Legend Zero
"When a monster would be Summoned, OR a Spell/Trap Card is activated: Pay half your Life Points; negate the Summon or activation, and if you do, destroy that card."Seems like TCG thinks 4000LPs is too much. heraldry_lord
Didn't think they'd ban this, but given the Heavy Storm ban, it's understandable.
hexcalibrate
usually -4000 life points to negate almost anything, it deserved banning
Catterjune
It's only as powerful as the thing that it negates. And it only became a must-use staple after DAD and all the other stupid overpowered cards came out.Should have hit the cards that ruined the game instead of this one. Dog King
Why do people imply like you are always going to pay 4000 for this, if this actually said pay 4000 life points then it wouldnt be on the list. Its just that you can use it any time, anywhere, almost against anything
mido9
It's only as powerful as the thing that it negates. And it only became a must-use staple after DAD and all the other stupid overpowered cards came out. Should have hit the cards that ruined the game instead of this one. It wouldve been a staple by now even without most of the broken cards. It can just put you in an amazing position off negating the right card. Catterjune
If you run a deck that absolutely needs one and only "right" card you deserve to lose. Solemn was a strategy card. Played right it could be the game winner. Played wrong and it could end the game.
Dementuo
I think it's moreso the fact that it can be activated at literally any time during the game.
evilfusion
Solemn Judgment was too good. It negated any Normal Summon, any Flip Summon, any inherent Special Summon, or the activation of any Spell or Trap Card for a cost you can ALWAYS pay. Solemn Warning is much more specific on what it can negate, and if your LP is 2000 or less, it's a dead card. Judgment is a card that pretty much can ensure a win at the right time, and is more powerful the lower your LP is. It's not a skillful card because the only way you can do it wrong is by jumping the gun and flipping it at the first thing that you think is a threat when your LP is high. And even then, that could screw over your opponent. It doesn't promote skillful play, it promotes having a Set Judgment with the knowledge that your opponent probably can't do anything against your next move. Did it NEED a ban? Probably not. But banning it wasn't a bad move.
Azuh
Tbh I dont mind that its being banned as I seem to have not needed it recently so I've been siding it. Although its going to make me sad not playing my Ghost Gold version anymore :'(
Not-so-Radiant Arin
I like how the topic name has the misspelling. Gives it the flair of "going out in style". If you count style as a third-graders attempt at spelling "Judgment".
Yeezus
At really high levels of competition this is probably one of the most skilful cards in the game.

If you count style as a third-graders attempt at spelling "Judgment". It is one of the stupidest TCG fads in existence. >.< A year ago, I would have cheered at the thought of this card being banned. Now, not sure anymore.
Miror B
Early game: pay 4000 Life points, stop a power play. Late game: Pay 500 Life points, win the duel.
~British Soul~
It is one of the stupidest TCG fads in existence. >.< *sigh* I remember that fad, it was pretty darn stupid. Jadgment this, Jadgment that.
-Berserker-
*sigh* I remember that fad, it was pretty darn stupid. Jadgment this, Jadgment that. I declare myself guilty. Now I'll have to find something to replace this in all of my decks. I guess I'll get a holo now at a low price and wait for it's return.

-Berserker-
I don't think you were the only person to do that if I recall. No, but I was the first one that made a topic with Jadgment, if I remember correctly, at least in the TCG section.

To be honest, I can't even remember that far back.
