evilfusion
http://yugioh.wikia....hoton_Sanctuary Normal Spell You cannot Summon non-Light monsters during the turn you activate this card. Special Summon 2 "Photon Tokens" (Thunder-Type/LIGHT/Level 4/ATK: 2000/DEF: 0) in Defense Position. These Tokens cannot attack and cannot be used as Synchro Material Monsters. Card singlehandedly makes a few Light Tribute monsters playable. Such as Galaxy-Eyes. There's just so much epicness contained within this card. Plus, it helps Summon Galaxy-Eyes. It can be used for either a Tribute or Special Summon. What's not to love? Now, discuss the card. Discuss its uses. Discuss combos. Discuss cards made more playable by it. Discuss the awesome card design.

White Void
Will become entirely new levels of hilarious once we get Photon Kaiser. I really love what Konami did with this card though, fantastic design, imo.
evilfusion
That's assuming Photon Kaiser will be released. I dont think it will, since it's a one-card instant Rank 8 (or less, if using Level Eater). I love this card. When I saw it, I knew it was going to be groundbreakingly awesome. And my Galaxy-Eyes loves it. As does LADD.

Photon Kaiser will likley let you substitute it for 2 monsters, if you use it for an Xyz that needs 3 or more. Which is my guess on it's printed effects(provided, it gets an IRL release). As for the card itself, its an incredible support card that makes a few under-rated cards actually more playable. Creator, for example.

This card can only be used for a XYZ summon while you use another monster as a XYZ material along with this card, making it a balanced 2x8 Rank 8 or 3x8 Rank 8. OT: Their a list of light monsters that would love this card even Krystia.
TheTurtleOnceCalledGod
Photon Sanctuary is a good card. We need balanced token makers like this, and ban Dandylion already.

evilfusion
Let's not discuss Dandylion's questionable brokenness. Photon Sanctuary has the advantage in that it's a Spell Card without serious restrictions, whereas other Spells that produce Tokens tend to have extreme downsides, like the inabilty to Summon at all (Stray Lambs, Scapegoat), the inability to Tribute them for Summons (Scapegoat, Fires of Doomsday), or some sort of cost/restriction (Reptilianne Spawn, Worm Bait).
Photon Sanctuary? No, it only got released recently. How is it overpowered? It Summons 2 tokens that cannot attack or be Synchro-ed with, with 2000 ATK and 0 DEF, in Defense Position. You also cannot Summon non-LIGHT monsters in the same turn. Tokens cannot be used for Xyz, so it's pretty much Tribute fodder.

Of course it is limited to the LIGHT attribute, but it seems a tad too generous (IMO).
Ieyasu Tokugawa
Many of the stuff this could allow to be tribute summoned and that would abuse it can already be summoned easily. Like Hyperion.

In the case of a Single tribute, like lolkuraz or something, it's a +0, max. It's a technical +1 that ends in a minus more often than not, just the amount of minus is weighed out by what it brings out, IE Angel 07, LaDD, etc. But it has no practical uses. It has its own deck, and that's it. The card's not broken or "overpowered". It's perfectly balanced.

Daigusto Sphreez
Well, its usage is partially circumstancial, since having Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon (or another level 7+ light monster) in your hand isn't guaranteed, which ties in with it being -1. It just seems to me that each batch of cards released slowly creeps up in power, making older archetypes or older cards from archetypes obselete. Ieyasu Tokugawa
That's kind of the idea. Why would you make new cards knowing people are just going to use the ones they already have? It's business bro.
Well, since I don't actually buy Yu-Gi-Oh cards anymore I didn't really consider that, since I don't suppose you would re-purchase if new archetypes are of equal strength to your current one. I'll stop derailing the topic now. xD
-Berserker-
You can still SET your Yamata Dragon, right? Also, this makes Gilford the Lightning and Moisture Creature playable...
evilfusion
Yes, you can still Tribute Set monsters, even non-Lights. The restriction is only on "Summoning". Which is epic, because Precious Cards From Beyond lets you draw if you Tribute Set a monster, too.
Indeed, I understand this, but it essentially allows you to summon Level 7's+ in 1 turn with no reprecussions. Of course it is limited to the LIGHT attribute, but it seems a tad too generous (IMO).
That doesn't mean it's overpowered. Maybe back in the days when Blue-Eyes White Dragon was god, this card would be too good, but in this day and age, Special Summoning Tokens that can't be used for a Synchro Summon, have decent ATK but are Summoned in DEF and can't attack, plus restricts the Attribute of monsters you can Summon that turn, that's not overpowered. It's balanced and it's good, but Special Summoning is the way of the world, and this is support for Tribute monsters. It's a good card, but a LONG way from being limit-worthy. Lonk
Oh, I see. I see evilfusion's birthday is now an official holiday. I wonder what that means... Too bad Parasitic Ticky doesn't gain ATK equal to the combined ATK of all Tokens on the field, and it is even worse that it isn't a LIGHT as well.
