If you use it to assist a 2-Material effect (e.g. Laggia), the 2-Material effect can no longer be activated (because Laggia no longer has 2 Materials to activate it with). Sleepy Posted November 21, 2012 Report Share Posted November 21, 2012 Not worth it. Rank 5 is not incredibly hard, but it's not your ideal easy generic Xyz staple. If you are gonna make a monster whose's only purpose is to be extra ammo, it needs to have easier forms of getting to the field than the monster that needs those munitions. [/quote] If Laggia had 1 Material and Freezerdon had 1 Material, then yes you could activate Laggia's effect, removing 1 Material from each monster. Much like using Spell Counters from Citadel, you can activate effects even if the Xyz activating the effect doesn't have any Xyz Materials, so long as Freezerdon has 1 Material to pay for its 1 Material Cost (or shared like above) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The main thing holding this back, other than its 2000 ATK, is the fact that it's a Rank 5. If it were a Rank 4 it would actually be usable to some extent, in my opinion. If Laggia has at least one also, then obviously the second one would come from it. If Laggia has only 1 and Freezerdon has 1, then you can activate Laggia. The "you can detach 1 onf those Xyz Materials from this car" means that you can only ever use 1 of Freezerdon's Materials per activation. You cannot use two of Freezerdon's Materials in one effect activation. It already has rulings that show you can activate effects even if the Xyz has 0 Materials and you only use Freezerdon's Material. This is no different than using Magical Citadel of Endymion and Spell Counters where even if the monster doesn't have any Spell Counters to activate its effect, it can still activate its effect if Magical Citadel has enough.
