Thomas★Zero
In accordance with the WRGP Duels: rather than being a 1-on-1 Duel, it will be conducted through groups of 3 and each teams shares a pool of Life Points in each Duel, equal to 8000 times the number of Duelists on their team.If 1 person on the team loses, all remaining cards on the field of that person are moved, if applicable, to the field of the next person on the team to Duel, and the turn immediately advances to the End Phase. The losing player is still on the duel during the end phase and can activate card effects (if able). The Graveyard does not move with the other cards. The matches are Survival duels, so the winner of each duel must continue against the next opponent with the same stats he/she finished the last duel (Field, Life points, hand, removed from play cards, and graveyard.)
Source page for anime version: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/World_Racing_Grand_PrixI remember that I used to play this style of duelling often with my friends (through mix use of Real cards and YVD) during the 5D's era when this was introduced, which I had found really fun to play since you never know what's going happen.I mean (as an example) I some how by freak incident managed to go into flawless victory of 3 - 0 some how for my time. I don't know how I managed it but I remember it happening.Still its always interesting if as second/third to see what your team left behind which could be used for a possible advantage in the match.so... what are your guys thoughts on this, do you want this to come back as a thing or not really interested. Azuh
http://shriek.twoday.net/stories/285825863/ I assume Japan do them quite often?
Wildflame
It's only cool if it involves motorcycles.
evilfusion
It's a cool idea, but Duels would take forever, require 6 people in attendance (a maximum of 2 which may not end up participating at all) and it could be incredibly complicated rule-wise. But very fun.
Blake
You can do it on DMG. ... But to do it in any sort of Tournament Manner, which would be a MINIMUM of 4 teams, with 8-16 teams being preferred, would take forever. A 4+ team tourney end way too fast, unless round robin or swiss, and requires a minimum of 12 participants.
Sleepy
I remember there was a problem with Exodia in this format iirc. The idea behind it sounds fun, but I I don't think many decks again will really take advantage of teamwork rather than try to do as much on their own during their time as possible. Miror B
I remember there was a problem with Exodia in this format iirc. I believe you mean that fact that 1 person gathering the 5 exodia pieces = instant victory for the entire team.
Premier Alexander Romanov
As long as you cut out Speed Spells, Speed Counters, and Speed World, I'm game.
werewolfjedi
in this format, a successful total lockdown and exodia would be completely broken if pulled off. just as a (admittedly stupid) setup, the opponent locks the opponent with caster village and sanctuary, and toys with the opponent till they summon the big trap negating spellcaster, black something or other, and proceeds to then smash in the entire opponent teams face, cause no one can play anything that is a legit threat. ( till someone plays prophecy and laughs in their face, but that's a *I"m playing this deck that happens to ignore your lockdown* situation) anyway, the basic idea for it is interesting at least, because not every otk can *do it again* meaning that if you play smart you can save your own, kill the winner of the last round, and be ready to take on the next player with superior resources.
