Blake
3 Level 8 monsters You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; draw 1 card and reveal it, then, if the revealed card is a monster, inflict 800 damage to your opponent. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this effect. You can only use the effect of "Enthusiastic Coaching King Giantrainer" up to three times per turn. Just Crouton
I so badly want to make a Monster Mash deck that makes this. Drawing 3 cards to inflict 2400 damage sounds hilarious.
evilfusion
Unless your Deck specifically revolves around this, it's competiting for a slot with Neo Galaxy-Eyes. It's a 2800 that essentially lets you draw 3 cards, the burn being a slight bonus, but skipping your Battle Phase is a bit hard to swallow, compared to Neo Galaxy's 4500 and ability to absorb Overlays for extra ATK and attacks. Toffee.
Giantrainer is such a beautiful card. Always is, always will be.I so badly want to make a Monster Mash deck that makes this.Open with 3x Eatos?Use Sephylon to revive them later on?Some obscure deck that uses Galaxy Wizard's 'I'm now Level 8' effect?I dunno'. Canopy Star - Eon Sphere
Unless your Deck specifically revolves around this, it's competiting for a slot with Neo Galaxy-Eyes. I think that they both have their places. I often use Giantrainer when my opponent still has a monster or Set cards, but less than 2400 LP, because I can get off his effect without being Force'd or Prison'd, and the draws are often helpful. You of all people know how fast Photons can set up, with the right cards. Neo Galaxy-Eyes is for times when I need negation, or when they have lots of Xyz on the field, but strangely, mostly the former. People tend not to spam Xyz unless their running Wind-Ups, which I admit I haven't played that often. I'd run both over Destiny Leo though, but you already knew that. Aerion Brightflame
I don't think I've ever wanted to summon this in Photons really. When you have 3 Level 8's out, normally you can win the game easier through beatdown than by overlaying into anything. Or going into Sun Dragon Overlord. However.. it is less of risk to go for than Neo Galaxy. But Photons can't afford to take that much of a risk. Given how badly they recover advantage. evilfusion
I've wanted to Summon this in Photons twice. One time I realized I didnt have it in that variant's Extra. The other time I overlooked that it can't battle that turn, which cost me the game.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
I've wanted to Summon this in Photons twice. One time I realized I didnt have it in that variant's Extra. The other time I overlooked that it can't battle that turn, which cost me the game. I summoned it using Photons, but not because it was the better play, only because I -wanted- to. Unless you're just going to burn for game, there's almost never a reason to go for it over Neo-Galaxy Eyes.
