Yugioh Collection

Recommended Posts

I want to know what you think is the best way to organize your yugioh card collections, and how you store all your cards?

Right now, I use shoeboxes for the random commons (stacked by set), and put the relevent ones from those sets (useful archetype cards, or random things like skill drain) in seperate stacks.

I also keep all my rares in collector tins that I have aquired, as well as put the relevent ones in their own tins as well.

I keep all my foils in collector tins, and any relevent ones are usually in my trade binder(s). Same thing goes for the rares. Any foils I do not wish to trade are just kept with my foil collection.

How does everyone else do it? Is there a better way?

Put Good holos in a trade binder, in Decks or in a big box that stores stuff that you're not trading but will need at some point, bad holos ina binder for bad holos, good commons in a deck box or 15 and bad commons in piles on your bedside cabinet/the bin.

Keep all commons/Normal Rares/foils that are old enough for me to not care about (Curse of Dragon, Legacy Warrior) in my myriad tins, and all other foils in my LC1 binder, along with nonfoils that were intriguing (Rabbidragon, Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon, Exodia's 6th piece, the full set of Meklord Army monsters I pulled from the same pack, etc).

Most of my decks are sleeved and bound with rubber bands.

I keep all my useful/relevant commons and rares in a deck box just in case people need them. Same for Archetype stuff, they reside in a deckbox. The rest of my commons are put in a shoebox, organized by set and in order, and the shoebox resides under my bed.

Many of my holos are put in my trade binder, mainly organized by rarity.

Trade Binders: By Price
Otherwise: By what it came in

I store them all in the ridiculous amount of tins that I've bought over the years. As well as 7 Legendary Collection 2 binders (note that I did not buy all of those, I just ended up collecting some) and a third, much larger binder.

Decks are kept in a drawer, everything else goes where ever I have room.

I don't have enough time to sort them out lovingly. Or I do, i just don't feel the need to do so.

With exception of decks since I don't play IRL, I pretty much do this except any holos/rares/commons I like I keep in a separate box/tin.

I use Tins with yellow tape on them (as signs to help me know what they have)
-EARTH
-More EARTH + FIRE
-WATER + WIND
-DARK
-LIGHT
-Normal Spells
-Normal Traps
-More Normal Traps + Quick-Play Spells
-Counter Traps + Continuous Traps
-Equips Spells + Continuous Spells
-Ritual Spells + Ritual Monsters + Field Spells + Synchros + Xyz + Tokens + Fusion Monsters

Then all Normal Monsters in a shoe box.
Holoes in binders (super rare or higher)

LC02 binder has all my holos that are not in decks (up to 3 copies of each) plus some related cards (my 3rd Raiza is just Rare, for example). Hidden Arsenal holos are just 1 copy per card. Rest of holos, rares, some important commons and most recent pulls fit in Number 10 tin. Deck, Side and Extra go in the most recent mini tin (the one that contains The Shining). Rest of commons go in my RDA, Majestic Stardust and Dracoequiste tin, except for like 150 commons that will move to the Number 10 tin once I get the Heliopolis tin and move my rares there.
Also, what's the best way to organize commons in tins when the most important part is fitting as many of them as possible?

Oh, and most importantly, a pile of jank Ulti's. People LOVE jank Ulti's.

Especially because you can over-value any of them based on the fact that they're hard to find.

I had a Monster binder before, but I just sold it for $25 and I'm just going off a LC02 binder for now until I get something better. I've got tons of white boxes in the closet full of commons and stuff, and my rares are kept in a plastic case, along with the holos that I don't think I can get much out of.

I'm not sure there's a single common over $5 except Dragged Down Into the Grave and Royal Decree, all of which I've sold.
[/quote]My statement is still valid. Thanks for providing a proof, though.

Decks: deckboxes
Playable commons: 2 cheap-ass binders; 1 for monsters, 1 for s/t
Playable foils: 3 small monster binders; 2 for monsters, 1 for s/t
Bad foils: small "It's time to Duel!" binder, always leave it at home
Bad commons: sorted a few hundred of them out into old schoolbinders, large amounts still in boxes
