I mean, commonly seen things like Guide and what-not would just get eaten in that End Phase. Anyway, Discuss.
Kingdom Xathers
From the image you've provided, its ATK looks to be 1200. Pretty nice, considering that most other direct attackers start off with anything over 700-1000. The last effect, however, is what hampers it somewhat, as no one is going to bother playing Wasteland (gives 200 ATK and DEF to Rock, Zombie, Dinosaurs and Machines), and there are other cards that can do more than negate an attack. The Warden
Wasteland doesn't power up Machines, that's only in DotR. But, the Doodlebug presents an interesting point. Should Konami produce more cards that have effects that tangle with specific field spells?
~British Soul~
Should Konami produce more cards that have effects that tangle with specific field spells?
Well... there are those cards that require Umi to be face-up to activate their effects, the non-Lightray Daedalus cards (and Codarus). Then again cards that require specific field spells to activate their effects in an interesting concept.
Cute Rotten Yoshika
umi is a different matter because literally every water field spell is also treated as umi so you have a lot of not bad options for that.

Cute Rotten Yoshika
back to the card, its pretty nice. the last effect is dumb as hell but if wasteland got the umi treatment then i could see it being more useful.
Sleepy
I'm all for the idea of having the distinct Field Spell Cards from the old ages get support. I always thought Umi being the only relevant one was bs. Forest Wasteland Umi Yami Sogen Mountain Of course, they should have done that like, 10 years ago, when the people who actually used those cards was around, but better late than never I guess. Toffee.
Despite the fact the attack-negating part was just for plot aspect, since the area Jessie was in was a desert, and Rock Spirit declared it was Wasteland~ Its still pretty original, as far as effects go.
