this is exactly what konami is going to do with the fall 2013 banlist and we all know it.

I could type up some Konami-like article that explains the "reasoning", but I'm honestly too lazy to do it. It was just an attempt to "hit" the top decks the way Konami does, along with choosing a random deck and flatout trying to kill it. In this case, the unlucky winners were the Gadgets :<

Anyway, Magician of Faith coming back isn't unlikely since Konami would want to "promote" Spellbooks, yet at the same time I can't imagine they would leave them untouched. So hit Secrets and Master, cause Konami seems to hate consistent decks and they still get to make money off of Judgement Day.

Reborn Tengu "promotes" Fire Fists obviously.

Banning Sarc is a thing because if you hit cards that make a deck work, like Big Eye and Dragossack, then Dragon Rulers aren't as big of a problem anymore! ...Right?

The thing with Warning was to promote use of BTH with Mesmerizing Fiends on the way. Ideally this would include a reprint of BTH with super special rarity in the new Battle Pack or something.

Zenmaity and Magician switching just feels like an extremely Konami move. I could have just banned Magician though and it still would've been Konamish.

The Rabbit Ban is mostly because they don't need it to make money anymore, and want to promote their new top decks!

Overall, I think i did a pretty good job being Konami here. All I need to do now is print a ton of broken cards and repeat next banlist, right? :'D

If you think Big Eye is going to get hit in any way when there are 2 waves of tins coming out AFTER September, you're crazy.

2 waves? Only 1 wave. Blaster and Tidal come out in August. o- o

Also unnecessary hits on Machines is incredibly unnecessary and uncalled for. Just ban Ultimate Offering.

Dang, I thought those came out before the list, cause I could totally see Konami releasing those Tins then banning Big Eye.

Also unnecessary hits on Machines is incredibly unnecessary and uncalled for. Just ban Ultimate Offering.

Part of the reason I did it was because unnecessary. Thinking about it though, banning offering and semi-limiting the Gadgets works better then hitting Machina's at all.

Konami has shown to overkill Gadgets in the past, which is the kind of thought I was thinking, but that was a bit much, plus it hurts Madolche's a bit.

This is true.  However, it's likely that the Blaster/Tidals tins will have good reprints nonetheless.

I like the look of this list since it weakens, E-Drags, Gadgets, Wind-Up, Prop's still their are a few things missing from this list like Tenki to 1 and the hit to Mermails because stuff like abysslind where attacking it leads to them summoning one of their decent level 7's Mermails from the deck is just plain nuts (Why don't they have level restrictions!!!)

Look. I agree with most of the things on this last, except for the fact that you think that they're going to pull the old switch with Magician and Zenmaity.

The only reason that this doesn't strike me as true is this: it's much easier to pull off any Wind-up combo with Zenmaity than with Magician. I realize that there is the magician + shark combo, but need I remind you that TGU alone can bring out Zenmaity, and so you would have a +1 (I think) card advantage, which would not really be the case with Magician.

Also, they just put Zenmaity in the forbidden list, and Konami has the habit of not reverting any cards that they just hit back to their previous position unless it has been 2 or more ban lists later - this being the primary reason for why they won't touch Wind-ups. That's also the reason why they probably won't touch Solemn Warning and / or Ultimate Offering.

My last objection would be the gadgets - why would they honestly hit them? First of all, from what I've heard, they haven't made much of an impact on serious tournaments, and also, it's VERY unlike Konami to ban three cards that go in a combination in one ban list. It's plausible for other companies, perhaps, but Konami, from past observation, does not work that way. They might touch some card that helps the gadget deck immensely, but they won't touch them directly.

I have no idea about the collector's tins so I don't know what's gonna happen to Big Eye.

Konami has hit all 3 of the Gadgets before. They have never had any of them at a different list place as the others. It goes without saying that, wherever one Gadget goes, the other two are going to there as well.

Now for the list itself:

Listing new changes only

Forbidden

Rescue Rabbit - It has started to become a thing for every deck, it seems. Konami hates two things: consistency, and every deck using the same thing. However, Konami is also fine with Normal Summonable Rank 4 Xyz, especially since it uses otherwise useless Vanillas. For this reason, I think they might limit Rescue Rabbit instead. It won't hurt too much, but I don't think they'll ban this anytime soon.

Wind-Up Magician - at this point, it seems the only way to kill Wind-Ups is to ban all their Level 4s. They won't do that, but this does seem like another good direction.

Solemn Warning - at this point, with their promoting of reckless summoning, I wouldn't be surprised if tons of cards designed to stop this spamming hit the list.

Ultimate Offering - I very much agree with this change.

Number 11: Big Eye - If Number 11 really is a promo, this is most certainly getting limited or banned.

Limited

Tribe-Infecting Virus - This would heavily promote Mermail-Atlantean.dek since you can discard a WATER monster to destroy all the Spellcasters/Dragons/Machines/Psychics on the board without targeting.

Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack - If it gets printed as a promo, this probably gets limited; otherwise I don't think I see it. I'm sure they'll want to promote Dragon Rulers for a few lists. I think they generally prefer to hit a consistency of a deck, not its most powerful monsters.

Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity - The old switcheroo, a Konami classic.

Gold Sarcophagus - Seems logical enough, since it is part of the consistency of the Dragons.

Spellbook of Secrets - consistency reduction.

Spellbook of the Master - again, consistency reduction.

Semi-Limited

Green Gadget

Red Gadget

Yellow Gadget

These getting hit does make a bit of sense, what with that new Goldfish/Kage/Gadgets engine. I'm not sue it will do much, since 6 gadgets gets you through all the GGX and Kings anyway.

Unlimited

Magician of Faith - I don't think this would take the jump straight to unlimited. Tsukuyomi didn't, and with it unbanned, I think Konami would be a bit more cautious with this. So I think they'd put it to 1.

Reborn Tengu - Unfortunately, I find this almost likely.

Bottomless Trap Hole - I'd be happy with this and Torrential Tribute both going to 3.
