inside and see this for myself. I must admit it has intrigued me ever since I heard about it." She then added, "Of course not now where we can easily be spotted. I was thinking more so tonight when everyone is asleep. We can get some of the others to see if they wish to come as well." Izzy said, before taking a card from some girl that was in Hufflepuff, who giggled and then left to rejoin her group. "Hm, I am becoming quite popular. Too bad it is with the wrong sex." Izzy silently joked to herself with a chuckle. "Anyway, what to you say?"
