Arthur, of course, had anticipated Cestus having to deal with multiple exiles in battle, and caught sight of Justice's approach long before Cestus did. "Cestus, watch your back!" he called out as he cast yet another card onto his duel disk. At that moment, a greatsword appeared in Cestus's hands, covered in electricity: a Lightning Blade. Cestus, who obeyed his partner's command, turned around 180 degrees, and raised his new sword above his head, blocking Justice's strike. The sword had augmented Cestus's strength greatly, so although he was at first at a disadvantage due to the force of gravity acting on Justice's larger blade, he overpowered his strike within a few seconds, the force of his own blade knocking the silent swordsman back. "Another maggot for me to squash! How exciting!" Cestus yelled through a giggle.

Astrum smiled when he saw Justice step into the fight. He'd been looking forward to facing him in the duel, but now he could see him fight as an ally. Of course, he didn't waist too much time on this train of thought, and charged Cestus again when he saw Justice get repelled. Zane didn't waist the downtime that Justice had given him, and used it to cast one of his face down cards from the duel: Tyrant Wing. Astrum's wings grew in length and were subsequently encased in a shining white light as he flew at Cestus with another claw strike. "I'm gonna tear you to bits!"

Zane then turned around to face Seth, whom he'd just heard say something that made his blood boil. "You...." he said through clenched teeth as he clenched his fist as he saw Noxus fly away toward the other arena. Of course, before Zane had any time to act on his anger, he spotted a large Dinosaur charging the platform. Reacting quickly, Zane ran from the vicinity as the large reptile collided with the dueling platform, leveling a good quarter of it. The Exile's partner slugged Matt in the gut and kept running past Seth and Leah into the stands, following his dinosaur. A second later, the dinosaur made an about face and charged the platform once again. Matt was obviously hurt, and with all three Exiles either away or caught up in another fight, the four duelists were defenseless, or so Zane thought. Just then, Seth began casting burn spells against the charging dinosaur, and used one of them to propel himself into the air.

Seth obviously wasn't going to help anyone but himself, and so Zane took it upon himself to get the other two duelists off the platform. As the dinosaur continued charging back across the green thorugh a hail of fire, Zane ran and picked up Matt, throwing him over his shoulders in a fireman's carry. As he was about to leap back off of the platform, he called out to Leah. "Leah, jump for it!" Zane leapt off of the dueling platform about a second before Kavulsus arrived at it, and hoped Leah had heard him and managed to get off.

"Not If you can't hit me!" Cestus called back mockingly as he dodged Astrum's strike by jumping up into the air, laughing hysterically at these two exiles' attempts to inflict harm upon him. Then, he let two waves of lightning loose from his new sword. One aimed for another section of the stands, and another straight down at Astrum and Justice below him.

Within the lobby, Serene Von Greggory had just cast Polar God: Thor, in hopes that the creature would be summoned on earth in order to help her out of the debris. Luckily for her, the large giant materialized, his sheer size breaking through the rubble as he came into being, offering Serene a way out. "It's been a while, has it not?" he said in a friendly, yet imposing tone.

---

Luckily for many of the civilians, Noxus and J's efforts to un-block the entrances paid off, and now many of them began to make their way out of stadium nine. Unfortunately, Chad Noble was there waiting to prey upon them, and without monster hunter escort they were sitting ducks.

Throughout the city, many other Exiles and duelists loyal to Diabolos had revealed themselves, and had succeeded in their surprise attack on the city's local defenders. Many of the local monster hunters and military police had been killed in the initial assault, and now only about 30% of them remained, outnumbered and outgunned against DIabolos's now superior numbers. They city's only salvation seemed to be the CONSNT forces stationed outside the city, who were on their way to Gaea from deployments all over the continent.

"I'm surprised to see you here again, Rin." Vashkin replied in a friendly tone as he let loose a blast of dark magic in Marrissa's direction, while still keeping his polearm pointed at Kyra's neck so that she could not move while Rin blasted her from behind. Of course, Marrissa skillfully countered with a negate attack trap, and began to sprint across the green toward the platform. Glathe flew alongside her, and about halfway through the run, Marrissa removed both Kyra and Glathe's cards from her duel disk. "Summon-transform! Dragunity Knight- Trident!" she called out as she placed the synchro monster on her disk. Suddenly, as she was just about to be attacked from behind, Kyra disappeared in a bright light, which soon collided with Glathe in midair. From out of the resulting vortex came a large, light blue dragon, and riding on it was Kyra, who now donned a form-fitting set of light blue armor. "Now to pay you back, Hunter." Kyra said from atop her new steed. Glathe roared from underneath her as he flew at Rin and Vashkin, ready to bisect the one who did not dodge him on his massive jaw blade. "Be ready!" Vashkin called out to his old coworker as he let loose another blast of magic at the large dragon. Out of the corner of his eye he could see that another enemy had arrived, and that Brione Madiste had appeared to challenge them.

"Hell yeah!" She yelled excitedly "See I told you he would come Fae!"

As Thor appeared the area blasting open from Thor's summon allowing people to escape from this side as well. She could see two exiles fighting another she wasn't shure who to attack but then she saw one that said that they were maggots her was going to crush and she decided he was her target. Gritting her teeth she opened her deck and placed two cards on the field. "I activate Nordic Welic Drauphir!" Suddenly in a ball of green light suddenly splits and melds with Thor's hands quickly becomes a ancient Nordic Relic that was said to give one the Strength to lift mountains and shatter continents. "I'm not done!!! Now I activate Nordic Relic Mjollnir!"

With that the hammer in Thor's hand changes form as if relieving its true self by the old hammer shattering.

"Are you ready Thor!!? First Polar Judgement! *The Effect would paralyze all of my opponents creatures* Then Attack the Burning Knuckler." She said with a tight fist before pointing at the Burning Knuckler, Thunder Reign!"

Sitting down on a nearby-step James sighed, while Amren looked at him.

"We really should of gotten a map, any idea where we are Amren?"

"Not a clue Sir."

James starts looking around, "Are we even still in the sports complex?"

"Lets keep moving, we might at least find someone that we can get directions from somewhere..."

James, noticing Amren's ready state. "Aren't you tired? Your wearing full armour... It can't be easy." James said still catching his breath.

"Not in the least, I would train for hours doing more then just running. If you want to slay dragons or what-not in armour, you've got to be quick, agile and unpredictable."

"Oh... well we'll move soon then."

Rin was slightly annoyed at whoever controlled the Harpie Exile. She showed more skill and faster reflexes in 2 seconds than Tama has done for the last 2 years.

"Crap... No one told me they'd bring giant dragons to this! Rin, you better do something- and quick!" It's not everyday you get to see a giant dragon, and to Tama, it certainly isn't a pleasant experience. His instincts are telling him to run away from the giant lizard of death, but he stood still, as if he is frozen with fear. "Jeez, Tama. Do something too, will ya?" Rin snapped into action and detached herself from the ground she was in before. As she zoomed through the air, something looks odd about her. She seems to be missing a lower body part, and is instead replaced with a ghost-like lower half. But most intriguing of all is the fact that she is semi-transparent and just phases through everything, safe for the magic blast Vashkin used. After skillfully dodging Vashkin's shot to as not get hit in the crossfire, Rin phased through Glathe only to reappear on his back, just behind Marissa. Her skull-gun is fully charged and ready to shoot at any command. "Good night, dear princess." She lightly mocks Marissa as her weapon glows a bright blue.

J looks over to the chaos surrounding him again. It doesn't seem to have changed since he last saw it, but instead it just grows more and more chaotic. His fake frown belies his true emotion; pure ecstasy from seeing Exiles battle each other to the death. He truly wished to be able to join in the fray and thrash everything, but there's only so much a man without an Exile could do, especially with Jormungandr still in development. However, he does have an image to keep up, and he found just the way to do it. He looks at Arthur, who was too busy watching his Exile fight to notice him. J cracks a small smile and draws a pistol from his pocket. It was small, but a properly aimed bullet to the head can stop the rampaging maniac. "Sometimes, you need more brain than brawn." He aimed his pistol right at Arthur's head and fired it. Alas, it missed and instead hit the ground not too far away from where Arthur is.

Fearing he might have been detected, J swiftly ran away towards the nearest safe place he could find, the battleground near Vashkin, Tama and Rin. He arrived at the battleground and placed  2 of his monsters, T'lion the Mesmerizing Maneater and Kazura the Mesmerizing Maneater, on his duel disk in a slight hope of summoning an Exile, despite how much he hated them. "Just work this once... Just work and I won't throw you into the Cauldron."

Now that he had reached an area where most of the people either had left or were dead, Sgt. Davidson broke out into a run, still keeping the three cards he had selected gripped securely. He heard screams and gunfire from out side the stadium, then heard a single pistol shot from inside. Pausing momentarily to make sure that he wasn't the target, he made his way over to where Arthur had begun his attack. "You! You're the ringleader?" Sgt. Davidson didn't give a chance to reply; he saw that the monster card on Arthur's disk was the same as the Exile that was currently fighting the swordsman and the Stardust. "By the authority of the CONSNT Monster Hunters, you are under arrest! Trap Card activate, targeting his Exile, Spellbinding Circle!" He laid the card in his Disk with a quick motion, then pulled his right fist back and swung it at Arthur with military precision.

"Yes, my pet, keep firing! We must kill as many as possible to complete our mission! Muahahahahahaha!!!" Chad R. Noble was still riding the Summon Reactor AI he had changed his Exile into, and had been ordering it to do tricks and loops and other showboat-y antics while causing whole-scale slaughter. Bolstered by the fact that no one had attempted to stop him beyond a few police officers and low-ranking Monster Hunters, Chad began to direct his assault on local buildings, attempting to cause their collapse.

Having Left the arena Seth had left the Dinosaur chasing him, he would deal with it later but a part of him wanted to knock the daylight out of quite a couple people...but he heard more screaming...and more importantly, the sound of a large machine prowling the halls. "Well Well...seems I'll just have to wait.....the leader should always be killed last.....hey you...maniac on the iron horse...." Seth shouted at Noble, once he turned his head slightly Seth managed to recognize him. "Oh my....so this really is Diabolos' work.....he sent out the crazy one....okay then...." the dark young man pulled out a card and targeted Noxus outside, thought that wasn't his intention. "I activate Flute of summoning Dragon....." the flute appeared in his hand and he began playing, but he was using a very low tone, one he learned that specifically increased headaches and loud enough to get Noble's attention. While he played he began thinking of cards that could affect a large machine type....he'd have to run back to his locker but he had an idea.

Matt' vision was blurry and the events occurring around him were happening to fast for him to comprehend. He felt as if he was being lifted up, and indeed he was, by Zane. He was thrown over Zane's shoulders, and he tried to look around to verify what was happening. He saw blurry visions of dragons, a dinosaur, other things...

He couldn't concentrate. Something must have fallen on his head while he was down. The image kept fading in and out. He could barely make out the figure of a man while he was slipping into subconscious. He tried to look closer, and actually seemed more like a kid. A kid who he knew very well.

"Kev- Kevin? What.. are you...?" The boy Mathias was looking at, or at least who he believed it to be, was his kid brother Kevin. The boy, only twelve, had been missing for a couple of months but nobody knows what happened to him. Why was he appearing now?

Kevin gave a quick smile, and seemed to fade away, along with everything else Matt saw around him. The only thing left was darkness as Matt went out cold.

Though he had been having a good time, Chad R. Noble was now slumped on the top of his transformed Exile, screaming in pain. He looked at the man who had shouted at him and was now playing the "Flute of Summoning Dragon" and glared at him, any joviality in his expression replaced with rage. "That instrument is rather annoying. You have made me rather angry!" He pointed at the city, then at the stadium. "Now, you don't look quite as much like a bleeding-heart as most your fellow CONSNT members, but can you really live with the blood of the city on your hands? Land, my pet, I'll need you to change soon. Chad searched four more cards out of his Deck, and as soon as he landed, he began casting. "Genex Ally Birdman will exchange places with Summon Reactor AI! Then, I'll tune it with my Trap Reactor Double-R and my Spell Rector AID! Those opposing the Light will ally together! Turn the tide of battle, most powerful artillery! Synchro Summon! For great justice, Ally of Justice Decisive Armor!" A flurry of activity broke out at his large aircraft was suddenly replaced by a small mechanical bird, that then became a set of three rings that surrounded a line of seven lights. Finally, a massive, hovering, blue-and-gold machine appeared, sporting three massive cannons. Though he was still in pain, Chad's expression returned to one of sadistic glee, though the rage was still apparent in his eyes. "Muahahahahahahaha!!! There's enough blood in the streets after my fun, a few dozen gallons wouldn't be missed! My pet, prepare to vaporize the entire stadium. Begin charging, Crushing Darkness Cannon!!" The main cannon on the Exile's back began visibly drawing energy, and appeared that it would be ready to fire in a short time.

Seth looked unperturbed by Noble's words, though he felt he should show.....some emotion. "Oh no.......you fiend......" he stopped and looked at the streets. "None of them are worth it......their blood on my hands? you act as if I cared you crazy old kook......if they die from something like this then they weren't meant to be......on the other hand....." he looked as the monster began growing, transforming into the huge beast of a machine that it could be. "On the other hand, I'm not exactly one to allow myself to die......you're just lucky I didn't bring any spell or traps to go against a machine type monster....." Seth pulled cards from his pocket and gave them a quick examination. "And to think I'm usually so well prepared......I don't plan on dying to someone like you though!" Seth placed a card on the field and activated it "Threatening Roar.....it won't stop you completely, but it will make your charge take much longer then you hoped......"

Seth jumped back and targeted the large death machine, pressing his hands together as the card came to life around him, his eyes glowing as he opened his mouth and let his own breath escape to cause the roar, the shockwave causing the large machine to stumble and it's energy being pushed back, forcing it to deactivate it's attack and restart or else it might implode. "That should buy me a minute....." he said as he looked around and saw the saleswoman......the "devil" as she was nicknamed. "well crap...whatever....." he quickly zoomed past to her as she was concentrating on her summoned visitor exile. "Hey, devil girl I need to buy a few cards, we should probably be quick about it....." he said as he kept his eyes on Noble and his Decisive arms. "I'd get my own, but I don't have the time to reach a train...so...be quick about it woman"

{The following rant was brought to you by Kneesocks and Lord JZ.....maybe a bit of TFS........enjoy~}

"2000 bits...." She says without looking back, a slight cocky smile on her face as she pays more attention to Thor's attack.

Seth did a slight double take, actually surprised for a second, the fact that someone in this chaos would try to highball him, it would have been endearing if it didn't piss him off. "2000?! You've got to be kidding me....we'll be dead if you don't get me those cards"

"Money is money and I need to be sure you'll use them right, I can't sell to someone that doesn't care for their cards" She says unfaltering, her horns appearing above her head.

"I am not about to pay 2000 for just those.....you really are just an overpricing dumba**"

Her eye twitched as she almost thought about turning to face him "Don't you call me a dumba**!"

Seth still keeping a timer on the Ally of justice's attack only smirked angrily and responded. "Okay, how about B****!"

"Arrogant D***!" she yelled angrily, he was testing her patience by now.

"Money grubbing S***!" this had just turned into a contest between the two.

"F*** you"

"F*** you"

"F*** YOU!"

"F*** ........YOU!" the last one was said in an exasperated tone, Serene just looked back for a few seconds, seth did as well as he paid her 2500 bits and she handed him the cards he asked for, neither said a word for 3 seconds before she turned to him and said.

"Bathroom......10 minutes after this hell"

Seth said nothing, but he nodded only slightly to agree as he walked away for now......for now.

After that was done he simply walked back to his spot and placed his card face down....waiting for Noble.

Serene didn't know what had come over her, she was normally very shy about everything...something about that man brought the worst, and maybe the best of her.......no just the worst.

He realized the mistake he had made; he'd lost control and decided for power over speed, even though he didn't know whether the red-eyed man had an Exile or what type of Exile it could be. Furthermore, with the effect of "Threatening Roar" lengthening his pet's charge time, there was a fair chance of a catastrophic explosion if he didn't take back control. "Change of plans! Cancel charging of primary weapon, and divert power to secondary weapons and to mobility! We may have to fight out of this one... why do I never remember painkillers!?" Chad had shouted the orders when he noticed the red-eyed man walk away, then clutched his head with his right hand again before reaching for his deck. He said something about not being prepared for Machines then walked away... I may need an escape route... those cards should do. Noticing that his pet had finished diverting power and was now slightly less immobile, Chad turned towards were his adversary had disappeared and was about to shout more taunts when the red-eyed man reappeared, looking more confident about the situation. "Excellent. Now die. My pet, now! Left arm, Lancing Anti-Meson Cannon, targeting the duelist! And prepare to dodge in case of emergency!"

Seth was beginning to run towards the mad man, and he was already getting his card ready, twirling it in his hand as he watched the monster beginning to charge a secondary weapon. "This should be fun....." Seth said with a smile as he held his arms back, his black hair and red eyes reminiscent of Noxus', like a monster charging at another, he reactivated his flute of summoning Dragon in his left hand and played the tune loudly, taking advantage of the man's headaches. "Show me what you have old man!" he yelled as he activated his Trap card "Dimension Wall" a rift opening in front of decisive arms to absorb it's attack, a second portal opening behind him to redirect the attack, the rather expensive card immediately burned before the full effect finished, leaving a small opening to move the behemoth of a monster out of the way.

"and now my favorite part" Seth announced and then jumped off a piece of upturned rubble, another card in his hand, he flashed it as "System Down" but didn't activate it yet, he needed to touch the card to the machine for the effect to take place, but he planned on punching the man in the face once he landed, then he would deactivate the machine and take them both down, he could already feel his life force being drained for the cost of the card.

"Argh... my head! Wait, that flute... NO!" Just as he had recognized the "Flute of Summoning Dragon", Chad's panic was interrupted by his pet being hit by its own Anti-Meson Cannon beam and beginning to fall. "Urg! There's no time! Trap card activate, -" His activation statement was seemingly cut off by a massive explosion that seemed to originate with "Ally of Justice Decisive Armor". The explosion sent a shockwave through the stadium, shaking it but not causing any more structural damage, and when the smoke cleared, Chad R. Noble and his Exile were gone.

Several blocks away, behind a few buildings, Chad R. Noble and his pet that had once again taken the form of "Summon Reactor AI" made a rough landing, the robot's legs scraping the ground for a few feet before reverting to R-Genex Oracle. "Are you hurt, my pet? Ah, there's a deep scratch in your casing. Well, luckily I was able to think quickly, otherwise we'd both be in a lot of trouble. I'll have to not misunderestimate them next time." He scooped up his Exile and started to walk towards one of the designated "Wall of Revealing Light" activation points. He may not have been able to keep himself together, but he was certain that enough bloodshed had been his doing that it would be enough for one of the activations.

Sleeping was one of Marshal's favorite things to do. The objective was simple, absolutely necessary, and he usually did not perceive any drawbacks. But today was different.

A motherfucking robot broke his window and the shards killed his cat. Didn't kill it immediately though, it gave the animal enough time to crawl through the floor, staining the carpets with red until it finally reached Marshal's bed, where the cat scratched at his hanging hand until he woke up.

The man opened his eyes sharply, then lazily glanced at the incredibly painful feeling he was so used to. F***ing cathe thought to himself as he sat up to look at the fat, grey thing. S***, that's not grey. That's red and grey.

Marshal jumped to his feet next to the bed. The first thing he noticed weren't the shards of glass halfway in his cat, nor the fact that he was completely naked. No, a vein popped in his head as he looked at the trail of blood on the carpet. "NOT ONLY DO YOU F***ER KILL MY CAT, BUT YOU MAKE ME GET OUT OF BED AND SEE MY CARPET STAINED WITH BLOOD. THIS S*** WON'T EVER COME OFF. YOU ARE DEAD IF I GET MY HANDS ON YOU."

The cat had now died. But instead of even looking at it with the slightest remorse, Marshal looked for his .45, inside of the drawer of his bed-stand. As a lawyer, he knew he had enemies, so of course he'd keep himself safe. Still naked, he began to tiptoe next to the stain on the carpet until he started noticing the glass shards. Looking up, the metal frames of the windows were twisted in sharp angles. Marshal scraped his nape, sighing in exasperation. "So nobody killed my cat or anything. But somebody's going to pay for my goddamn window."

With that the lawyer walked up to the window frame, avoiding as many shards of glass as possible. He managed to look up right before an explosion shook the entire structure. Slowly, pretty sure of what he would see, Marshal lowered his gaze and tightened his grip on the gun. Yeah, pretty much. Exile fighting.

Indeed, from his apartment in the twentieth story, he had a pretty good view of the whole bunch of dragons and other winged shit destroying things all over the place. One thing caught his attention however. A big blue machine, a Decisive Armor he concluded, just blew up below. Near the entrance of Hydra Stadium... six? He didn't remember. He could distinguish a Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon. A Thought Ruler Archfiend blasted out of the sky by an icicle.

Okay, so staying in the building was not an option, he could be killed at a moment's notice. Marshal ran to his room, ignoring the shards of glass cutting his feet as much as he could. The first thing he reached for once he was in his room was the small, silver wireless ear bud on top of his bed-stand. "Carol, do you copy?"

A second's worth of pause.

"Good morning sir, had a good night's sleep?"

Marshal sighed heavily. "No, and this is no time for small talk. What is the closest CE to my current position?"

"I-I am very sorry sir. You are currently in your residence, therefore the closest unit is SCE-03."

A Sanguine AI. That would be okay, if a bit too chatty for an escape flight.

"Fine, call it to my current position. How long will it take."

"ETA two minutes, sir."

Marshal raised his eyebrows. Two minutes for an E.L.T.A.N.I.N. fighter meant it was pretty far away. "The hell? You don't care for my safety all that much, do you Carol? The closest fighter is miles away from Gaea!"

The robotic voice apologized in a surprisingly girly fashion. Not surprising for Marshal though, this was everyday business. He usually felt naked without his ear bud. Wait a second. He was naked.

[hr]

Two minutes later, Marshal was perfectly suited up in his usual formal clothes. He was supposed to work today after all. Oh well, at least I'll make it to work in style. The fighter hovered lightly next to the trashed window frame, and slowly lifted its canopy to allow Marshal to jump in. He ran his usual inventory check before hopping in. Briefcase, check; tie, check; disk, check; Deck, fuck.

The lawyer once again honored his name, and dropped everything he was holding to go fetch his deck from the same desk he kept the gun in. He liked to think this was symbolic, as the E.L.T.A.N.I.N. was undoubtedly one of the greatest weapons he had ever come across.

In truth he didn't even have sleeves for his cards, let alone a deck holder or an extra deck holder, the cheap bastard. So he just stuffed the cards, Extra and all, in his pocket and back to the drawer every day. He ran back, grabbed everything but the briefcase, and took off on the vessel. He later realized this and decided his mood would be shit for the rest of the day.

The craft hovered on, silently above the raging battle down at the city.

Marrissa, who had mounted Glathe shortly after he had grown in size, was shocked when she felt the burning pain from Rin's skull gun, and then the force of gravity followed as she was knocked from her dragon's back. Luckily, Glathe was not flying very far above the ground, and Marrissa survived her impact with the ground, rolling away on the soft turf of the green. "You little B*tch!" Marrissa yelled, her usually calm face contorted with anger. Quickly fishing for a card from a deck box on her hip, she ran after Kyra and Glathe. As she played the card on her duel disk, a large chain appeared from out of thin air, and launched itself at Rin, grabbing her arm and pulling her back toward Marrissa as the dragon continued his charge toward Vashkin. "Try a fiendish chain." Marrissa said as she flashed an evil smile.

Kyra and Glathe continued their charge at Vashkin, who began charging a large blast of dark energy, waiting to release it a point blank range. When Glathe and Kyra were only a few feet away, he let it loose, and a large explosion rocked the area. Out of the resulting smoke cloud flew Vashkin, who was apparently wounded by one of the blades on the side of Glathe's face. The blade had been torn off of the dragon's head, and was now protruding from Vaskin's side. Blood was oozing from the wound. Kyra and Glathe, who had not escaped the explosion unharmed, also flew from the smoke cloud. Both looked like Vashkin's attack had done some damage, but no serious injuries were visible.

Astrum reacted quickly and flew low to the ground, narrowly dodging Cestus's lightning wave as he darted back toward Zane. Astrum landed next to his partner, who at that moment was gently putting Matt back down on the ground so that he could focus on the enemy. "Zane, he's much stringer than me now. At the moment I just don't have the destructive force necessary to inflict significant damage to him. I can land a hit with these wings, but it won't do much. I need a weapon."

"I'm way ahead of you, just hold him off, alright?" Zane replied as he began fishing through his cards. "I knew I should have put that card into my deck today!" he angrily thought to himself. Cestus wasted no time in pressing his advantage, and charged Astrum with his blade. The dragon countered with his wings, still shining with the light of Tyrant Wing, but they weren't strong enough to hold back Cestus's lightning blade for long. Astrum broke from the clash just as Cestus overpowered him, and narrowly escaped with a large gash on his left shoulder. Had he moved any later, Astrum would have lost his arm, and as it stood his left arm was barely useable. Crimson blood streamed from the open wound.

Astrum charged his breath weapon, gathering various particles from the air into a white-silver sphere in his mouth, which was spinning at supersonic speed in under a second. Then, he let the blast loose at Cestus, who jumped up to meet Astrum in the air. The blast connected and knocked Cestus to the ground, although it caused negligible damage. The boxer responded almost instantly by launching two more waves of lightning from his sword. Despite Astrum's efforts at evasion, one of them connected, cauterizing a part of his shoulder wound and causing burns to Astrum's left side.

Giggling with delight, Cestus let loose several bullets of flame from his free hand. They were light, but still large enough to cause damage to Astrum, who had barely managed to recover his flight path. He was buffeted by the full barrage, and knocked into a nearby pile of rubble by the force: the remains of an upper deck. The dragon coughed up a bit of blood upon the impact. It was clear to Astrum that, if something didn't happen soon, this Exile was going to kill him. He couldn't let that happen, not with Zane vulnerable on the ground. Cestus decided to take the opportunity to toy with his opponent. He didn't usually take time out of a fight to taunt a victim, but this dragon was too much fun. "You should close up those wounds, Stardust. Otherwise the blood will stain your scales!" Cestus smiled wide and laughed at his horrible joke. "You'd better get up, quick you know. Bore me and I'll just have my fun with more civilians, you know!"

"Bastard!" Zane yelled as he cast a Raigeki Break at Cestus, who simply laughed and blocked the trap with one of his shoulder shields. "Better yet, I'll just kill you partner. Sounds like good fun!" Cestus called out to Astrum, who was beginning to pull himself out of the rubble. Zane broke out in a cold sweat as Cestus began walking toward him, Lightning Blade in hand. Arthur, meanwhile, had watched the whole fight unfold with a grim look on his face. He was just waiting for a couple more casualties to occur. His role in the strategy required a large amount of life force, and he'd almost caused enough damage to procure enough of it. He twirled a card in his hand. Suddenly, a shot rang out, and Arthur and Zane could see the sparks come from a bullet as it bounced off some of the rubble behind Arthur. He looked over in the direction of the shot just in time to see a man fleeing the arena. He recognized him as J Kujaku, one of the top ranking hunter officials, and a personal enemy.

Astrum pulled himself from the rubble, wounds still oozing. He wasn't in any condition to put up a good fight, but he had to try. Otherwise, Cestus was going to kill Zane, and then him, and then everyone else still in the stadium. Letting out a mighty roar, Astrum charged Cestus with shining wings outstretched. Cestus turned to face Astrum and prepared to strike him down for good with his lightning blade, when suddenly a large thunderclap could be heard from across the stadium. Cestus turned toward the source of the noise just in time to get hit full on by a massive thunderbolt, released from across the green by Polar God Thor, who at that moment began to fade back into thin air. Astrum narrowly avoided getting hit himself as the blast brought Cestus to his knees.

"Found it!" Zane called out as he brandished his duel disk. There were now two monsters in play on it. Astrum, and Armory arm: Astrum's weapon of choice. "Here's your weapon, Astrum." Zane said with a smile as he moved Armory Arm to his spell/trap zone. The gauntlet quickly flew toward Astrum, and as Cestus began to stand up, Astrum made contact with the gauntlet, which attached itself to his right arm, changing its color to match that of Astrum's pigmentation. The sleeve shrunk to conform to Astrum's thinner arm as well. Arthur began fishing through his deck for another card to respond, but before he could find it he was hit square in the face by Sgt. Davidson, who shouted that he was under arrest. The force of the punch knocked Arthur to the ground hard, and his nose was now bleeding.

Cestus, who was oblivious to the attack on Arthur, angrily brandished his sword and jumped toward Astrum. "Nobody ruins my fun!!! DIE!!" Astrum flashed a confident grin with his reptilian teeth. Now that he had a weapon of his own, he could inflict some serious damage. "Bring it." Said both the exile and duelist in unison as Astrum charged Cestus with his augmented fist. The two weapons collided with a massive wave of energy. Both Exiles were now evenly matched, and neither was going to give an inch this time. They clashed in midair for what seemed like a few seconds, when suddenly a magical ring: the Sergeant's Spellbinding circle, formed around Cestus. The magic weakened the Burning Knuckler enough for Astrum to gain the upper hand. The white dragon put all of his force into his downward charge, and he slammed Cestus into the ground while Armory Pulsated with a purple energy. When Cestus hit, Astrum released all of the energy within the gauntlet at once, and a massive explosion followed.

When the dust cleared, Astrum was standing triumphantly on top of an unconcious and injured Cestus. He roared victoriously as Arthur crawled to his feet. Arthur smiled as he placed the card he'd been holding on to his duel disk. "Activate! Wall of Revealing light!" With that, a sickly green-yellow light burst from the card and into the sky. It stayed suspended in the air for but a moment before opening up into a ring shape, which began to descend and grow larger. Soon it was out of sight, and a second later a massive dome of opaque energy covered the entire city, preventing any foreign matter from entering. Arthur let out a laugh as he cast one more trap card on to his duel disk and tossed it on top of Cestus. Almost instantly, a large machine: compulsory evacuation device, appeared from underneath Cestus and took off, taking the exile and Arthur's duel disk with it into a Diabolos-controlled portion of the city. "What did you do?!" Zane yelled angrily as he ran over to where the Sergeant had Arthur subdued. "I've trapped you all, like rats." He said with an evil smile. "That wall is impenetrable, so none of your reinforcements will be able to get into the city. We'll overwhelm you before any help can arrive. You're all so screwed." He laughed. The plan was going perfectly, and now all that was left was for the other four to cast their wall cards as well.

"Well, for the moment, you're out of the picture. We'll worry about what to do about your Trap when we get to it." Though his words were measured, Sgt Davidson's voice was on the edge of anger. He gathered Arthur's hands behind his back and then secured them with a zip-tie that may have been just a bit too tight. He turned to Zane. "Thanks for keeping the big guy our of my hair, citizen. I might not have been able to get this close if that Exile had been paying attention to his partner. You'd make a fine Monster Hunter, but we can't deal with that now. We need to find this guy's accomplices. He didn't detonate the exits and he couldn't have been directly responsible for whatever happened outside. Either way, there's a lot more to do, and we can't rely on or even expect outside help. By the way, I'm Sergeant Smith Davidson. I just wish we had met under less dire circumstances." During this, he had kept a firm grip on Arthur, ready to stop him if he tried anything.

Joe looked over at the dragon who had just fired in the middle, halting Joe's groove and allowing the Archfiend to catch himself,

"Okay maybe I wasn't being clear enough before. I'm a member of CONSNT, here to save you, stay behind me you'll get out alive, Et Cetera. Now if you would be so kind as to stop attacking me like some kind of idiot and pick up those two innocents and get them out of this city, I think you'll be doing everybody a lot more good than you're doing right now." Joe turned back to Brione and the fight ahead of him.

Brione stared down Axiex, completely ignoring the pompous dragon, if he wanted a piece of Brione he was going to have to wait his turn. He was not terrified in the least bit; Joe and himself hadn't even gotten warmed up yet and the Archfiend was already showing weakness in his defensive plan.

"Maybe before you launch a devastating attack on the city of Gaea you should do a little bit of research on their fighters, you undergrowth."

You know the drill, Joe.

Joe nodded at Brione's telepathic message as he pulled out a few cards, notably 2 Hydro Pressure Cannons, a Metalmorph, and Steel Shell.

Hey Brione, why don't we wait for his move first? I would like to see the look on his face when he charges head first into what I've got planned.

If you must Joe, but can we please stop playing games and finish him off?

---------

"No need to worry, Axiex. It would seem one wall card has already been cast; we can wrap things up here and then go straight to dominating the city for DIabolos."

"I see... Well then let's not waste any time!"

With his explicit instructions of "Kill this man" he completely ignored the other dragon nearby; he was of no threat to Axiex; neither of them were. He opened up his claw, conjuring a ball of psychic energy and clenching it into his fist. Axiex gave a ferocious flap of his wings and made a break-neck fast charge at Brione; the puny wizard would die for Diabolos.

---

See? Just as planned. Joe slammed down all four cards at once. Brione held out his two arms as large cannons surrounded them, with a chamber at the bottom of the gun, meant to store water, which was connected by a wire that was fed into his biceps. An armored and spiked shell then began to latch onto him, also feeding wires into his armpits and torso, only to be topped off and finally complimented with a metal alloy crawling over his skin, completely sealing off his face, leaves space for only his eyes and mouth. Soon, his entire body was engulfed by the metal and he was completely transformed into something much greater.

Brione lifted both guns, filling each chamber with water by use of his magic and firing highly accurate, incredibly strong shells of water at Axiex. The two bursts were flying just as fast if not even faster than Axiex's proposed agility. The sheer force of the water meeting Axiex's bones rang sharply off of the platform as Axiex went ungracefully flying and tumbling back along the platform.

Finally, Joe placed "Fiendish Chain" on his duel disk.

Many chains erupted from the ground and tore through the platform to apprehend Axiex's wounded body. Axiex screamed in defeat, he was mortified that such a puny wizard had bested him so quickly.

"My name's Joe Kandillo of the CONSNT monster hunter division, you and your crazy duelist are both under arrest."

---

Lacey dropped to her knees and stroked Axiex's head, which was protruding from the chains. As Axiex was getting weaker, she could feel reality bending... back to what is wasn't before. Things were starting to not make sense. Faces were melting off of the bodies of Joe and the others as other complexions were fit to them; the countless corpses, they were all alive and cheering again... were they here to watch the matches? Why is she in the middle of them? She's supposed to be waiting for Arthur's signal!

"Don't worry, the signal will be coming any minute and then we can all enjoy the carnival! Can we go on the ferris wheel Daddy?" She was talking to seemingly nothing, yet she was fully engaged in whatever she saw. She still rested on her knees, having many conversations with names that didn't make sense...

---

Joe stared at the seemingly mental duelist, "Jeez. They take radicals from anywhere these days." he muttered to Brione as they both approached Lacey, and Joe handcuffed her.

"I guess all we can do is wait for backup."

Noxus looked forward at the wizard, disgusted that such a weak being had pretended to be above him, but that wasn't the point, Selina was behind him and his duelist, meaning he was the one he needed to avoid killing for now. "To think the arrogance on such a weak monster would be so high" he said loudly as he merely stood back and watched the two inferior monsters fight. the sorcerer soon went ahead and equipped himself to the teeth with equip cards to bring down the psychic beast, it made him smirk in amusement. "How weak.....Diabolos could do no better then this? Growing Senile already.....how amusing....."

The large black dragon stomped past the human controlling the Aqua Madoor and stared down Selina, she was simply in awe, and that annoyed him.

"WOW! You're amazing mister Joe, you were like woosh when you summoned your exile! and then you were like "I'm a monster hunter" and they were like "oh no!" and then you had her exile like "ouch!" and so the young girl kept talking, looking over the wto before she saw Noxus and knew she was in trouble. "Uh....Oh......"

"and here you are being nothing more then a nuisance yet again! Why didn't you even attempt to summon your Exile!?" Noxus yelled at the young girl, like a father would to his child.

"I....I forgot......." she said embarrassed as she felt an eerie presence. "Where...where is my brother?"

Noxus smirked as he felt the vibrations of the flute of summoning Dragon "He's taking care of business, I'd say he managed to finish off one of these idiots on his own"

"Doesn't that mean he doesn't need you anymore?" Selina joked before she was grabbed by her collar by the black dragon's teeth, pulling her Gagaga Girl outfit a bit tighter on her body. "Nyaaaaaah!!!!!"

"Don't you dare say that! the boy would be lost without me! Who do you think taught him the melody he just used?" Noxus defended himself as he felt another wave of energy from the other stadium. "And it seems Sparkles the wonder Dragon also defeated his opponent....good, it would have been a shame for him to die so soon"

"Astrum is okay?!?! Yay!" The young girl cheered while she was being lifted, before she felt her costume was too tight. "N...Noxus......my chest is too tight....can;t breathe......."

[HR]

Meanwhile Seth had seen enough, Walls of revealing light had appeared around the city and it made him smirk slightly. "Diabolos you mad genius.....we can't get out....but our reinforcements can't get in...." The dark young man kept walking until he found the opening to one of the stadiums again, seeing Arthur the first perpetrator had been taken down, and elsewhere he could feel a third one had been defeated. "This was definitely too easy....he almost sent these as pawns......you've begun you're game of chess and you forced us to play our knights early, with the rook nowhere in sight......I'll enjoy this game Diabolos, but remember, if you want to win this game, the king must also make a move....."

Rin's attack succeeded, but she lacked the power to properly end Marissa's carnage. Following her shot, she slipped right through Glathe's body and was ready to fire another shot at Marissa. Just as she charged her weapon again, several chains appeared near Marissa who then grabbed her hand and pulled her towards it's owner. Rin's trying her hardest to break free, but the chains seem to not only weaken her, but also make her solid once again. "Hey, slowpoke! I need a hand here!" Rin looked over to her owner in a panicked state. Tama, being untrained in the ways of Exile combat, had slower reflexes than the others. But, he still retaliated Marissa's Fiendish Chain with a Mystical Space Typhoon, causing a small distortion in space appear near Rin, destroying the chains and allowing her to move free again. Rin utilized this small window to punch Marissa in her face before retreating back to Tama's side just as Vashkin's attack create a large explosion.

"Well excuse me, princess." Tama jokingly said to Rin just as she landed beside him.

"Hey, you could at least react quicker. You know, the same way you would after your crush messaged you?" Rin's comment made Tama blush, but their moment was interrupted when a thick opaque dome blocked the sky. At first, Tama seemed a bit awe-struck, but he quickly regained his calm composure and instead signaled Rin to brace herself and be ready for another attack from their enemy.

J had more or less, anticipated that something like this would happen. He certainly didn't place it as likely, but he knew that one of Diabolos' many plans would in some way include trapping Gaea and all inside it. He smirked confidently in response. After witnessing an MHD Sergeant, Arthur and one of the competitors suddenly disappearing, J rushed over to his original destination, stadium 6, discarding his original plan to summon 2 Exiles to assist him. Luckily, he was close to it, so it took less than 30 seconds from where he was to stadium 6. When he arrived at the stadium, he walked over towards Joe and a handcuffed little girl sitting beside him, staring awkwardly. "Your name was Joe, wasn't it? And your Exile... Hm.. Can't say I know who he is. I'm Captain J Kujaku from intel, but you might know that already." J lifted the tip of his hat as to properly introduce himself. He looked over again and saw a Psychic-type Exile being restrained.

"I see that you have caught quite a fine thing here." He was of course, referring to Axiex. He then shifted his attention again to the handcuffed girl who was just sprouting nonsense out of her mouth. J crouched so he can look at her face-to-face, only to stand up again, but with a slightly twisted look on his face.

"This girl might be a little too dangerous to be left alive. After all, there's no guarantee that she wont bite our face off once we release her." J paused mid-way to grab an item in his pocket- a curved butterfly knife. "I say we put an end to her insanity? Won't you agree, officer?" J then held the knife close to Lacey's throat.

Joe stood at attention at the mention of J's name, "Yes I am quite familiar with who you are sir. My exile's name is Brione Madiste; an Aqua Madoor. We seemed to have seized one of the radicals involved in what appears to be an organized siege of Gaea. As for fine? I am not so sure. She seemed to completely lose it after the exile was seized."

At the mention of executing Lacey here on the platform, Joe froze; he had never experienced a live execution, and it was only a knife. Whatever type of death J had in mind for the seemingly insane radical was going to be gruesome,

"Uhh, sir I don't really think that is the best idea. Uherm, after all we have to bring her in for questioning, should we restore any mental function..." he was pulling anything he could out of his mind to help save this girl's life. Something about J's intentions rubbed Joe the wrong way.

---

Lacey sat there, completely lost in her own world until a man had crouched down and gotten in her face. It was only a matter of second before he was holding a knife up to her throat. A half-cocked grin stretched across her face, a fine cocktail of fear and pleasure written in her eyes and face,

"Oh stop it Jack, you're scaring me! You know my mother would not appreciate these kinds of games! We're supposed to be a simple couple, you and I. Must you always take things so fast?"

With a blurt of even more nonsense, she rolled her double jointed shoulders and wrist to the front of her body, forcing Joe's hand off of her forearm and grabbing the knife out of J's hand, then slumping to the ground with it, resting on her knees.

"Gee, this thing sure is scary Jack. Why would your job trust you with such a fine weapon like this? After all, this kind of thing is of no use to a simple dairyman. Why do you have such scary things on you, Jack? Go on, you can trust me, honest!"

Lacey's brilliant blue eyes looked up from the ground into J's face. To her, he was her high school sweetheart, and this wasn't at all where she thought she was. An old home in a simple town seemed to be not so far away in this empty field that her, Jack, and a friend of his were all having a grand time in.

"Leah, jump for it!"

Hah, if only. Leah was so dazed by everything that was happening around her; first it was the monster killing the announcer, the melodramatic speech and the interruption of the duel by this killing machine, to Justice throwing himself into battle to save Leah's life...

Now, it was a dinosaur crashing onto the platform, Matt was getting launched into piles of rubble, and now the other creature intended on taking the whole platform down with it. Leah was not even close to fast enough as the platform crumbled.

To both her fortune and demise, she was knocked to the side by the dinosaur's massive tremors, causing her to be flung to the portion of the platform that was still standing, and into a pile of rubble.

The dinosaur and his keeper had both already left the platform, along with Justice, to go fight off the monster that originally started the conflict. She was all alone in this pile of breakage from the formerly glorious platform. She looked around with her half opened eyes to see if there was anyone around her who could help her. Of course not; she knew being this weak would be her downfall one day.

She simply opened her hand and rested it in the ground next to her; if she was fortunate enough, her savior's hand would be there soon, and she would survive.

Arthur winced as the zip tie dug into his skin, but he didn't dare try to escape. He was defenseless without his cards and exile, after all. "You're welcome, but he would have killed us if you hadn't cast that trap when you did. Thank you for saving us. I'm Zane Marcer by the way. It's uhh... nice to meet you too, Sergeant." Zane responded awkwardly. "I'm guessing you're a hunter then." At that moment, Astrum stepped beside him. His wings were still shining, but Armory Arm had left his arm, and was now hovering above his injured shoulder, pinching the wound to stop the bleeding. He spoke to the sergeant telepathically, although Zane could hear it too. "I'd like to thank you for helping us out as well. We'd have been dead otherwise. Who are these people, anyway?" Astrum gestured to Arthur with his good arm.

Suddenly, Zane remembered that he had left an unconscious Matt out near the platform. Then he thought about Leah. "Sergeant." Zane interrupted the conversation as he pointed Matt. "Can you give my dueling partner a hand? He might be hurt and I don't have any medical training. I'm going to try and find one of our opponents. I never saw her get off of the platform." He began to run toward what was left of the dueling platform, then he stopped quickly and turned around to say something else. "I'd be more than happy to give you guys a hand fighting, but I want to make sure she's alright first. I'll be back!" With that, Zane took off, and in a few seconds he reached the platform. He did not like what he saw....

---

Marrissa saw Arthur's Wall of Revealing light envelop the city, and smiled. Arthur's spell was the core component of the strategy, and now the barrier only required two more cards to become completely impenetrable. Of course, Marrissa had barely done any damage, so her card was, at the moment useless. Worse still, she saw Lacey's defeat at the hands of a man who identified himself as a hunter. A three-on-one fight now seemed plausible. Weighing her options, Marrissa decided that retreat was the best one. "Glathe! Kyra! We need to go!" she called over as she activated a Compulsory Evacuation device. The vehicle erupted from the ground underneath Glathe and Kyra, taking them with it as it flew toward Marrissa. She took Kyra's outstretched talon as the device flew upward, into the same direction as Cestus's own retreat a few moments earlier.

Vashkin pulled Glathe's blade from his torso as blood continued to flow from the wound. Quickly, he touched it with his palm, and a burst of Dark Magic sealed and healed the area. He glared at his retreating enemy then hovered over to Rin and her partner. "Thanks for the assistance, Rin. I appreciate the help." He turned to Tama and addressed him as well. "You performed admirably out there as well. I thank you." The warrior then turned to face Joe and J, and addressed everyone present on the green, although he spoke more directly to J. "Chief Kujaku! The situation outside is desperate, sir. That dome in the sky is a barrier, and its preventing any reinforcements from entering the city. No one can get in or out, sir." He then gestured to his wizard hat, which had a two way radio built in to the interior, from which Vashkin was able to hear Hunter communications. "Whats worse, operations tells me that they are being overrun by soldiers and exiles, sir. The enemy launched a surprise attack, and they've inflicted enough casualties on us to have gained a numerical advantage. If we don't do something soon, we'll lose control of Gaea in a matter of hours. I suggest we gather all of the hunters stationed in the complex and put a strategy together." With that, he hovered over to the platform, and landed in the center of it.

---

Most of the dueling platform was a wreck. The half that Zane and Seth had been on was still standing, although it looked like it could collapse any second. As Zane ran around to the other side, all he could see was a pile of destroyed rubble where Kavulsus had collided with the platform. No sign of Leah. Carefully, Zane stepped into the rubble, taking each step slowly so that his foot did not sink into an unstable area. The last thing he wanted was to gash his leg. Then suddenly, he saw her. Leah was slumped against the rubble that composed the destabilized interior to the standing half of the platform. As quickly as he could, he made his way over to her, relived that she was still breathing. He wasn't sure if she was conscious, but he spoke to her anyway as he took her open hand in his and, as gently as he could, slung her arm over his shoulder. "Lets get you out of here, ok?"

Sgt. Davidson was about to answer when Zane ran back towards the unstable platform, gesturing to someone who looked unconscious. The Sergeant took a second to zip-tie Arthur's ankles, then ran over to the boy and proceeded to take his pulse. "He's unconscious, but he's still breathing. Probably took a nasty knock to the head." He fished around in his pocket for a pair of cards, "Red Medicine" and "Blue Medicine", then turned to Astrum. "Hey, big guy. Think either of these will help? Don't know if you or the kid needs it more." He then winced as he placed the cards in his left hand, the pain from punching someone in the face finally breaking through the adrenaline rush of combat. "I'm not as young as I used to be... Anyway, you wanted to know what these guys are up to? Truth be told, I don't know either. I have reason to suspect that this event is connected to a terrorist group we've been trying to track down for a while now. Rumors mostly, no concrete leads or arrests, until now. Though I suppose it doesn't do much good now that this part of whatever plan they have has succeeded. We can't punch through that wall by conventional means. There's a few unconventional means that won't work either." He watched as Zane pulled the female duelist from before the attack out of the platform rubble. "Medicine might be a good idea over there too."

His pet was still injured, but Chad R. Noble had reached the activation point just after the main Wall had gone up, sealing Gaea from CONSNT's main force. Well, here we are. Don't worry, my pet, I'm sure your repair protocols will complete soon. He fished around in some garbage in the alley for the Disk he knew would be there, then pulled it out. He'd need his main Disk for Dueling and combat, so he'd rather keep the card on the backup. "Trap card activate, Wall of Revealing Light!" His previous reasoning that he'd caused enough damage to activate the card was well-founded, as a pillar of light shot into the glowing dome overhead, visibly strengthening it.

Seth had made his way back to the arena he had been in previously, the once crowded stadium was no either empty or riddled with dead bodies, it reminded him a lot of his childhood, almost exactly like it.....the main difference being the bodies on the ground weren't just piles of dust in the shape of people......what a messed up vision he was having, must have been hit by rubble when he was thrown off by the Fake Explosion trap card. The thought was still there, he felt himself a lot smaller then he was now, just a small child in the middle of nothing but destruction, he looked down at his arms, cuts and bruises all across him, his clothes torn, and the sound of buildings crashing down from instability.

Seth looked around the arena, but he began seeing empty streets, and to the ground he saw two figures made of dust, on the ground, unmoving, one was wearing a duel disk but Seth was the one holding the card. This was nothing, nothing at all, just the first day he remembered is all.....there was nothing to it.....nothing to it at all....A gust of wind rushed by and sudden;y the two figures burst away into nothing more then dust, and as his mind focused on the world around him he simply saw two deep crimson eyes in the rubble.

Not even a second later he was back in the stadium halls, and that was a good thing, any longer and he would have actually felt emotions.....Seth walked in through the hole made by Thor when he saw the cards saleswoman once more. "Seems you lived, good thing that Norse buffoon appeared when he did....." he said insulting the God before he stood at the entrance, a few feet away from her as he overlooked the entire arena, it seemed the others were still recovering from injures, but they had all lived relatively unharmed.......

Selina had managed to jump down from Noxus' mouth, but she was still in good spirits, especially since now she could properly thank mister Joe and now mister J for saving her. "Yay!" she giggled as she grappled onto J, hugging him rather tightly and spinning as he was trying to get her off, the direction they had gone in had spun the blade away from Lacey's neck. "Thank you mister leader hunter person! I was really scared earlier and everything! Luckily all of your hard working people helped me out" The more she spoke the more her words seemed to slur. "Even though........Icouldhavegoneaheadandsummonedmyownexile...ormaybenothedoesn'talwaysappearbecauseshe'sactuallyavisitorexilesosheonlyappearseveryonceinawhilebutohnevermindthatIneedtothankmisterJoeand hissupercoolexileforsavingme!" the excited young girl stated as she jumped off him....probably leaving him Dizzy.....and missing his knife....

Selina giggled and suddenly was skipping over to Joe before she jumped high in the air to aerial tackle glomp him into the ground, rubbing her cheek against his. "THANK YOU SO MUCH!" She said repeatedly as Joe would probably notice where the knife was at......somehow during the spinning it went from J's hand in between her sizable bust, she didn't even notice and the blade was beginning to poke a hole in her costume's chest.

"I just really wanted to thank you so please accept this hug! Don't worry I won't hug you so hard you break!" she....threatened? It was unsure but the girl was quick to recover from emotional panic.

As a highly trained, extremely efficient member of CONSNT's elite monster hunting force, he was used to being thanked on the job. After all, him and Brione were commonly the heroes in any given situation, so he was usually pretty prepared with answers for the gratitude of the common bystander... But to say Selina was even remotely close to anything that could even be considered common would be a wild, dangerous understatement. It was a matter of seconds before the seemingly small, somewhat scared girl was on top of him, spewing words out of her mouth faster than even a textbox could withstand. (yukyukyuk) Even faster than that, she was throwing herself on top of them with her favorable bosom dangling in his face.

It wasnt long before he found himself staring. Not because of her marvelous bust... Well maybe a little bit, but notably because J's knife had somehow found its way fixed in between her breasts, jutting out of her shirt even moreso than the cleavage itself.

"lN-no problem, ma'am, it's all part of the job..." Joe couldn't help it, "I'm sorry miss, I'm gonna need you to stay still. You seem to have caught something in your shirt..." Joe reached for, and successfully grabbed the knife, closing the blade and slipping it into a storage department of his duel disk in one swift motion, "I just couldnt stand having something hurt your... Uh, never mind. Amyway, Brione and I are happy to help. Why dont we focus on getting you to safety eh? Things look like they're getting dicey around here. Best to get you out while we still can." He gave as nice a smile as he could. Couldnt he just save an ugly hag for once? Life would be so much easier.

All was right with the world for a while. Well, Marshal's world at any rate, otherwise you'd have to consider that the world was half scorched to oblivion and that very deadly indeed spirits roamed it.

Anyway it was alright until a pillar of light briefly shot past the E.L.T.A.N.I.N. vessel, missing it by a few yards. Marshal looked up in mild fear as the pillar spread into a dome, which covered the city in a bright dome, and with it its airspace and the SCE-03.

Marshal freaked out. He started yelling in the small canopy, kicking the floor with his freshly-polished shoes. "THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE, CAROL? I CAN'T GET TO WORK LIKE THIS! MY BOSS IS GOING TO FIRE ME."

"But you are the boss at the firm sir, you cannot fire yourself," the voice of Carol rang in his ear. "You can afford to skip a day from work sir, I am sure..."

The lawyer's angry reply came quickly. "No Carol, I can't! Not after I got my carpet all stained with blood, lost Rick Von Whiskers, a glass wall AND its frames!"

"Yes I do know sir... I keep your bills in check myself."

Marshal sighed and addressed SCE-03's AI. He knew the source of the light barrier had come from below because of the pillar, therefore this was his objective. "SCE-03, descend in upright position. We need to go down to that exact same spot. It is vital for us to exit this area. God knows why is there a building OUTSIDE of Gaea..."

"Sure thing sir!" the AI replied energetically from speakers on the console, "but don't you think it would be a little too boring if all we did was slowly descend to the ground? How about some acrobatic fuckin' pirouettes, sir? Would that not simply be the best thing to do in this situation? Sir? Sir?"

"Carol I am not doing this, override SCE-03."

The speaker stopped babbling and the large vessel came to motion once again, descending slowly until reaching the source of the light.

The thrusters of the spacecraft briefly increased in strength, in order to allow for a soft landing. The canopy opened, revealing the well-dressed figure of Marshal stepping down and looking around. He noticed a few things were off: A man in a uniform restraining an unarmed person -not even wearing a disk; another man, being smothered by what seemed to be a hyperactive chick in a Gagaga Girl outfit; and right next to them a Stardust Dragon, one of its arms disabled and an Armory Arm actively assisting it. What a risky card to cast, Marshal thought; casting another exile in hopes that it would materialize and only then guarantee its functionality as an Equip. Either whoever cast it thinks they're a big shot, or they knew it would consistently happen...

"Errr. Excuse my rude entrance and my lack of a proper introduction, but I am currently on a very tight schedule. Could any of you gentlemen explain to me what the source of this inconvenient barrier would be?"
