90% of the shows they air on this channel are absolutely abysmal, its like CN doesn't even care what the hell they air on this channel anymore. In fact, it isn't even CARTOON network anymore, its more reality than anything now. They ditched almost every original show they ever had on that for something that doesn't even live up to what it replaced in the first place, I mean really nothing on this channel is even worth wasting your time on at all because all the shows suck so damn bad.

I mean what the hell were the writers thinking when they made all these half assed excuse for a show? Were they high on crack or something because it seems like that to me based on the fact that almost every show on CN today looks so screwed up. For example, the PROBLEM SOLVERZ looks like your on crack the whole time your watching that show. I mean even not that, but your probably actually lose brain cells because you have to put up with these shows and your brain cells can't handle how stupid and ridiculous these shows are. But probably their most biggest and dumbest mistake must have been when they started to slowly phase out shows and blocks one by one and year by year. They took out some of Cartoon networks best blocks and replaced them with absolute BS.

There is two blocks that come to mind and most people remember- Fridays and Toonami. Fridays was a good block to look forward too because they always had a new episode of something air of a show that was actually worth watching, Ed, Edd n Eddy, KND, Courage the cowardly dog, Johnny Bravo and so on. Toonami was a Saturday block dedicated to action and anime, abit more darker than your daytime CN shows. But as time went on even toonami started to die slowly until it was time to pull the plug and that was the last time toonami was on, after 10 years it was gone.

It was during this time as well they slowly introduced shows that started to suck *cough* MGPAM
They also phased out the City era completely in 2007 or 2008 i don't remember.
The city era was one of my favorite times of CN because you could see what it would look like to have all the characters from your favorite shows interacting with each other in a city, which was a very good concept, and I guess it was the money that was getting to CN now and they somehow had a need to want to go with the crowd with its main competitors Disney and Nick. So as 2007 rolled around everything pretty much went downhill from there and from that moment on I had pretty much gave up on cartoon network. They just kept coming out with shows that were pulled out of their asses when they were taking a dump in the corporate bathrooms. They don't even bother with quality shows now, anything that can get CN more money and in the lead of the competition is what it all boils down to now.

They don't care about your entertainment or your cartoon network, ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY NOW. Cartoon Networks new slogan should be: Cartoon Network, contradicting our title of CARTOONS and replacing your favorite cartoons with half assed reality shows that suck ass and dont belong on a CARTOON CHANNEL! That another thing that really pisses me off, why in their right mind would they name a NETWORK with CARTOON in it if all they pretty much show now is live action reality shows? That doesn't even make any sense whatsoever, in fact nothing now on CN makes any sense. CARTOON NETWORK IS A FAILURE AND IS DEAD NOW.

Samurai Jack and Johnny Bravo were like the best things that Cartoon Network ever made.

Agreed on the above shows. Genndy Tartakovsky is the best thing that ever happened to Cartoon Network, so I was happy to see Sym-Bionic Titan, but that had to get cancelled because Cartoon Network has some sort of vendetta against robots. Genndy, Toonami, and the various other cartoons on the channel simply made my childhood, but that applies to most of us. Megas XLR, Teen Titans, Courage the Cowardly Dog, you name it. Like I said before, Cartoon Network has become the new MTV. Sure, Ben 10 is still going on, and Generator Rex and Young Justice are apparently pretty good, but I just haven't found the time to watch those shows. They might as well just change their name. I hate that what was once my favorite channel has sunk so low.

I really, really hate how mentally slow many things in multimedia are becoming. It is abhorrent that Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon are following Disney's failure for just failratings. I'm pretty sure that, if Walt Disney would be alive for a day to see how low cartoons have sunk, he'd feel quite horrible, especially with how Disney treats cartoons: Something that Walt Disney spent his life making. Imo, it is the person who thought that an increase in realistic programming on Disney was a good idea's fault. Whoever he is, he must be carried up onto the stake on top of a mountain and burned when the sun rises high. He indirectly ruined Cartoon Network to some ho-ho-horrible programming.

Crying because Cartoon Network was my childhood and I'll have to pay so much money for DVDs of Ed, Edd, n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo, The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Teen Titans, Scooby Doo, The Kids Next Door, and even Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends so that my child will have a beautiful childhood with amazing shows, okay.

It's such a shame what society has come to. Even children shows are promoting the wrong things in ridiculous TV.

TV is pretty much cornered here.
-Nickelodeon
-Fox Kids /Getix
-MTV
-Disney
-Cartoon Network
-Animax
etc.
and others have lost their luster with the years adding reality shows and eliminating cartoons little by little (or in MTV's case, eliminating music)

Even when I DO see something interesting in any of them, the long commercials kill it for me, so they would need to have godly programs to make up for it.
By the time Cartoon Network ended up like that, I hadn't even noticed since I don't even watch TV anymore.

I agree with what' been said in other comments.

Code Lyoko anyone? That show was sick!

Also I still watch Adult Swim at nights that's the only thing still somewhat good. I try skipping CN now. And who's idea was it to make cussing appropriate for kids cartoons anyway?

Voltron, Robotech, Thundercats, and Ronin Warriors.

People still watch Cartoon Network? People still whine about the current Cartoon Network in the age of Youtube?

Also, if they revive the Cartoon Network of the late 90's, it will likely suck. It's also pointless you can just buy the DVDs or go on Youtube. Some of these companies uploaded entire series.

The only shows I used to watch on there alot, EEnE, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and Codename: Kids Next Door, aren't on much anymore (that and I have every episode of them). Rarely I'll watch Boomerang for the older cartoons.
In the rare times I am watching cartoons on TV it's usually Disney/Nick.
