Do you have any idea how hard that is to do and have any idea who they are? People can have up to 3 names!

1) Registered names, some of which are blatantly made-up and have no visible ties to the other names.

2) DN names, which are the names I see the most when I'm making my coverage notes

3) YCM names, which are the names people on YCM know them as.

For example, Shard thankfully has his Registered name and YCM the same, but that's not his DN name.

The second example: Olly is the registered name, Pot of Problem is his DN name, and he's Kiryu on YCM.

The second featured match has both players' DN and YCM names the same (ZeroChill and Welche), but the registered names are nothing like them.

Almost done with the second coverage report, btw.

It's not that difficult to learn names. Plus, everybody goes around flaunting Olly's name. Actually, I'm fairly certain that his last name has been posted at least once, idk.

[spoiler=Coverage Match 2]

The second Coverage Match of byak's Tournament is between Alvin Yakatorie (ZeroChill) and Gus Lockhart (Welche), piloting Jurracs and Ojamas, respectively.

Gus goes first for the first game.

Game 1

Gus starts by Setting 2 cards to the backrow and ending.

Alvin activates Heavy Storm, destroying Solemn Warning and Solemn Judgment. With the defenses now gone, he Normal Summons Jurrac Dino and attacks directly. He then Sets 2 to his backrow and activates Pot of Duality, revealing Fossil Dig, Dimensional Prison, and another Pot of Duality. He takes Fossil Dig to his hand and ends his turn.

(Gus LP: 6300)

Gus activates his own Heavy Storm! The poor field hadn't even had time to recover from the first, and Alvin's Forbidden Lance and Torrential Tribute are swept away. He then Sets a monster and ends his turn.

Alvin Normal Summons Jurrac Guaiba and attacks the facedown monster with it, destroying Ojama Green. Guaiba's effect Summons Jurrac Velo from his Deck, but it can't attack this turn. Dino attacks directly. During Main Phase 2, Alvin Overlays Velo and Guaiba for Evolzar Laggia!

(Gus LP: 4600)

Gus Sets a monster and ends.

Alvin activates Fossil Dig and adds Jurrac Guaiba from his Deck, Normal Summoning it and using it to destroy Gus' Ojama Yellow. Guaiba Summons another copy of itself from the Deck, as Dino and Laggia attack directly! Gus is down to a mere 500 LP, and during Main Phase 2, Alvin Overlays his two Guaiba for Evolzar Dolkka!

(Gus LP: 500)

Gus concedes on his next turn. He just couldn't fight back against the might of the Jurracs and Evolzars staring him down!

Gus will be going first in game 2!

Game 2

Gus activates the Field Spell Ojama Country, and sets a card to each zone.

Alvin Normal Summons Jurrac Guaiba, no doubt planning a repeat of the last duel, but Gus flips his Solemn Judgment, paying half his LP to negate the Summon! Undaunted, Alvin activates Pot of Duality, revealing Dark Bribe, Jurrac Guaiba, and Jurrac Aeolo. He takes the Bribe and Sets 3 to his backrow.

(Gus LP: 4000)

Gus Normal Summons his Junk Synchron, and Flip Summons his facedown Ojama Red! Without hesitation, he Synchs the Level 3 Junk with the Level 2 Ojama for Frozen Fitzgerald, but Alvin is ready with his Solemn Warning! All that effort is lost in exchange for 2000 LP. Gus activates Ojama Country's effect, letting him discard a card to Special Summon an Ojama from his Graveyard. He sends Ojamagic to Special Summon Ojama Red in Attack Position. Ojamagic's effect then lets him add one each of Ojama Green, Ojama Yellow, and Ojama Black to his hand. In addition, Country swaps the ATK and DEF of all monster on the field while an Ojama is out, so he sends in Red to attack directly for 1000 damage!

(Alvin LP: 5000)

Alvin activates Fossil Dig, choosing Jurrac Velo from his Deck and Normal Summoning it. Even with its ATK and DEF swapped, Velo has 1000 ATK, and rams Red, destroying both monsters. Velo then Special Summons another Jurrac Velo from the Deck by its effect and attacks Gus directly with his new monster.

(Gus LP: 2300)

Gus, eager to mount a counterattack, Normal Summons Junk Synchron, but Alvin flips Solemn Judgment, paying half his LP and stopping the Synchron in its tracks! Gus discards Ojama Black for Ojama Country to revive Ojama Red. He passes play to Alvin.

(Alvin LP: 2500)

Alvin destroys Ojama Country with Mystical Space Typhoon, restoring his Jurrac's stats. Then he Normal Summons Jurrac Aeolo and uses its effect, Special Summoning Jurrac Guaiba from the Graveyard. Two attacks later and the match is his!

Alvin's Dinosaur deck stomps all over Gus' Ojamas twice in the row for a swift and decisive victory! Good games!

/ok thanks for covering my match

Byakk could we just see the pairings for the next rounds but not start yet?

I didnt say for the round to start

just to see the pairings

Obviously I was being sarcastic in my post too >.>

Meh I don't think that's how tourneys work showing pairings before a round is done.

Please learn to swiss. Pairings for each round are based upon how well each player did in previous rounds, so as to narrow the pool down to a top X (in this case, 8)

I'm almost infamous for being TERRIBLE with names to the point where name changes are usually unnoticed for weeks, and then I suddenly realize I know the person. It drives me crazy.

And you're welcome. They wanted to duel, and I was available to cover the match. If you were on, I'd probably have directed them to you.
