Requires 3 Tributes to Normal Summon (cannot be Normal Set). This card's Normal Summon cannot be negated. When Normal Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated. During the End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Send it to the Graveyard. This card gains 1000 ATK and DEF for each card in your hand. Sorry, I didn't know a shortprint card in an already large set which has only previously come as a promo shouldn't be worth the amount it is. The price is fine for what it is, although anything higher than 40 is pushing it

Card's actually pretty trolly because Slifer Garden

Slifer master race

Slifer's Garden is trolly. Also, a Slifer deck did top a regional in the ocg.

I find it funny in the anime Slifer was the worst and Ra was the most powerful, but the roles switched irl.

Why would you say that? Its 1/215+ AND only mosaic. Not to mention its playable and is not even obtainable by other means. $30 is perfect.

To some people yes, £30 is a good price for a card that a person has a 1/215 chance of pulling, but I know someone at locals who is already begging for another reprint of this card (with its JUMP art) and I said to him. "Good luck waiting like 6+ months then, that's if Konami decides to give this another reprint. They may do eventually."

Slifer is uber expensive because it's high in-demand, previously only available as a promo card, and both versions have epic art. Compared to Ra, its effect is beautiful, although Obelisk is more consistent.

It's out of my price range, but it was previously going for almost $100 for the Jump promo.

From the 100 price tag it had, I guess 30 is not too bad, and I figure future reprints will make it drop more.

Though, for me, the rate at which I've seen people pull the god cards actually discouraged me from buying the pack, since most of what it has I already have in my junk collection IRL, and that trio is what I was exited about.

If I remember correctly, of the five boxes opened last weekend at my local store, one copy of Slifer was the only Egyptian God pulled. But we now all have more Abyssmegalos than we'll ever use.

Some guy I saw on Youtube pulled 2 Slifers, after opening 24 boxes....

Same, I've decided to buy singles given the god cards are hard to pull. If I want a legal Slifer, I'll just wait for its next reprint. (Which means I'll have to wait till next year.)

The reason I said that was Obelisk and Ra got localised and now I'm so happy that Slifer was localised too. That wasn't and angry post. It was a "So happy your heart could explode" post. Big difference.

We knew of the Slifer reprint since April. Though I'm surprised that an american would overreact about a card they had access to if they get the JUMP.

Is the Shonen Jump version also worth that much? If so I do love how you can make money by buying tha magazine.

Yes...yes it is. Probably because as a god card, it's got lots of collector value. People had been waiting for Slifer's RL release for years following Obelisk and Ra. The art was awesome, it didn't really get nerfed badly, but the exclusive nature of being a magazine promo restricted how many people could get access to it. Luck wasn't a factor like it is with pulling cards from packs. With promos, you either get it because you're subscribed, or you pretty much have no chance of having one until it's reprinted.

It'll probably drop in value a little now that Slifer was reprinted, but because the reprint uses different art (for better or worse), I expect the JUMP version to still be worth something for a long time.
