Aerion Brightflame
Lets sum this card up briefly. It can cripple somedecks, most propechy, Rabbit, Glads and anything that likes lots of searching. However, it will die very, very easily in normal format due to it being a continous spell. And it has a limited life span, there by making it pretty much pointless. So in regular format. its terrible. In Chance format, it has some hope... not much but some. jabber2033
Thunder King Rai-Oh does almost the exact same thing. And Rai-Oh is far better.
byak
it definitely isn't terrible when it stops everything in Mermails except Megaloabyss, and then Zenmaity, Magician, and Factory in Wind-Ups, etc saying that it's terrible because it's continuous is basically saying Gozen, Rivalry, DFissure, and Macro are terrible, when they're not
Aerion Brightflame
I suppose I put my point across badly. I do not mean that all continous spells are terrible, becuase as you have so clearly said, they are not. However, 3 of those are traps, which gives you flexability, and allows suprise your Opponent with them. Fissure I can't argue with, but there are better ways to shut down Mermails and Wind-ups than this. This also unlike the rest of them has that Clock on it. Which kills most of its playability. And like people have said, Rai-Oh is frankly a better version of this. So is this card terrible? Relative to the other options available, yes. TheKaitoKid
That last line is what makes it bad. If it were a trap that line would be justified but its a spell which makes it slow and mostly mst bait.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
It's like a much better version of Corridor of Agony, though Corridor of Agony looks much cooler, and can serve a different purpose/is permanent.
Dementuo
saying that it's terrible because it's continuous is basically saying Gozen, Rivalry, DFissure, and Macro are terrible, when they're not
I won't disagree with this since it's entirely true, and I still believe that counterability means nothing when discussing how good a card(s) is. If the opponent has an MST, then they have an MST and you'll lose your Gozen/Rivalry/Macro/Fissure. The way I see it, though, is that this card is less reactive than any of the other four that were mentioned. For example... This card only prevents. Gozen/Rivalry can be flipped on a full field to act as a part-way boardwipe and put pressure on the opponent. You can always flip Macro whenever you see a Synchro Play, the opponent drops a Hornet, or something of the nature, and you can drop a Fissure, and then swing into Sangan/Treeborn/Other graveyard-based card. All this does is keep the deck from being a toolbox. I suppose you could drop this, then hit into a recruiter, though that's about the only really reactive play I could see with that. AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Continuous cards are harder to kill than Normals since they can't be Beam'd. But then again, your opponent knows what he/she is getting rid of. OT: The thing this has over Rairai is that it stops SSes from the Deck altogether and it doesn't eat up a Summon. The things Rairai has over this, the chaos food, decent ATK, and the ability to kill SSes by himself, make it much better. At least this kills itself during the Standby Phase, so if your opponent hasn't managed to kill it, you could use your Deck more actively than while this card is on the field. Sora1499
Except Night Beam is bad and should feel bad... OT: Don't think I'd run this card. Maybe side it against wind-ups, that's about it.
Not-so-Radiant Arin
Night Beam is good in Aggressive Decks that run 3 MST and 2 Lance. OT: Wasn't this a side for Gladiator Beasts once upon a time back when the game was bad?
