Cyber Dragon

Should be considered a staple if it isn`t already.

I'm going to have to tell you, you're incorrect. Unfortunately.

OT: Good sideboard for Machinas, Gadgets and anything running Machines. Pretty irrelevant elsewhere. Guys, remember when this was limited and was in every deck? Nice LIGHT stick. Good stats, easy summoning condition. Level 5. Did you know people acted like the world was ending when this was first made?

...good times.

I had no idea the SWJ was a card! :O

Was a brilliant side for Gladiator Beasts and Blackwings and Machina Gadgets getting good didn't hurt it either. Nowadays the only thing it's really decent against is Wind-Ups and even that's a bit iffy. If anything I'd main it because it is decent against everything, but not amazing against anything.

Out of curiosity, why is Solar Wind Jammer better than Cyber in Karakuris?

I do remember the days when this was amazing. I also remember getting 3 of them, Power Bond, and Cyber Twin online because I wanted to use a Cyber Fusion deck.

Sadly, yeah, it's pretty mediocre now.

You can summon SWJ on the first turn.  That's about it really.

Back  in the day, this card's existence annoyed me.

Why would they make something like this to outclass all 1900 ATK beaters when The Tricky was already balanced enough?

and they kind of kills Vampire Lord, Airknight Parshath, and stopped caring for Penguin Soldier/Man-Eater Bug as much.

Nowadays when Tefnuit was released, my first thought was "why didn't they make this the Cyber Dragon back then?"

My bet is Tefnuit was designed with the memory of Cyber Dragon and was balanced as a result. Plus Dragons had much more support than Machines in terms of spamming.

Not Tefnuit TEFNUIT, but Cyber Dragon with Tefnuit's effect. I mean, just the effect.

It would have actually worked out since Zane's strategy was always sort of related to Dragons. With those Cyberdarks later on and all.
