cr47t Posted March 16, 2013 Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 You see, WOTBF totally deserves be banned, since it allows you to add cards with super-high ATK from your Deck to your Hand with no cost like STSD, WDOR, Wickeds, or RDD. Sangan, however, should be un-banned, since it has a limit to the ATK points for the monster you add it to,, which is not so OP`d. I know it can also add peices of Exodia, but there are some Sangan situations in which getting a piece of Exodia is a bad idea compared to things like Junk Synchron or Gravitic Orb. True, but you need all 5 to use it, and Sangan is much more useful in other cases. A little late?. Sangan already got banned... Sangan isn`t entirely broken, but a bit OP`d in some terms. And besides, there`s alrweady a lot of cards that can negate its effect. stuff like Skill Drain and things like that. 10/10 insight ??? ATK means nothing when you're grabbing the combo piece that you need to OTK/make power play/answer a problem/etc. The entire merit of the low ATK argument is that you're not grabbing anything good, but numerous top tier decks have shown us that this is not the case. If you want me to make a list, I will. 2. Skill Drain can't hit sangan because sangan activates in grave and skill drain affects the field only. Even then, the counterability argument that you're putting forth is literal shit. 3. Sangan is incredibly abusable via synchros, limit reverse, chaining call to an MST, and even just setting the fucker. All you have to do is lay it on the field and you get a guaranteed plus from an extremely broad pool of targets. 4. Sangan is searchable straight to the place where you want it most. There are plenty of reasons to hit him, although I think he'd be fine at 1 this format. Konami probably banned him to push their meta, because I don't think any currently meta deck uses sangan save for maybe Evilswarm, and even then, he's not absolutely necessary in there.
