thrunk is ghey since he banned j-max for no reason HERP DERPPPPPPPP

OT: Lol this'll never work and they'll never let this pass, seeing as how it'd allow ISPs to look at personal information.

yeh, well, derpity derp derp.

But yeah, I agree that this isn't a great idea. And If it did pass, banning trolling would only create more trolling.

IIRC, this was Rod's thing. =|

But anyways, about the actual thing, if you try and push for something, it's only going to push people even further from you. And also what Koko said.

I'm all for them going after trolls when they leave offensive and bullying comments on places like facebook, (BBC Panorama did a report on it, using one case where the bullying from trolls continued even after the victim committed suicide) but banning it will be near impossible to police.

Actual bullying is one thing, but where do you draw the line? We'd be giving the government the power to decide who's a troll.

Think of it this way. Would you want the government being a mod here? HELL NAW.

edit: If you read the details it also bans any sexual talk, and cursing.

THIS IS DELICIOUS

But really, it sounds like kind of a good idea on paper (most likely only on paper), it's just too broad.

It sounds terrible on paper.

So..... Were now going to log into Arizona servers from different states, and deliberately troll people?
Seems legit.
But would that in itself be illegal? If not I'm gonna start working on a Arizona-proxy right now.

Arizona can only do it within the confines of their own state so unfortunately, their legislation will not get them anywhere.

No
YCM is "ghey" cuz the admins no longer give a sh*t, leaving members and mods to fight each other day and night over issues that honestly don't matter because 90% of those issues require a f*cking admin to be active to solve.

1. Cyberbullying is a f***ing joke. Laws aimed at preventing it are a f***ing joke. The most effective way to prevent cyberbullying is to educate kids that this is the f***ing internet and it's really easy to block someone.
/rant

2. Other than it's ridiculously vague terms, I'm not all that surprised. There have already been cases of people getting in trouble with the law for posting hate speech and the like on twitter and facebook.

It wont' get passed and if it does, it won't work. But good try, I guess.
