So my dad asks me to take out the garbage as I'm watching the latest Bleach episode. I say fine and put my laptop down while I go take it out.
When I get back, I see my dad staring at my laptop.

"Fusion...what are you watching?
"...Um"
*does not want to come out of anime closet*

Discuss times you caught someone or got caught doing something private.

My moms caught me playing Pokemon LeafGreen and talking to myself.

"Itachi use Flamethrower and kill that guy."
"Kitty what are you doing?"
"I'm Pokemon battling woman."
"Aren't you too old for that? You're 18 for crying out loud!"
"It's not something you grow out of mom! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! YOU TRY PLAYING THE GAME AND RAISING 342 POKEMON THEN YOU TRY TO PUT IT DOWN!!!!! YOU CAN'T DO IT!!!!"

I spiced that up some. Basically everything's true up until the caps. Seriously Pokemon isn't something you just grow out of... >.<

Say that someone online recommended it. ;)

tbh, my parents and family have no clue that I watch a ton of anime. But when I say that I go back to watch an old anime from childhood; DBZ, Gundam Wing, Digimon, ect. They don't even care. My friends don't really know because we rarely talk about it. If you can't explain it away then start by making the case that anime isn't only for kids and that it's the Americanization of it that forces that stereotype on it.

Playing Japanese Fighting Games. My friend often takes the piss saying that it sounds like a Hentai episode every time a Girl gets hurt XD

It does. o.0

It's weird because my family doesn't mind anime-like video games, but would freak out if I still watch new anime every season. <_<

That's cool. I wish my parents called me by my username, too.

There's nothing I'd be more afraid than bothered to share with most people. Especially nothing with my friends and family. My friends know I watch more anime than I do schoolwork and other things combined and my family knows I do but not in a quantitative equivalent. It's more my brother who knows of this than most of the others in the family, but I'd share if asked.

I make it perfectly clear to my parents that what I wish to do with my time and money is my decision and mine alone.

They back off. My father occasionally tries to say I'm wasting money, but I just lecture him again, pointing out how I worked for the money on my own.

The only real issue they've had after that is my playing Ar tonelico Qoga in the living room in the middle of the day, because of the existence of some variation of this for all 10 or so playable girls:

My parents know that I like anime, but they don't let me watch it.

They just don't know that I STILL can watch anime none the less.

lol
[/quote]How do you mean they don't let you watch it?

They control what you like and dislike? 0_0

Not really.
Though I'm quite afraid someone will walk in whilst I'm watching MLP:FiM, so I always hold my remote so I can change the channel, and if they ask I can say "Flipping through the channels"
Strangely enough, though, my parents didn't question anything when I got FFX-2 in the mail by mistake (I had ordered FFX)
