Catterjune Posted November 1, 2012 Report Share Posted November 1, 2012 This topic isn't against the rules because I said so. --- If you're keeping track of lolYCMdrama, you know we (the mods) recently-ish got access to a bit more of the adminCP. Namely, we can make new forums, rename old ones, move stuff around, move subsections around, and so on and so forth in that general area. Now, I don't wanna hear about your big fancy plan to get rid of Literature or turn Debates into a parking lot or make a Joke Card section. This being the TCG section, we primarily discuss TCG-section related things. You can also mention Your Deck and Other TCG's in all this too, since they are loosely related. So YCMers of TCG, if you had unlimited free range to move sections around, to rename (and refocus) sections, to make new (sub)sections (Yugioh TCG News, YuGiOh TCG Articles), how would you design the TCG-related areas of YCM? News --Other TCG News That way threads on things like V-Jumps that come out can actually get a say without becoming spammy or whatnot. Turning off the post count in the section would be advised though given how the person updating has a chance to double/triple post depending on how many people are replying at that time. Basically, the OP will provide detailed information on the deck, what the important cards are and what they do, etc, and people discuss/share their ideas/share their deck variant/etc. Since it's an informative section, to avoid some jagoff from posting a "how to build vanilla stall," and for quality control's sake, the person must submit their OP to the mod for approval to make the topic, or the thread gets deleted. Or I'm remembering them in big dumb unorganized masses. So here's a big dumb organized pile of whatever: - Tournament section? Might only see a bit of activity around the big events. - Some kind of like "Tournament Report/Battle Stories/whatever" kind of section where people would post about their locals, or about duels they had, or about major tournaments. - News about pack releases and such. Promos, new decks, re-releasing cards in super shiny lettering. Stuff like that. - Articles or something? A lot of people asked about it. Maybe give it it's own section. - A section focused on hypothetical. Stuff like: "What if Test Tiger was a Gladiator Beast" or "What if Wind types got their own version of Dark Armed Dragon" or some other silliness like that. I was thinking in an "TCG Strategy" section where we discuss how a Deck or Archetype is (or should be) played, and how it can be countered. Much easier to navigate for future need. Tournaments can just be hosted in TCG since, once they're done, they're no longer needed (the tournament section will be cluttered with a bunch of locked topics). Same with pack releases. Discussing which ones are big, how they're run, how to counter them, and what cards could work with them/variations in topping builds. Only the highest quality articles should pass through and more importantly, we need the best duelists we have to moderate the section and approve the right content. Deck --> Other Deck That like normal, but then have 2 more sections added on: -> News/Info (including news on major tournaments -->Tournament Reports -> Deck Discussion/Article Section Of course, Tournament Reports may also have something to do with My Deck so...
