[spoiler=Coverage Match!]

The first coverage match of byak's YCM Legends Tourney match is between Shard and Pot of Problem! Both duelists have their skill reputations known to the general public, so let's see what kind of duel they bring us!

After the Rock Paper Scissors match, where Problem emerges triumphant, the card game begins!

Game 1

Problem opens with Thunder King Rai-Oh and a Set card.

Shard Normal Summons Fabled Raven and activates its effect, discarding Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World to increase its Level by 1 and ATK by 400 until the End Phase. Grapha's effect targets and destroys Problem's Set Mystical Space Typhoon. Shard activates the Field Spell The Gates of Dark World, giving Fiend-Type Fabled Raven the 300 extra points it needed to overcome Rai-Oh in battle. Shard ends his turn.

(Problem LP: 7900)

Problem activates Monster Reborn, Special Summoning Shard's Grapha to his field. Then he Normal Summons Reborn Tengu. Grapha attacks Fabled Raven, dealing 1400 damage to Shard, and Reborn Tengu attacks directly. Problem ends.

(Shard LP: 4900)

Shard Normal Summons Sangan and uses his own Monster Reborn to Special Summon his Fabled Raven from the Graveyard. He sets a card to his Spell and Trap Card Zone before he Synchs his Level 2 Raven and Level 3 Sangan for TG Hyper Librarian. Sangan's effect searches for Tour Guide of the Underworld. Librarian destroys Tengu, and Problem Summons another copy from his Deck. Shard ends his turn.

(Problem LP: 7200)

Problem Tributes his Tengu to Tribute Summon Caius, the Shadow Monarch and targets Shard's backrow. Shard chains Torrential Tribute, destroying all monsters on the field! Reborn Tengu is Special Summoned from the Deck and attacks Shard directly! Problem ends.

(Shard LP: 3200)

Shard Normal Summons his Tour Guide and uses its effect to Special Summon Broww, Huntsman of Dark World from his Deck. He returns Broww to his hand to Special Summons Grapha from his Graveyard. He activates Gates' effect, banishing Fabled Raven from the Graveyard to discard Broww, drawing 1 card from Gates and a second from Broww's effect. Grapha attacks Tengu, and Tour Guide hits directly for 1300. Shard ends his turn.

(Problem LP: 4600)

Problem draws, both players at 4 cards in hand. He takes a few moments to consider the options, then Normal Summons Tour Guide, Special Summoning another copy from the Deck. He Overlays both monsters to Xyz Summon Leviair, the Sea Dragon. He detaches a Guide to Special Summon Shard's banished Fabled Raven.

Next, Problem activates Raven's effect, discarding Spore and Dandylion to raise Raven's Level by 2 and its ATK by 800. Dandylion's effect Special Summons 2 Fluff Tokens. Problem banishes Dandylion from the Graveyard to Special Summon Spore from his Graveyard as a Level 4 monster. He Synchs his Level 4 Spore and both Fluff Tokens for Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier. With 1 card remaining in Problem's hand, he bounces Grapha and his monsters attack for the win!

The players head to their Side Decks to prepare for Game 2, and Shard will be going first!

Game 2

Shard starts with Tour Guide and Special Summons Sangan from his Deck. He Overlays the two Level 3 monsters to Xyz Summon Wind-Up Zenmaines in Defense, and ends his turn.

Problem Normal Summons Reborn Tengu and Sets a card to the backrow, passing play back to Shard.

Shard activates Pot of Duality, revealing Doomcaliber Knight, Beiige, Vanguard of Dark World and The Gates to Dark World. Adds Gates to his hand and ends without another move.

Problem Normal Summons Glow-Up Bulb and Synchs the Level 1 with the Level 4 Tengu for Ally of Justice - Catastor. He Special Summons another Tengu from his Deck, and mills Mystical Space Typhoon to Special Summon Bulb from his Graveyard. He Synchs Catastor with Bulb for Brionac, and discards Reborn Tengu from his hand to bounce Wind-Up Zenmaines to the Extra Deck. Tengu and Brionac attack directly. He ends his turn.

(Shard LP: 4000)

Shard activates Gates from his hand and banishes Tour Guide from his Graveyard to discard Grapha from his hand and draw 1 card. Grapha's effect destroys Brionac. He Normal Summons Broww, but Problem discards DD Crow from his hand to banish Grapha from the Graveyard. His big play stopped dead in its tracks, Shard Sets a card to his backrow and ends.

Problem sends Tengu to destroy Broww at cost of its own life. With no more Tengu in his Deck, he Summons Doomcaliber Knight during Main Phase 2 and Sets a card to the backrow before ending.

Shard Sets a monster and ends.

Problem draws, bringing him to a hand size of 2. Doomcaliber attacks, destroying the Set Snoww, Unlight of Dark World. He ends.

Shard draws to 5 in hand. Sets a monster and ends again.

Problem attacks the Set DD Crow and ends.

(Note: This is a misplay on Shard's part. Shard forgot Doomcaliber Knight is a mandatory effect and could have gotten rid of it by activating Crow's effect from his hand. In fact, Shard's refusal to sacrifice a DW Effect to get rid of Doomcaliber likely cost him the duel).

Shard Sets a monster and ends.

Problem attacks the Set Beiige and Sets a backrow before ending.

Shard Sets a monster again.

Problem attacks the Set Broww. Sets a monster.

Shard Summons Doomcaliber Knight, but Problem flips Solemn Warning, paying 2000 to negate its Summon! (Problem LP: 6000) Shard ends.

Problem swings directly with Doomcaliber (Shard LP: 1800). Sets a backrow.

Shard sets a monster again.

Problem activates MST from his hand, destroying Shard's Return From the Different Dimension. Attacks the Set Tour Guide with Doomcaliber.

Shard Summons Doomcaliber Knight and sends it after Problem's facedown monster, revealing it to be a Spirit Reaper, which isn't destroyed by battle.

Problem activates Mind Control on Shard's Doomcaliber Knight, leaving his Field open to win the game, and the match!

After a prolonged second game, Problem's Tengu Synchro deck topples Shard's Dark Worlds 2-0! Good games!

It's good, but for the record can you use registered names instead of DN names in the feature match? o:

Do you have any idea how hard that is to do and have any idea who they are? People can have up to 3 names!

1) Registered names, some of which are blatantly made-up and have no visible ties to the other names.

2) DN names, which are the names I see the most when I'm making my coverage notes

3) YCM names, which are the names people on YCM know them as.

For example, Shard thankfully has his Registered name and YCM the same, but that's not his DN name.

The second example: Olly is the registered name, Pot of Problem is his DN name, and he's Kiryu on YCM.

The second featured match has both players' DN and YCM names the same (ZeroChill and Welche), but the registered names are nothing like them.

Almost done with the second coverage report, btw.

[spoiler=Coverage Match 2]

The second Coverage Match of byak's Tournament is between Alvin Yakatorie (ZeroChill) and Gus Lockhart (Welche), piloting Jurracs and Ojamas, respectively.

Gus goes first for the first game.

Game 1

Gus starts by Setting 2 cards to the backrow and ending.

Alvin activates Heavy Storm, destroying Solemn Warning and Solemn Judgment. With the defenses now gone, he Normal Summons Jurrac Dino and attacks directly. He then Sets 2 to his backrow and activates Pot of Duality, revealing Fossil Dig, Dimensional Prison, and another Pot of Duality. He takes Fossil Dig to his hand and ends his turn.

(Gus LP: 6300)

Gus activates his own Heavy Storm! The poor field hadn't even had time to recover from the first, and Alvin's Forbidden Lance and Torrential Tribute are swept away. He then Sets a monster and ends his turn.

Alvin Normal Summons Jurrac Guaiba and attacks the facedown monster with it, destroying Ojama Green. Guaiba's effect Summons Jurrac Velo from his Deck, but it can't attack this turn. Dino attacks directly. During Main Phase 2, Alvin Overlays Velo and Guaiba for Evolzar Laggia!

(Gus LP: 4600)

Gus Sets a monster and ends.

Alvin activates Fossil Dig and adds Jurrac Guaiba from his Deck, Normal Summoning it and using it to destroy Gus' Ojama Yellow. Guaiba Summons another copy of itself from the Deck, as Dino and Laggia attack directly! Gus is down to a mere 500 LP, and during Main Phase 2, Alvin Overlays his two Guaiba for Evolzar Dolkka!

(Gus LP: 500)

Gus concedes on his next turn. He just couldn't fight back against the might of the Jurracs and Evolzars staring him down!

Gus will be going first in game 2!

Game 2

Gus activates the Field Spell Ojama Country, and sets a card to each zone.

Alvin Normal Summons Jurrac Guaiba, no doubt planning a repeat of the last duel, but Gus flips his Solemn Judgment, paying half his LP to negate the Summon! Undaunted, Alvin activates Pot of Duality, revealing Dark Bribe, Jurrac Guaiba, and Jurrac Aeolo. He takes the Bribe and Sets 3 to his backrow.

(Gus LP: 4000)

Gus Normal Summons his Junk Synchron, and Flip Summons his facedown Ojama Red! Without hesitation, he Synchs the Level 3 Junk with the Level 2 Ojama for Frozen Fitzgerald, but Alvin is ready with his Solemn Warning! All that effort is lost in exchange for 2000 LP. Gus activates Ojama Country's effect, letting him discard a card to Special Summon an Ojama from his Graveyard. He sends Ojamagic to Special Summon Ojama Red in Attack Position. Ojamagic's effect then lets him add one each of Ojama Green, Ojama Yellow, and Ojama Black to his hand. In addition, Country swaps the ATK and DEF of all monster on the field while an Ojama is out, so he sends in Red to attack directly for 1000 damage!

(Alvin LP: 5000)

Alvin activates Fossil Dig, choosing Jurrac Velo from his Deck and Normal Summoning it. Even with its ATK and DEF swapped, Velo has 1000 ATK, and rams Red, destroying both monsters. Velo then Special Summons another Jurrac Velo from the Deck by its effect and attacks Gus directly with his new monster.

(Gus LP: 2300)

Gus, eager to mount a counterattack, Normal Summons Junk Synchron, but Alvin flips Solemn Judgment, paying half his LP and stopping the Synchron in its tracks! Gus discards Ojama Black for Ojama Country to revive Ojama Red. He passes play to Alvin.

(Alvin LP: 2500)

Alvin destroys Ojama Country with Mystical Space Typhoon, restoring his Jurrac's stats. Then he Normal Summons Jurrac Aeolo and uses its effect, Special Summoning Jurrac Guaiba from the Graveyard. Two attacks later and the match is his!

Alvin's Dinosaur deck stomps all over Gus' Ojamas twice in the row for a swift and decisive victory! Good games!
