I have felt the pain of some unplayable cards like Guardian Elma, Musician King, Sanwitch, Elemental Hero Neo Bubbleman, and others. So I decided to propose erratas for the banned cards that make the abovementioned cards unplayable. Anyways, here are the proposed erratas

Butterfly Dagger - Elma (for Guardian Elma)

This way, there would be less spammability via Gearfried.

Metamorphosis (for E HERO Neo Bubbleman)

I guess this is self-explanatory.

Pot of Greed (for cards that need it to be effective)

Now drawing 2 cards would have a cost.

Witch of the Black Forest [for Sanwitch and Musician King (although they can be fused with cards like King of the Swamp and Versago the Destroyer, I just wanted to do this.)]

Its once powerful search power would be limited to Lv 4 and below.

Raigeki (for Anti Raigeki)

Lower chance of an OTK.

Harpie's Feather Duster (for Gryphon's Wing)

Same with Raigeki, but also makes it fair to both you and the opponent.

Any comments and suggestions are welcome. ;)

What about Temple of the Kings because Mystical Beast Serket needs it to survive.

D'oh! I forgot about that! Thanks! Anyway, here it is:

It limits Trap cards that can be activated the same turn it is set per turn to one. For the Summoning, the Summoned monster has its effects negated and cannot attack the turn it is Summoned, thus lowering the chances of an OTK. :)

Graceful Charity's discard effect isn't a cost, so it was pretty much a field day for Dark Worlds since those two cards get their effects with missing timing. It was pretty much banned for that reason actually.

Regardless of whether DWs came or not it would have been eventually banned.

Pot of Greed, Witch, Raigeki, and Feather Duster still don't deserve to come back. Mainly because PoD took PoG's place and more drawing power is bad for the game, and the last three have absolutely no reason to come back and they're terrible card design.

And no, "cuz Anti-Raigeki" isn't a reason because it would never be ran anyways.

Re: Pot of Greed comparison to Graceful Charity: The Discard 1 card was meant to be a cost.

About the Anti-Raigeki thing...
I know it would never be ran, but as I said, this thread was meant to be in order to make unplayable cards usable.

Implying a GENERIC version of D-Draw is even remotely intelligent. And the fact that it's a cost changes nothing. Dear God people, DW are not the reason Graceful Charity is broken. Pull your heads out of your asses.

The "erratas" so far are either awful or still broken. Banned cards don't need to come back, and this type of idea is stupid, because most things that do come back like this, as new cards, are either awful or broken. Like Rescue Rabbit for broken, Tribe Shocking Virus for bad, and Mind Control for both, based on era.

You should just get a lock, honestly.

Few things

1. This thread is essentially RC, so there goes all that sh*t out of the window.
2. They've already tried to make more playable versions of banned cards, or, sometimes, even better, they've made unplayable versions of banned cards. It's all really quite ingenious... except for that the playable ones are still pretty broken.

Wasn't one of the reasons that Charity was banned because you hang onto it until you have Sinister Serpent in hand to discard for the "drawback," essentially making it a "discard 1" effect?

Errata'd Black Forest still searches power cards like Rai-Oh.

Raigeki/Feather Duster are broken no matter how you try to "balance" it. Nuking an entire row at the cost of your Battle Phase isn't much of a loss.

Even if that was the case, there's still the fact that it's a +0 that thins the deck by 3 and ditches either dead cards or cards you want in the grave.
more drawing power is bad for the game
This is not completely true.

Splashable draw power with no sort of actual drawbacks is one thing. However, Duality and Cardcar are both, inherently, good for the game. Together they are a bit busted, but that doesn't change the fact that they ARE good.

Basically, Pot of Greed is bad, Duality is good. Most of the problem with Draw Power is alt wins and burn, anyways.

Well, yeah, but I was referring to the TC's terrible version of PoG.

3 Errata PoG + 3 Duality + 3 Cardcar = S*** format

Dude, I errata'd these cards such that they can go down to at least Limited.

BTW, when comes September 2012, PoD will be at 2.

BTW, making cards so that they'll be Limited is damn terrible design. You should feel ashamed for trying to make things "limited".

At that, your Pot of Greed isn't even limitable. HURRDURR DISCARD 1 THIN DECK BY 2. D-Draw just came to three, what makes you think a generic version of that is even a remotely good idea? Cause it's not.

At this point, it's practically not worth arguing with them. They look at Konami's pro card-designing skills and banlist management and patterns, and follow Konami's example.

As for the topic, Konami doesn't do errata to change OCG function to a card after the card has been printed. If they were to print these newer cards, they'd have different names and lines to give them the other name that's needed.
